yes, you get flowers for collecting from rift habitats, but there seems to be a cap on how much you can earn with habitats.
I don't know if there is a daily maximum. I'm now at over 3000 at it hasn't told me yet that I maxed out for today.

What is the daily limit of Flowers?

There is no overall daily limit on Flowers in this event, but the maximum number of Flowers you can earn by collecting from habitats is 500 per day on a regular day, 1000 on a double day, and 1500 per day on a triple day.

I just made an adjustment to the points in the document. I noticed they weren't quite matching up with the numbers I had listed. Not only are the dragons taking longer to breed now, the points we get are lower. I've adjusted the formula, it's a x4 instead of x5 internally, but it drops the overall points by about 25 percent.

Here’s a breakdown of the breeding times using the Runic Breeding Caves, the Element Playlist, and the Flower rewards for breeding:

(1) Breeding in the Runic Caves will reduce the breeding time to 1/4 the normal time (that’s a 75% time savings!).

Example: Wisp (2 hours) bred in the Runic Cave reduced the breeding time to 30 minutes. Received 4 Flowers + 100 Flowers (for an original breed).

(2) Dragons that have at least one element on the daily Element Playlist (metal and cold for today) automatically have a reduced breeding time of 1/4. This appears to extend to all the breeding caves in the Vale.

Example: in the Market, under Dragons, Phantom (cold, light) has a reduced breeding time of 2.07 hours 30 seconds, normally it’s 8.5 hours.

(3) If you breed a dragon that has an element from the Element Playlist in one of the Runic Breeding Caves, the breeding time is reduced to 1/16!

Example: Phantom’s 8.5 hour breeding time was reduced to 32 minutes in the Runic Cave. Received 4 Flowers. Dawn’s 20 hour breeding time was reduced to 1 hour 15 minutes. Received 10 Flowers.

The breeding times have been significantly reduced with the playlist elements. I highly recommend breeding any dragon that contains the playlist elements of the day so you can capture the 100 Flower bonus. But if you can’t visit your game frequently, target longer breeds to receive more Flowers.

Using this speed boost for incubating Cold dragons to speed up my Gaia leveling. Cold dragons are ~2hr incubation (with event Cold day and 25% Gaia boost).

It's a Google doc, make a copy of it and plan away. With you own copy, you can click off the checkboxes for the ones completed. This does NOT take into account the faster breed times for some elements on each day. That would require a whole lot more work and input fields with the current elements.

Hi Quil Thanks for the spreadsheet. Can you please run through how to copy and save this. I opened a google account but so far I only have a tab for the spreadsheet here. Don't know if it matters but I do not have Excel only Works.

PSA: beware of the night

The event is currently set to a night theme, Dusk. If you change it with the Twilight Tower because Sun is a playlist element and breeding Sun dragons makes complete sense, every time you leave the game or switch parks, the theme reverts back to Dusk. Remember to change the theme to a daytime version before you breed in the Runic Caves.

I breed a crypt dragon in a runic cave. I received 9 flowers. Will it normally be 3 but for x3 boost these 2 days?

I tested claiming eggs because the wording was a little unclear. Each active Runic Breeding Cave has one claim it can use, including the bonus caves from triples. i.e, you have four egg claims currently. This can be on anything in the list, not restricted to eggs bred in that cave. I believe claiming itself follows the same normal > twin > twinrift rule as last time; my list was full of Twin Rifts. Exiting the menu and re-entering re-randomises traits. The claimed dragon remains in the list: it appears you can effectively claim the same one multiple times.

Presumably we're going to have at least one more triple day. As you're not technically activating them as such, I don't know whether the claims will refresh on the triple day caves. It might not give another claim, it might give another but not stack, it might give another and stack to multiple available claims in the one cave. The middle case would imply that if you don't use your claim before the timer runs out on the cave, then it's wasted. As such, it may be prudent to try and breed some things you want using the Runic caves sooner rather than later.

As you can get Rifted and Twin eggs from this, there's some real potential to profit from it. Rift forms of hard to breed but easier to social clone dragons like Delirium, Rift forms of the 4 Spellform dragons that haven't been breedable yet, that one Twin you're missing with all those 40 hour fails in the combo... It's up to you to decide. (You and a bit of koala, anyway. 🐨)

An easy way to find the flag bearers of the day: Use the Prismatic Pantheon set to None, Visitors, and the playlist elements currently active (in this case, Cold, Metal, Epic (for Sun)). They light up very nicely.

PSA: no empty nest for Gaia

Since the dragons under the Element Playlist have breeding times reduced to 1/4 their normal rate, the Cold and Metal dragons in the Market have adjusted incubation times of 3 hours and 2 hours, respectively. You’ll receive 36 Flowers for hatching/selling a Cold dragon (the amount for incubating a 12 hour dragon) and 24 Flowers for a Metal dragon (8 hour amount). Keep Gaia’s nest crowded!





For players who are upgrading Gaia, I checked my secondary park, and the Vital Essence you’ll receive for hatching/selling a Cold and Metal dragon is equal to the 3 and 2 hours of reduced incubation. No credit for the original 12 and 8 hour incubation times. Sorry about that.

Chris, if you tap on the dragons as if to buy them on the prize store, it tells you what the pedestal requirements are.

Yep thanks GladeMaid, I had done that; no requirements for me, the dragons are immediately available if I had the 🌺🌺🌺
Quil ’s post earlier outlined why. I think older parks won’t have those requirements, ie we have the qualifying dragons/peds already...

Thanks for the reminder, adlerist! Rookie mistake: I was trying Sun+Sun set on Nightfall. No wonder I wasn’t getting Sun!

Literally my first thought when I saw 4 caves activated and all the extra activity was ‘whoospie for folks with older devices, slower broadband, erratic signal strength etc’

i guess the same old tricks; turn off orbs and crowns, turn off or temporarily stash moving decorations, clear your background non active programmes, hard restarts, sleep and sit on top of your router (😈) but don’t take liquids there, and check the ED for other tips

i find that not moving so quickly with the taps, ie giving the RAM time to catch up, not only lessens my glitches, but slows me down tooo, ahhhh 😜


The other things ive been wondering with the prizes offered so far, is that this event may be possible to simply play as though it’s not happening...we can always breed the dragons later...if you find you’ve got Event Fatigue.  Or dip in and out. Don’t forget the Overlords try to ramp up the stress so you’ll panic and buy your way through the event.

Just checked this out and noticed that the Egg History icon for each Cave has a different countdown counter. One Runic Breeding Cave has a 7 day counter and the other no counter at all. Of the two Bonus Runic Breeding Caves, one has a 3 day counter and the other is 2 days all started at today’s reset. Is that the amount of time we have to use the claim?

I forgot to claim my egg from one of my Runic Breeding Caves before it expired. Can I still claim it?

Yes, once you have activated a Runic Breeding Cave you can claim your free egg from that cave at any time during the event, even if the cave is no longer activated.
