Am I the only one getting these fake ads again that don't give you a reward?
This time you can watch the whole thing and just get "whoops!" when it's over, no gems.
Better than being forced into the appstore, but still cheating players.

Yes, both of those are extremely annoying. However, usually if I go back in right away to watch the video, I then get the google eyed frog, so I get the reward without having to watch another video. Of course with the colosseum, that doesn’t work, you just lose your reward. Often when I start having trouble with videos, or get videos that I hate, I reset my advertising identifier. I also hate when the add messes up your screen. It is bad enough on my iPad, but on my phone the game becomes unplayable unless I close out and come back in.

I've discovered that if I'm too quick to start a video, I will freeze the app and only close/reopen will fix that. So I've learned to wait until the wand goes back and forth five times before clicking. Evidently *cough* I look pretty odd swaying back and forth in my chair along with the wand...
And if I get a dreaded portrait-mode ad that really messes up the game, I don't have to actually close the game. I just switch to another app, then go back to DV, and the game is fixed. Hopefully these ideas help others!

Got Combustion fourth try in the rift with Dawnbringer and Stygian
And then a second rifted one with Combustion and Dawnbringer at the 1,500 try and then a third one, non rifted, one at the 2000 try with the two rifted Combustions and then a fourth one at the 2500 try. Must be easy to get

Two caves one day and 2 day breeds, so not so easy for me
Funny, I had all the Dragons yesterday and was ‘breathing 🔥’ and today, with the introduction of the Combustion, I’m still ‘breathing 🔥’. 🤷🏼♂️

Looks like they forgot to add Combustion to the Celebration area in the Dragonarium. I found it only under 'All'. I was able to breed them in the rift, getting both a rift and non rift version already!

The FB Game Rep reported this earlier today, and requested Combustion be put under the Celebration and Vintage subcategories. The DV Rep said she’ll pass the info on to the DV design team. Hopefully, it’ll be corrected soon.
You’re koala lucky to have bred a regular and traited version, mine came up without a trait, so I’ll have to keep trying.

Hey, adlerist . I bred my Rift Combustion with your regular one in co-op and got the 60hr timer. Since there's no big hurry, I'm not going to speed it up with gems, but I will get to use Kairos tomorrow, so that'll take a day off of it. Anyhow, hopefully it's a twin (and not a Double Rainbow)!

I think the earning rate also makes Combustion the best dragon for Air in the colosseum for Air and on a par with Nightbloom (dark) and Quintessence (metal). adlerist would you mind confirming as you have one already? I'm basing this on the same starting rate for all these dragons and have assumed they follow the same earning pattern.

AIR: at 499DC/min, Combustion 'steamrolls' Monte (396DC/min) in the air element.
DARK: and barely squeaks by Nightbloom (496DC/min) to capture the dark element.
METAL: Combustion ties Quintessence (499DC/min) for metal.
(Combustion only lags behind Saccharine (620DC/min) for fire — not bad for a new dragon!)
All dragon earning amounts are based on level 20 with no element boosts.

In all the years of playing DragonVale, this is the most success I've ever had in an event. I was able to get all the dragons I wanted, breeding most of them so I didn't have to spend currency, and now I'm just stockpiling decorations and paradise habitats with the leftovers flowers.
I hope it goes this well during the next event. I'm having a great time over here. 😁 🐉 ❤

Used Event Flowers to buy 5 more Paradise Habitats for 1,000 each and they don’t count against your Habitat limit. I’d buy more but I don’t have any more room. They can hold 4 of any combination of Water, Air, Light & Rainbow. What a bargain!
