Curious if anyone has managed to clone Woodvine or Clairvoyant? If you did, would you be so kind to post the dragon you used? I’ve been trying for Clairvoyant in co-op for about 10 times using ghostly cold. No luck so far.
The cloning percent change for a Clairvoyant in the social cave with a single Clairvoyant parent is 1%. If you attempted 10 tries, you'd have a 9.6% chance of getting one. That means 90.4% of the people would not, so you're in good company!
It takes roughly 70 attempts to have a 50-50 shot of getting one. Even after 200 tries, 13% of the players won't have one yet.
Hey Quil. Is the percentage for breeding a Clairvoyant with two Clairvoyant parents also lower than usual? I’ve been breeding mine with another level 20 Clairvoyant in the Co-op cave for what seems an inordinate length of time without success. Perhaps I used up all my good fortune by cloning mine on the first attempt!

Thanks adlerist . I knew I had seen something about it being wrong, but I couldn’t remember what. I was positive 5% couldn’t be right, but just in case, I wanted to make sure. I still haven’t cracked the shell to release the dragon into my park yet, so I wanted to make sure that I looked under every stone for the best combo.
Breed for stoneshell in the rift. Before the event I had one stoneshell (and was using tidal to try to breed with it as I didn’t know about the bug). I decided I would try in the rift because I didn’t have a rifty version and now I have 8 and a couple of eggs! The combo is quake and the purple monolith (aka monolith 3 I think). Also gives monolith 3 as a fail and Aquacorn.
There are two problems with this plan. First, I have so many missing dragons to try for that I have to cycle through the list. I have chosen to use all my rift breeding attempts for a single dragon on any given day, and then I switch to a different dragon the next day. The second problem is slightly bigger. This technique requires having a mono3 in your rift...which I didn’t until a few minutes ago. Tomorrow it will be stoneshell’s turn in the rift.

I have a question. Which mini game gives you the best chance of wining a chest?
Name that egg or dragon are the best chance as long as you are good at recognizing them. Dragon Drop and Wheel have better prizes but too random for me to hit the chest if it shows up. You can back out of the wheel or drop game and play the other one and not lose the chest as long as you do not start the play.

You must have all the Stoneshell luck. I have one Stoneshell and have been trying to breed an extra one or two in both my park and the rift. No luck yet, but plenty of Aquacorns.

Clairvoyant percentages: One parent normal or rift caves: 5% One parent social cave: 1% Two parents normal or rift caves: 30% Two parents social cave: 5%
So the percentage is up, but it's still a low 5 percent. At that rate, half the people will get it after a dozen attempts. By 50 tries, only 7-8% of the players will still be trying. By 100 attempts, 1 out of a thousand will still be missing it.

I believe monolith dragons have no cloning capability. You should have the same odds getting a Monolith 6 with Mono 6 x2 or using Mono 1 x2. Their cloning chances are all 0.

wapatango and MinyaZ I have been able to breed a Stoneshell in each on my rifts and a non-rifted in my main park. I can't send all my koala to you, as I still need most of the dragons from the event, but I would be happy to share the koala with you both. I hope you both get your Stoneshell soon. lisgie I also have gotten more than enough Aquacorn. Just think only a few weeks ago we were trying desperately to get one.

Ok, when is it guaranteed that you WILL NOT receive a duplicate Decoration from an Event Chest? I hit the Chest playing Dragon Drop (for which I paid 5 Gems). The three Chests it gave me contained Treats, D$ & a Duplicate Decoration...😖

I believe the ones you buy from the prize market, dappled tier, 1500 eggs, are guaranteed not to give duplicates.

I believe the mini-games are all weighted the same, so one won’t produce a Golden Chest more frequently than another. It’s really just a matter of finding the game you’re most comfortable with so when the Golden Chest does show up, you have the best chance of winning it.

lisgie I am happy to report that I was able to get a stoneshell in my rift very quickly today. Yay! Switching to breeding for bilby wasn’t so successful, but that’s okay. There are lots of days still left in this event.

I used to do this too, switching from dragon drop to name that egg when there’s a gold chest. But dragon drop has been so unreliable with the ball bouncing everywhere even on a good drop. It’s really frustrating and it takes so long. Now I just do name that egg or name that dragon. It’s soooo much faster and easier and it’s not frustrating at all. During these times we need less frustration and stress. I’m so thankful to have Dragonvale in my life especially right now. I hope everyone is doing well! 💕

I got Woodvine in the cooperative with Clover it was level 20. It took a bunch of tries tho and I used gems to speed up some of the breeds. Maybe the clover brought me some luck! 🍀
Every Easter, I decorate/paint DragonVale eggs as a tradition, instead of the usual pastel fare.
This year, it didn’t seem prudent to colour eggs since hoarding and stress-baking have resulted in skyrocketing prices and egg shortages for many. (Now that I think about it, there has been a sharp increase in the number of baked goods posted on social media by people who never bake or post food pics.) So, this is a photo of my DragonVale eggs from last year. From left to right: Cerberus, Aubergine, Vortex, Spirit.

Koalas visited last night and I got Clairvoyant (in coop now) using Elder Ghostly cold and they swung by again this morning and I got Woodvine using Elder Ghostly Plant. Koala all. 🐨

How did I not know that Ghostly Plant/Fire/Earth could be Elder? Was it like that from the gitgo? Had all my Ghostlies at Level 20 without even realizing I could upgrade those three. No wonder I had zero luck using them whilst breeding!
