I have always looked in the Social/News tab to check when dragons are due to expire. I am aware that the Market and Breeding Hints also have a count down timer. Also limited tiers during an event.
Because I am not that observant, I always assumed that all three timers were the same. This is not the case. I've checked every dragon in the News tab and the only one that has the same number of days on all timers is Azurite - 30 days. All the others differ by two days.
For example, Bouquet has hours left to run in the News tab. I would expect that Bouquet will be greyed out in the Dragonarium and no longer breedable at the next reset. BUT you can still buy it in the market and buy the breeding hint for another two days.
If the News tab is correct, Vipera will only be available to be bred for five days.
This has been going on for a while, and has been mentioned on this forum. I contacted Deca about it. Their response is that it is intentional, and although I pointed out that it is confusing for the players, they don’t plan to change it. The news feed timer runs out when the Last Call announcement goes up. So, the market tab will always have the correct time. Vipera will be here for 7 days, but in 5 days the current news feed announcement will be replaced by a Last call announcement for the remaining 2 days
Apologies, I must have missed the original post. You are right, Bouquet is now on last call, so has two days left to run.
It is confusing especially when they are not consistent. The news feed has timers for the limited event dragons, which agrees with the timer in the limited tier of the event. Azurite has the same time in all three places - when will it actually time out and become unbreedable?
It would be better if DECA only used the news feed timer for dragons that are on last call. New players or players that don't read forums must wonder what's going on at times.
Any SWAGs as to wether or not Swiftgrace & Vipera are the last Dragons of this Event?
I will take a wild guess and say that these are the last dragons of the Event. Vipera isn't even an event dragon. They could have released this earlier so that we had something to breed during the event.
I'm starting to spend my eggs and evolve different versions of the evolved dragons that I want.
I have managed to breed a rift Swiftgrace. Beautiful looking dragon, there have been some great looking dragons released recently - I even like the new monoliths.
Interesting fact about rift Swiftgrace. It earns Etherium at the same rate as an Epic dragon.

Well, some of us had plenty of things to breed for during this event.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

Bred a Swiftgrace in Runic using a Bultato & Curlyleaf, both Lvl 20. I had already used my 1 Claim to get a Mono6 to use for an Evolve. It told me I didn’t have any Claims remaining. After I had signed out of DV and returned later, it told me I had 1 Claim! I quickly used it for the Swiftgrace before it changed it’s mind. 😅 I’m wondering...how did I get another Claim? 🤔

Each cave that has been used in the event gives one claim. So you have the normal cave, the cave from double days and the caves that you freed with rune stones each giving 1 claim. You can check if you have used your claim when you go into the history of each cave. The claim button is active or not. So if you have used only the claim in cave 1 it will tell you that you have no claim left, while cave 2 will have a claim.

Wow, way to confuse a person. But you’re right, metal trait is awesome. I may have to breed more Omens to apply these traits.🤣
When you say you have unlocked all the traits, does that mean you have bred an Omen with each trait, or did you buy the traits with 10,000E?
And when you have all the traits, can you keep changing the trait of the dragon for free or does it cost E to change it?
One of my top DV goals is to unlock all the traits for all the dragons. So when I run out of new dragons to breed in the Rift, I work on traits by cloning a dragon that has a locked combo (since it can’t be a breeding fail). For example, I’ll breed Omen with Moon, and set Moon and the Rift alignment to the trait I need for Omen (and set Omen to a trait I need for some of the potential breeding fails). This way, I have a decent chance of obtaining Omen with the desired trait. I find this to be far more Etherium-effective than buying all the traits, especially since traits are unlocked for the breeding fails.
The Transfiguration Tower allows you to change traits. You don’t need to have all 10 traits to use it; whatever you’ve unlocked will be available. As crumble608 said, it doesn’t cost anything to switch traits. And of course, you can sell a traited dragon and its trait will remain available forever.

Has it ever been different ? During the last event with runic caves I sped up some breedings and the price went up. This never resetted. But it is limited to the special cave in which you speed up a breeding.
In my experience, the Runic Breeding Caves have always reset to their original price points. They’re resetting with this event too, but it’s taking much longer. Some caves are restored in five days, others more. There doesn’t appear to be any consistency. It may be the number of speed-up breeds performed determines how long a cave will take to reset, or maybe double days are affecting the reset process.
There are several players on wiki who have posted about this issue and contacted Deca. The last post regarding the caves was on 28 April. It quoted a Deca email stating they’re currently working on the issue but would like more players to submit help tickets.
For anyone interested in reading these wiki posts, here’s the link to the page. Scroll down to the Comments section and starting on 22 April, there are posts about the Runic Caves not resetting. Expand the posts to see the replies to it from other players and more Deca email responses.

I wish (it's not likely enough to be a hope) the egg we appear to be getting as gift #41 would be an extra claim (or more!) in the runic cave...I sort of decided I was going to claim twin and rifted woodvines and clairvoyants, but that takes care of all my free claims. I might have to buy some runes in my (all grown up) "baby" park (I already did in the main park).
It is not a claim. 😉 If you need more I suggest buying and using runes early enough to earn extra eggs in the cave if you need them.

I haven't had much luck breeding dragons during this event, but up until now I have been able to afford what I want with event currency. I bought Pixie, Woodvine, Violetta and Clairvoyant. I don't have enough for Swiftgrace, but I'm thinking that maybe I can select that dragon from our choice of prizes at the end.
And then surprise! I tried for Vipera and got it on my first try. So it looks like my luck is slowly starting to return. 😊 🐨🌿
EDIT: Thank you for the Vipera, adlerist ! Hope you enjoy the twin!! 🎉🎉🎆🎉🎉

We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.

Well I’ll be darned! I didn’t know that but sure glad to hear that that’s how it works...saves me E$13,000. Thank you. 😄
This Event has been a grind but barring any more new Dragons, I’ll be burnin’ again at the end. I think I can credit my strategy of using Gems in Dragon Drop to get half of the needed Decorations and then using E$ to buy the rest of the Decorations early in the Event helped tremendously. I’ll have enough E$ for Woodvine & Clairvoyant plus a lot of Peds and enough Gems to buy Vipera (if I can’t breed it) and still not be ‘busted out’ of Gems like I was on that past, similar Event. All-in-all, I’m pretty satisfied. 😁🐻😁🐻😁🐻

Just heard a great new slogan from a Wal*Mart checkout clerk. You’ve all heard the slogan “Click it or Ticket” which reminds us to fasten our seat belts right? Well, for our current situation, how ‘bout “Mask It or Casket”? 😷😷😷

Family member used Elder Fire and my Vipera and got it third try. Hope you have koala and not have to use those gems. Also since this is already showing in mystery eggs it should also be a reward log in if you are close to the rare egg.
I am missing a number of twins and rifties, mainly of the locked combo breedings and the epics. I was able to breed some of these missing ones in the RBC. Given I only have 4 claims and I have more than 4 that I want, I am wondering what the best strategy would be? Should I claim all twins of the locked combos, or the twin and the rift version of the same locked combo dragon? Or should I claim a rift epic that is difficult to breed?
Any advise/recommendation would be greatly welcome and appreciated. Thanks and Happy Breeding.

I would go for twins of all, but I am a blue fire fanatic. I am only one away from blue fire again and try to keep blue fire. 😊
If you do not care about getting all twins then rifts of dragons that you need to breed something else would be handy.

Swiftgrace (Fire) in the rift with Hidden Bolt and Light rift. 🐨🐨🐨
Interesting. I didn't think it could be bred in the Rift.
