You can receive a golden chest from Dragon Drop and Name That Dragon.



If you win the golden chest, you can open three gold chests. This one had all Magic.



The amount of Magic you win from these gold chests does count against your daily limit.

I rather like the 1,000 event currency limit again. I can log on a couple times a day and achieve that.

The designs of the dragons are great. I really like reading their stories. Daylily’s story is particularly cute. 😄

If you see new dragon quests pop up please post them here so we can update the first page of the thread.

Weren’t there oops pedestals before, like still out there in parks? I remember seeing posts about it ages ago. If you have one, and put it in storage, it comes out corrected. I can’t remember which ones they were though, if they still are, that is.
Anyone know for sure? Just curious 🙃

I just paid 10 gems to play two extra Dragon Drops, trying for the chest. Missed the first one, which is why I paid again lol. I got the second one, hoping for three chests of Magic. But, I got 47500 treats, 525000dc and only 34 Magic. 😕 not worth the gems, to me.

There were several pedestals that had the wrong base, like Darkling, Frostbite, and Firefly. Sumi had a plant base, then the dragon was upgraded to an epic when it gained the Surface element, and the pedestal was changed to reflect its epic-ness. If the pedestals are put in the Storage Tower, when they’re removed, they’ll have the correct base. As a result, many players won’t store them so they can retain the rare/expired versions of these pedestals.

Thanks adlerist! I have the original bases for only Darkling and Sumi. Whenever I rearrange things, I do storage all the peds to move them to a different island. My Frostbite and Firefly are corrected 😊

Are you saying none of your chests counted against your limit? I also got a chest, although mine weren’t all magic. However, my magic count is only 100 above my daily limit counter, the 100 I got during the tutorial. Are you sure your chests did not count toward your limit? If not, that seems very odd.

Are you saying none of your chests counted against your limit? I also got a chest, although mine weren’t all magic. However, my magic count is only 100 above my daily limit counter, the 100 I got during the tutorial. Are you sure your chests did not count toward your limit? If not, that seems very odd.

It is nice to hear from you again. We are actually all playing again. It started in October, when I came in to reflect a new grand baby on my family tree island. I really only intended on playing a few days while I changed a Sprout in the Fountain of Youth. However, when I came in, so did KydoLind and DoliLind. Then, when I told Wapatango, she came back also. So, we are playing for now. It has been a challenge to get back into the game and both remember what we once knew and learn new things, like the rift. Also all the new dragons are a little overwhelming. Anyway, thank you for the hello, and hello back to you. We have missed all our forum friends.

Aww, now it feels a little more like the forum I remember. It is good to see you on here again. I’m grinning now too. I know my mom already posted an answer to your questions, but I will agree that we are well, and we have missed our many forum friends. It is the friends (and the ‘enemies’...here’s looking at you GregDarcy ) more than the dragons that make this game fun.

At the moment they are not breedable. You can only buy one with magic or clone it in the coop.
Hopefully they will become permanent after the event.
(Frond and Thrasher are still not breedable)

Seems Deca is even more greedy then Backlip. Once you have reached your dayly limit you Don’t get any credit for playing the second round of mini games, nor for breeding in whatever cave or even hatching an egg. Allways same message: you have reached your dayly limit! This means you cannot go above that or must invest in buying more games or spend real money. And only two rounds of Tolzar. Deca is taking the wrong path in my opinion, there is no incentive to play.
Ah and Tolzar incomes are part of your dayly amount. I am very disappointed by this new turn.

FYI, I spent 5 gems after reaching my limit to get a guaranteed chest and got 2 chests with magic, but it didn’t add to my limit. Perhaps it only adds to your overall magic if you’re not yet at your limit?

You’re correct wapatango and dragonin, the Magic adds if you’re not at the limit and doesn’t exceed.

Thank you, wapatango and dragonin! Yesterday, the Magic was showing in the overall total and not the daily cap after completing the round of gold chests. But now I have the same amount as both of you with a 100 Magic discrepancy between the two totals. :(  That completely ruins the incentive to buy additional games. I guess it’s good they’re ironing out quirks quickly like the Aquacorn and Whirlwind pedestals, but this one is a little disappointing. Sorry about that, and thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate it!

So I wouldn’t be so fast to say it is Deca being greedy. This event has got to be a parting “present” from Hasbro. There is absolutely no way Deca had any time to throw this together. I’m thinking the only thing they have actually done is gotten the game moved to their servers, which went off without a hitch from my point of view. This event is really bare bones, only the games tent. It seems to me BFS could’ve thrown this together on the way out the door. We didn’t have any update, and Quil did say there was stuff in the pipeline in December/January. I’m also thinking the Dragons are the missing Goldens and limited from the Halloween and Christmas events, remember all the extra currency we had from those?

Of course Deca might’ve been able to put parameters around the existing event and might be being greedy. I’m just saying that we should wait six months to a year before we start blaming them for the greed mongering.

I also could be wrong with everything I’m rambling about this morning.

I’m just going to focus on the fact that there are still new Dragons and the game is still going. I don’t know what the long term focus is, or if Deca is going to employ Artists to create more Dragons. These event Dragons might be the last new ones.

Of course do keep in mind Deca did purchase this game to make money.

Quil - Thank you for the loan of your Whirlwind. I now have spread the goodness to all family members and a few friends.

Ghostly Earth worked quick for most games. Elder Earth and Dodo worked on a couple of others. Koala 🐨 everyone.

WW is a great one to try for because fails are 2 hours (sandstorm,air,earth) and the occasional 16 hour (dodo).

When collecting dc yesterday several of my habitats did not give me magic, even though they were giant and had the overflowing coin chest. II collected from 5 seasonal habitats and only got magic from 2 of them, collected from 9 rainbow ( 7 large and 2 giant) and collected magic from 3 of them. Didn’t we used to get magic from all large and giant habitats if the coin chest was overflowing? Ii don’t have Tolzar and had to do a lot of rift breeding to make the 1000. I’m emailing back and forth with Deca about tolzar.
