I’ve lost track, are we expecting any more dragons during this event?
The DV update description said there were five new dragons (one for each house), and since the event concludes in five days, it doesn’t appear there’s a lot of time to squeeze in a new golden hybrid. But BEB will continue for a couple weeks after the event departs.

Could someone please remind me, is Motley an outcome in every breeding during BEB?!?
Yes, it is. That’s what’s so annoying about Motley. Even breeding two of the same dragon like Plant + Plant can result in a laughing Motley with its 13-hour breeding fail.

Apologies for the mistake, but I must have read the timer wrong because it turned out to be a Dazzling dragon. Which stinks because I already have one.
One the bright side, I have successfully managed to breed Krampus, Kringle and Woolen, three that were missing from my collection. I also purchased Saccharine with a wish and now my winter island is filling up nicely.

I hope it is, because I'm making good progress in terms of adding to my collection. I only need a few more decorations in order to obtain Avarice and Nibwhip, and the extra days will help.

Thank you so much for posting this, oomagooma! There was no knowledge and/or confirmation of the event extension on Reddit, FB, and Discord, so I relayed the info on Reddit. Hopefully, there’s an in-game notification at reset today, because the help section still says the event ends on January 12th and lots of players don’t follow DV on social media.
Two more Jolly Jubilee weeks with no new content seems lonely and barren. Sounds like the perfect time to release the dragons on backlog and finally set them free.

Interestingly, when breeding with a new house ornamental, the only ornamental dragons anyone has reported receiving are Ornamental and Dazzling (and of course ornamentals that are the parents). Has anybody bred with a house ornamental and received an ornamental fail other than Dazzling or Ornamental?
It appears, for some peculiar reason, when breeding with a house ornamental, not all ornamental dragons are outcomes, only Ornamental and Dazzling (and the obligatory parent ornamental).

The sassy palm Frond has been released and set free into the wild Vale.
Frond is levelled to 20 with an open dance card in the co-op. Lucky koala to all!
Breeding combo: plant + water
Breeding/incubation time: 14 hours
Frond’s egg looks a lot like Swamp’s. Clearly, this is an error.
Would’ve expected this to be a golden hybrid.
Update: Frond’s pedestal has been corrected to its golden hybrid status.

In the dragonarium Frond isn't in the elementals (plant and water) like a golden hybrid, despite the egg design (even fixed it looks like a golden hybrid) , it's in the "all" category with an hourglass. I wonder if that's also an error, or if the new style for golden hybrids introduced during an event is "fake limited" while the event is on, transforming to regular golden hybrid after the event ends.
Speaking of after the event ends, is there any guarantee that the game itself will continue after the event. Any official news on the "new owners will continue the game" rumor?

It’s odd to have Frond limited for a week, disappear the next week, then return as permanent the following week. But that may be what will happen. It’s also not at all helpful if you’re trying to prioritise what to breed in the Rift or Vale during BEB. There’s no need to waste precious Rift or Vale breeds on a permanent dragon if there are limited ones you’re missing and are only available for a couple more weeks.

Oddly, when I’m not linked to my park (like when I accidentally click to finish the coop cave while on the device linked to a different park), I can still breed with alderist’s dragon as well as Nogard. Alderist I guess you rule the game!
Fingers crossed that the next golden hybrid is easy to breed as well.
