BagMom some of your answers made me lol. Did I make this one too hard?
Um, excuse me 🤚🏻, professor Fletch_smf, is this supposed to be an open book exam?!?
I was playing Dragonvale and didn’t take any notes and have no idea what any of the answers are 🥴. Well, maybe an idea, but probably not the right answer 😈

BagMom some of your answers made me lol. Did I make this one too hard?
That was my goal Fletch_smf! Since I've only been playing since March, I had no idea what most of that was. The interesting part is that I thought I had read about some of them in recent posts, but I couldn't pull the answers out of my head. It might not have been too hard for longer-term players. Keep it up!
So, I’ve spent the afternoon trying to get my desktop working. I’m at the point of reinstalling the OS. I hope to have the answers/scores posted before bed. Thanks for your patience.
I'll post the answers under a Spoiler Tag below. If you come across this post and haven’t done this Trivia yet, the questions can be found at dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/200722 Have a go, and then check out how you went.

5. Initially dragons were the only moving pictures in the game, with all buildings and decorations being static images. What was the first decoration to have an animation in the game?
Volcano It was added as a static decoration in September 2011, but it started erupting in March 2012.

d) Cell (U.S. term for mobile phone) + Tick (Commonly refered to as a check in the U.S.) = Celtic
9 This is the collection of islands that make up my dragon park at the moment. What number island is the arrow pointing to?
Island 22
10. During the course of the game, the design of several eggs has been changed. Name 3 of them. (3 points)
(Note: Not pedestal changes, but the changes of actual egg designs.) There are quite a few to choose from:
Bagmom wins for the funniest answers. "CarLegVale" was a classic. Along with the 3 answers for question 2, being "I have", "no earthly" & "idea". Bagmom got 2 out of 18, LynnMarie got 4 and lisgie got 5. But the clear winner, with 9 out of 18, was Crumble. Congrats to all. Gems and Treats coming to all the entrants for being such good sports. Thanks so much for playing. Next weekend will be a Halloween Trivia. I'll make it easier. I promise.

Welcome to the DragINN for this weekends Trivia, "Halloween in Dragonvale".
Below are 10 general knowledge questions, related to the Halloween events in Dragonvale. Some of the questions have multiple answers, so the total points possible is 21.
The questions are hidden under spoilers, so you can reveal them 1 at a time. Please answer a question before moving on to the next one, but if you think about things and you want to change your mind, you can go back and edit your answers before you submit them.
www.esotericfulcrum.com/blog/answers-for-dragonvale-trivia-1st-of-november-2020/ is the answer form at my blog for this weekends trivia. Click on the link and have both of these pages open in tabs at the same time. Put your forum name at the top of the answer sheet, and enter your answers as you read the questions. I am not collecting an email address or any other information about you, other than the name you use when you post at this forum. The important rules are:
Answers must come from your memory. Don't look for answers any where on the net, or in your Dragonvale game.
You are on the honour system. It's just a bit of fun.
Phonetically still counts. I won't mark you wrong if you misspell something.
Winner(s) will get some 3 lots of gems and treats from me, as long as they don't mind friending me in the game. I'll also draw another name at random from the entries to get some treats and gems from me as well. (If anyone can think of other things I could offer as prizes, let me know in this thread, or via PM.)
This trivia will run from now until approx midnight Sunday (BFS time). I will post the answers here when I get home from work Monday afternoon (here in Australia), post scores, and let you know who won. If you prefer I don't post your score publically, please let me know.
If you have any questions, just post them below. I will respond as soon as I can. Okay, let's get this started ...
{Question 2} True or False. Bram Stokers Dracula (the book), prominently features a city with a very similar name, which could be the inspiration for the wizard in Question 1?
{Question 4}This or That? Below are 4 names found in the flavour text (the descriptions) of spooky things found in Dragonvale. You need to tell me if they are the name of a place, or the name of a person.(4 points)
{Question 5}In the first Halloween Event, in 2014, the prizes were Whitbee’s Lantern, Nosferatu Pedestal, Dark Island Theme, First Nosferatu Dragon, Second Nosferatu Dragon and the Spooky Island Theme. These were awarded, in that order, as you collected candies. How many candies needed to be collected in order to collect all prizes? (I will award a point to whoever is the closest.)
{Question 8}Emojis can be used to illustrate a specific dragon. For example: = Blue Fire dragon. Name the 4 dragons represented by the following emojis: (4 points) a) - b) c) d)
{Question 9}The Halloween event is the longest running event, and most of the successive ones has a Subtitle. The current one is "The Haunted Harvest". What are 2 others? (2 points) a) b)
{Question 10}The Ghostly dragons were added during a Halloween Event, followed shortly by Ghostly Christmas dragons. The fans did not react well to their introduction, and it seems they have been abandoned. How many Ghostly dragons are there?
And that's that. I have made all the fields in the answer form required, so that you can't accidentally send it before you have typed an answer in every box. When you are happy with your answers, click "Submit".
Thanks for playing. Koala.

So, something weird. I had kept the thread open since you said you were doing a spooky trivia. I kept updating it to see the trivia, but it kept showing Bagmoms reply as the last post. I thought RL had gotten in the way and you hadn’t done one. Then you posted there were only 8 hours left in tips and tricks (which I also keep open and just refresh). I refreshed my thread and it still wasn’t there. Had to open it from the link you had in your post, then I could see it. Might be why participation was lower this week.
I’m just saying I really appreciate the effort you are putting in to make these. Thank you so much for all your work.

You’re welcome.
I moved the trivia from the impromptu contest thread into its own thread. That might have messed with things there.

Thank you. My eldest daughter had her baby shower today, because her sister was visiting. Grandchild #2 is due in December. Such a great time with so many family around.
I'll post the answers under a Spoiler Tag below. If you come across this post and haven’t done this Trivia yet, the questions can be found at dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/201260/ Have a go, and then check out how you went.
{ANSWERS for Dragonvale by the Numbers}1. Dragonvale celebrated its 9th Anniversary this past September. On what day of the month was Dragonvale launched?
The 14th of September.
2. How many dragons were available to buy or breed when the game was originally released?
There were 26 dragons available when the game first launched. Plant, Fire, Poison, Flower, Earth, Tree, Moss, Lava, Cold, Mountain, Lightning, Firefly, Crystal, Quake, Storm, Water, Seaweed, Swamp, Mud, Ice, Air, Willow, Blazing, Snow, Sonic and the only epic, Rainbow. There was no Metal element, and Plant was also an opposite dragon for Cold in the beginning.
3. How many islands were available when the game was released?
There were only 3 islands. Total. Not even the extra breeding island.
4. Put the following 4 dragons in order, from cheapest to most expensive, according to how many gems they cost to buy in the market?
Interesting that few points were earned here. Because getting one wrong had a knock on effect for the others. I don't think I'll ask a question in this way again.
5. The Century dragon was released as the 100th dragon, on February of 2013. What was the 101st dragon, that was released the very next day?
The Blizzard dragon was released the day after the Century dragon.
Bagmom wins the answers this week, with "101 is the Dalmatian dragon, obviously".
6. The ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, is represented by Pi (3.141592). And the constant e, Euler's Number (2.718281) turns up all the time in maths and physics. Where are those 2 numbers referenced in Dragonvale?
a) 3,141,592 DC is the cost of the Hibernation Cave b) 2,718,281 DC is the cost of the Storage Tower
7. A lot of import is placed on the higher earning dragons. But which dragon is the lowest earning dragon for DC (not gems or Etherium)? What is the earn rate of this dragon at Level 10, with no boosts?
a) The Metal dragon is the lowest earner. Crazy huh! b) It earns just 19 DC per minute at level 10. The Earth dragon earns 24 DC per minute.
Lisgie, does a Rifty gem dragon earn 0 DC in the Rift? 2 points for you.
8. Most breed times are shared by a lot of dragons. At the time of writing there are 45 dragons that have a 12 hour breed time. But there are a few breed times that are unique to 1 dragon. Which dragon is the only dragon that has a breed time of:
a) Frons b) Snootroot c) Leaf d) Nightshade
9. There are 3 decorations that tie for being the most expensive in the game. Name 1 of them, and how much does it cost?
a) Volcano, Rainbow Fountain or Window of Reverie (Dream decoration) b) 10,000,000 DCI think you mistyped here, Lisgie, so I'm going to give you the point.
10. Most of the dragons in Dragonvale have 2 or 4 legs. Can you name a dragon that has:
a) Hooded is a good one, and I'll accept all the swimmers, because I should have been clearer, that I mean they had no appendages. I was thinking of Air and Sandstorm b) Chitlin will work, but Mud comes to my mind.
So, it seems that this weeks trivia might have been a step backwards. I mean I thought it might be, because it was a whole bunch of numbers and stats, but I had started working on it since I had the idea of doing Trivia. Because I'm a stats and numbers kind of guy. So sorry about that.
Anyway, Bagmom got 4 out of 20. Lisgie got 6 out of 20, and Sofie takes it down for the week with 7. Gems and Treats coming to all the entrants this week for being such good sports.
Thanks so much for playing. As I mentioned above family is visiting, so it might be a weekend off. We'll see how I go.
