Same here. Collecting from habitats is hit or miss and it is taking longer to max magic. I’m no good at the games either. 😕

Usually I don't reach my maximum limit per day even though I check in often and am good at playing games (Name That Dragon is the one I choose because Dragon Drop just annoys the heck out of me, seeing as how you can drop the ball in exactly the right place and it somehow bounces into the five magic slot).

During the winter event, I was reaching maximum from habitats and not collecting anymore until reset, which was a first for me. Now it's back to the usual routine where I'm about 250 short of the daily limit.

Not sure why this is, though. The habitats still churn out magic. I'm guessing it's because I don't have a lot of habitats to collect from.

The thing that helps me, I think so anyway, is twin eggs. I never discard them even though I don’t need the dragon or ped. They just sit and wait for events. This way I keep my nursery full and just sell the extra twin eggs for magic.

Just a heads up for those still trying to breed a triple leap year (me included):

Your combo in the rift isn't going to matter so long as you don't go over 4 elements. Whether you use 3 elements and rely on the rift being an element, or use 4, you'll have the same odds as long as we're not in BeB. That's because none of the sums of any 4 elements will near the 100 percent cap. Even using golden hybrids, who add around 5 percent each to the mix, still keeps it well under 100. So pick any two hybrids with 4 elements and you'll have the exact same odds. Three percent base chance for your first, and one percent after getting one for a second.

Should you use an existing Triple Leap Year to clone? That's a tougher question. In the normal and rift caves, the odds are 5 percent to clone with one existing parent, and then add in the normal odds with all the failures. That's a resounding yes, it will be over 5 percent - if you don't mind adding in possible longer fails like in the rift.

From the social cave, the cloning chance is 1 percent with 1 parent. So your odds of breeding will be 1 percent + the normal breeding odds. I don't have the exact numbers today, but the 3 percent breeding chance will be cut back by roughly 25 percent. That means less than 1 percent breeding odds. Add in the cloning, and you're odds are a little under 2 percent from the social cave. You have higher odds just breeding two hybrids with 4 elements in social than you do trying to clone this thing with an existing triple leap (3 percent vs a little under 2)!

I didn't even work out these numbers til today, and I'd been wasting gems hurrying clones in social when that's the worst way to get it.

Thank you, wapatango and dragonin! Yesterday, the Magic was showing in the overall total and not the daily cap after completing the round of gold chests. But now I have the same amount as both of you with a 100 Magic discrepancy between the two totals.  That completely ruins the incentive to buy additional games. I guess it’s good they’re ironing out quirks quickly like the Aquacorn and Whirlwind pedestals, but this one is a little disappointing. Sorry about that, and thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate it!

This morning, I discovered that the Tolzar magics do not count towards your daily limit, but add to your total! Now, I remember when the event first started, this was not the case. The Tolzar magics added to the daily limit, but did not add to the total once you have met your limit. So for the last few days, I did not bother to open my Tolzar visions once I have maxed my daily limit (since it did not give gems after you max out like before). But this morning, I still needed some magic so I opened Tolzar to view a vision. Lo and behold, the 50 magic did not add to the max, but added to the total! Then of course, I have to look for other ways to max out, but the Tolzar magic is a surprise! I hope this is not a glitch, or that it will go back after the reset, but that they actually fixed it. I will try it again tomorrow morning (before reset and after my Colosseum) to make sure.
