The Jolly Jubilee has been extended and will now run through January 26th, and conclude on January 27th at 11am Mountain Time. When the event ends, the Mirthful Market will remain open for 2 extra days so you can spend any leftover Iceberries you may have.
JOLLY JUBILEE RULES The Jolly Jubilee begins December 19th and runs through January 12th. Prizes will be available through January 15th. After the Mirthful Market closes on January 15th, any leftover Iceberries will be turned into DragonCash at the rate of 1,000 DragonCash per 1 Iceberry.

Sandakloz = 25 Iceberries
These are the amounts for regular days. Sandakloz and presents payout twice as much on double days and thrice on triple days. The number of presents also increases. On regular days, ONE of each present appears once daily at reset. On double days, TWO of each present can be found, except for the striped present (only one). Triple days will likely have three of each.
On double days two purple presents reappear approximately 12 hours after reset (we will see if they continue to spawn on regular days). Please see below for special Prismatic Pantheon settings for the purple present.
There is also a chance to get an evolution decoration, a market/and or prize decoration or a mystery egg from presents and Santa.

FYI: new dragons, Venture and Reminiscence (in the Frosty section of the event store) are not breedable. Only available from the Mirthful Market.
UPDATE: you can now purchase Runestones to activate more breeding caves. You will still receive this old recycled message from Bright Wild Nights, but Runestones are now in the Market. Thank you for the update BFS!
The Runestone price has jumped significantly: $4.99 for 1 and $12.99 for 3. I’m curious if anyone will be purchasing Runestones at this price with the knowledge that the game may not continue.

My Jolly Jubilee says that it’s in progress but needs to be updated, yet there is no update available for me in the App Store. What do I do?
Go to App Store. Search DragonVale. Click into it, then click into the description and the open button changes to update. I did this yesterday and finally got it. When you do open the updated app it asks your birthday and legal stuff. Don’t worry, your park is still there.

Depends on your device. If you're on ios, do the following: Open the app store. If on ios 13, click the icon at the top right. Otherwise open the 'update' tab. Hold and swipe down in the middle of the screen. Wait until you see a spinning circle at the top. Release. All new updates should be refreshed and show up now.
Apple staggers updates to people over time, sometimes up to a week later, to save bandwidth on their servers. This gets around that and finds your updates immediately.

Edit: Each dragon only adds the house elements to breeding combos, for example Venture dragon + Air dragon only gives fire / air combos.

Backflip was shutdown two months ago, but due to working laws in Colorado the team was given two months notice. Their last day is next week. Unless something changes, this will be the final 'new' DV event. We are hopeful that they keep on enough staff to continue to cycle existing events in the future and provide enough support that they are allowed to continue, but no one knows what will happen in 2020. This uncertainty is driving away a significant number of players which only hurts the chances of keeping the game running. I wish they would have made an announcement regarding the future of the game, but perhaps Hasbro doesn't even know yet - or perhaps they're milking one last event for revenue.

The DragonVale team are the last standing at BFS. They stuck around to wrap things up and churn out a final event for us. This will likely be the end of full events and new content.

I'm so confused by this. Some other players also said they read on Discord or Facebook that they heard all the BFS employees are still there b/c of some Colorado law. If they didn't leave 2 months ago when the news first hit why wasn't there a regular om of noms? And why are they slow in replying? So they're all going to leave at the end of Dec right after the event starts? Why even do the event if you have to leave the next week?? I'm so confused it doesn't make any sense. But I'm glad we have the event tho.
I've been at companies that did massive layoffs and kept people around for a transition period. Productivity drops drastically. Motivation is gone. People spend half their day searching for new jobs. Many get to work late and leave early. Most are doing the bare minimum to meet requirements in order to get their severance package. Others jump ship for new job opportunities, which they consider more important than the severance, so there isn't enough people to do the existing work.
My guess is that Hasbro told them they needed to finish the current event and setup a winter event before the end of year. Management is going to want their workers doing something to bring back money while they're employed. That's what they did, and no more. Om of Noms gave us the first look at repeating events that may happen in 2020 and beyond. If they go that route. But they'll need someone on staff who can manage setting up the events, and if the company is going to continue to collect payments for in game currency then they will need to also offer support for the game. Maybe Hasbro will directly take this over, or maybe DV will see a notice similar to DV World in early 2020.

I’m not sure whether I’m happy or sad that the event ends on the 12th January instead of in February as first mentioned. The longer the event, the more putting off the inevitable.
