Community is exactly what this forum is. I look forward to hearing about everyone’s ‘happenings’ every day. I’ve often thought of how cool it would be if we could all get together for a sort of reunion, maybe at a place like Branson, MO but that wouldn’t be so good for our friends outside the US, like @kiwichris. What would REALLY be best is if we could all meet Chris in New Zealand!
I think that is an awesome idea. I would love to meet Chris in New Zealand along with everyone else who can go. However, I have a feeling Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern might have a thing or two to say about that. BTW I just I love PM Ardern!
But who knows maybe in a year or two something like that could actually become a reality. The world changed in an instant, it can change again. As a matter of fact I have no doubt it will.
I imagine there will not be any more dragons this event.

I have finally managed to breed Darkmatter - after several Auroras and other long fails. Now to try for Moriante. I hope he is easier to breed.
Moriante regular and rift was easier for me. I am still working on Darkmatter rift.
Moriante isn't going to come any quicker or easier if I don't check the weather properly before rebreeding - it is cherry blossoms again.
While I appreciate Deca giving us more cherry blossom weather when Tranquil was available to breed, it has now expired. Could we please have fireflies weather for the rest of the event? Still alternate between Dawn and Dusk, there may still be people trying to breed Midday and/or Dawn but having fireflies permanent would be one less thing to remember.

My friends, I have made a new discovery. The koalas in my park are nocturnal, and they work best between the hours of three and four in the morning. Which is when I started up a late night speed breeding session in my park.
This resulted in the correct timer for Moriante. I even did the icon check and there he is, little Moriante, bred using Blue Moon and Shining.
I also noticed that Tranquil has a swimming animation if you put him in an Omnitat. So there have been lots of good things happening in my park lately. 🌿 🐨 🌿

Just let me know which dragons’s y’all be flyin’ in on, so I can have the right foods ready and the pens mucked out (ooo lovely compost to come) yeah our 2 week quarantine hotels are fillin up fast with expats who suddenly love home more than wherever else in the world they are up side is that although my 9 day West Highlands trek was cancelled 2 weeks before beginning (😫😩🥺) I just realised I could now do some of the big nz treks without all the tourists! Uhoh back to heavy pack training 🤣 tv footage tonight of kiwis loving access to our ski fields 😄 hope everyone is keeeping well 🐨🐨🐨🌻🌻🌻

Kiwichris , NZ has expats!?!? I don’t believe it! A friend of mine who worked for AT&T got transferred there for a year and didn’t want to come back! She said the only thing better than the skiing were the people! A couple years ago 2 trapshooters from NZ came to our Colorado State Trapshooting Championships. They made friends w/everyone...great guys, and great shooters too!

Twinkle is not available so you can’t breed for Starshine if you do not have it. Event Markets only give out the regular versions. Starshine is definitely an odd choice for this event. 😐 They should have made Twinkle and Dazzling available.

It is odd. I believe Deca saw the 'star' in Starshine and thought it would be a good addition due to the theme of the event, without realising Starshine is a Xmas dragon. Deca has learned a lot since acquiring DV, but this event was probably planned months ago.
It’s been interesting seeing them embark on the DV learning curve. New players take on the challenge all the time, but it’s rare to see it on the development side. They’ve done extremely well.

I asked Deca to consider turning Blossoms off and letting Fireflies glow until the event ends. Since players were only given 10 days to breed Moriante, as opposed to 14 days for the other limited event dragons, it doesn’t appear this would be giving new, Weather Station-less players too much favouritism. Also, with the event theme still overriding our weather settings on Double Days, ongoing Blossoms is annoying even for players who own the Weather Station.

When I went into DV yesterday, it looked like there was a new question in the polling plaza, so I clicked on it. There was no new question, only the results of the last question, the twilight tower. When I saw this post, I checked again, still no new question, only results. I don’t get the question on either of my devices. Has anyone else had this problem?

Try clicking the other question that says completed. I think I noticed they were backwards when I did it.
If you have left over magic and feel like it going through all that, I think Nightmare pedestal for 600 magic sells for 13,000,000 dc is the best option.

Thanks, that was it. I didn’t even think of that. I guess it just shows how burned out I am after 2 long back-to-back events. We need several weeks of just quiet DV play.

yeah 😄 due to our geographical isolation, it’s a ‘thing’ to save hard and fly for 28 hours to do our ‘OE’ world cultures education at some stage of life ( heh, kiwis can fly 😈 ) a bit like the Brit ‘gap year’, although kiwis do the OE at any stage of life then often meet their new partner or maybe fall in love w another land and it’s culture or just find some work they love...
ooops, in danger of having to get the broom out on my own post... sorry!😱

And I’ve always wanted to go to the UK, Australia & NZ...semi bucket list items. Was gonna go over to UK this summer or fall and see Eric Clapton but this virus 💩 took care of that. I missed him last time he was in US because I had to get a dental implant...each was gonna cost the same so I (selfishly) chose my health 😰. Guess I’ll just have to settle for Pure Prarie League...they’re coming to Western Colorado this September! 👍

so i started dv late so when i started suncret soiree about 10 days later. do i still get the 10 days or does it all end on the same day?
Today is the last day at 44, so you will be able to catch up a couple of days until the event ends on the 12th (correct me if I’m wrong please!). You can look at the begin of this thread for a list of the prizes for each day so you can decide if it’s worth gems to catch up. In my opinion, I don’t think it’s worth it. Hope this helps
