I don’t think it’s necessary to do another table you went through all the trouble of writing it out. Your comparison table will assume the Poison dragon and an Elder are equal. Without knowing the % an Elder has it won’t be accurate. I’ve had lots of success with Elders so a table without the % isn’t going to convince me I’m wrong and to stop using them.
It’s OK that we have different strategies to breed. It shouldn’t be aggravating or annoying because other people found different ways that work for them. It’s just part of the fun of the game. I’m not saying you’re wrong or telling people to use Elders and not Poison and other people aren’t either. We all keep saying use what you want. You provide your tables and recommend a dragon to clone with each new release and we occasionally say what we like to use. I think there’s enough room in the game and on the forum for different ideas. At least I hope so. If you’d rather I not mention Elders I won’t but that doesn’t seem like what the forum is about. Like singleimage said there’s no right or wrong or good or bad dragon. It’s ALL good and it makes the game fun to have lots of ideas.

Forum members love to hear different combos players successfully used and various breeding strategies. Please continue to let us know! We all understand one combo isn’t necessarily better than another, but there’s something reassuring about knowing a breeding pair has worked. So members will sometimes ask a successful breeder what combo they used.
And yes, there are no bad dragons. They are all good dragons. Very good dragons.

My ads are messing up again. Tolzar said oops and I lose the ad and the 100 roses. The third one that did play stretched out my game and I’m not sure if I even got the roses. 🤨.
All was running fine this past week, since the update. Either an ad played and I got the roses, or, the ad didn’t play and I was still instantly awarded roses. Before the update, I was also affected by ads not running properly with oops and freezing my screen, but I wasn’t one of the lucky to get compensated. 😕
grandpakenny , I envy you your chick-fil-a ads, even in Spanish 🤣. All I’m getting, when they actually play properly 🤨, are ads for casino slots. “Jackpot” “Mega win” 🙄 Or that garden/house game with the guy getting covered in bathroom green water, yuck! 🤢 What ever did I do to deserve these ads?!!!?!

Thanks for the info! I sent you a DM with videos and questions about how the bug is affecting your park. Looks like support provided you with a stock reply, but RED had an actual response. I’ll let them know stock replies are being use for the iOS bug again (they may be under the impression it was fixed for everyone, since 4.22.1 resolved the issue for many players).

I got CANVAS! With my ELDER EARTH! 😄 I bred Elder Earth with Canvas in the Cooperative and it showed up in my icons. It took me 3 tries started yesterday. I bred Tree, Obsidian, then Canvas. I haven’t finished the breed yet it’s really long.

I'm not sure what % you are referring to when you say that Poison and Elder are equal. And I'm not trying to say anyone is wrong. I'm just feeding the numbers into a spreadsheet. The actual chance of cloning a dragon doesn't change that much, so any dragon will give you a decent chance at it. 3.04% and 3.15% are essentially the same chance of cloning a dragon. What changes is how long each fail takes before you can try again. My tables are about minimising that time. I want to make a table comparing the Elder, because I haven't done one, and I want to know what it shows. I thought I had done one in my very first Winter Event post, but looking back, it appears I did not.

Yep. I agree with all that. People should definitely do what they want. My posts are not about arguing my point. My posts are answering people who have asked questions.
if it helps tracking the normal hybrids with over 100 percent totals, in our testing we did 576 Rainbow + Double Rainbow breeds. We received 11 normal hybrids, which was 1.91% of the total attempts. None were repeats, but with 80 or so outcomes, it's not surprising. This is where I've taken a guess that 2% of the total outcomes can always by a normal hybrid.
I'm also still not 100% sure on the cloning chances when they're not listed. For example, you're showing poison as a 10% cloning chance. We ran Poison+Mountain 378 times and got Poison 6.61%, Mountain 7.41% and most of the other normals were in the 5% range, but went from 2.12% to 6.88% (Moss). We would need 1000s of more data points to nail down the exact number, but I would lean towards something like 1-2% cloning chances with these two dragons. If it was 10%, then I'd expect to see 12-15% Poisons. It's really fascinating looking at these results and working through their algorithms. I think we should consider starting up the Odds thread again and collect more numbers. We shut it down when Backflip announced their closure.

Cloning chances change depending on where you're breeding. Cloning a Poison as one parent in your normal cave or the EBI (or the Rift) is 1%. But in the Social Breeding Cave it is 10%. Mountain is the same. This seems reflected in the results, presuming they were just breeding in their own park. The numbers I'm posting are for the CBC because that's where everyone is trying to clone the new dragons.

I would be interested to know whether they were CBC breeds, or breeding with in the dragon park. That might be making a difference. I will be going through that thread when I have a chance, but 26 pages is a lot of info to sift through. :-)

no, elders have advantage in the vale w co-op, island or cave. in rift u want long fails. but canvas & masque have set combo so we’re stuck w those dragons.

I agree also about the fails getting longer. Using Poison with Masque I just sent to the nest an Olympus, followed immediately by another 1:08:00:00, not a masque 🙃
My one and only Spritely with Moonstruck are no better, just pushed through a moonstruck only to be followed by a 1:14:26:50 time in the EBI 🤨

After working wonderfully for the first few days after updating to the latest version of DV, they seem to have stopped working altogether, at least since last night. I now get the "Ooops" warning when doing anything Tolzar related. I have contacted DECA support and am keeping a tally of what I'm missing out on. I just wanted to add my voice to the growing chorus.
On the plus side, I can speed up breeding and eggs. It doesn't play an ad as it should, but just happens instantly.

Having same with the Oops and have contacted DECA. Put question to them if they have ever considered getting rid of Tolzar and running ads another way. I don’t mind watching the ads they pay for DV but I do mind getting the Oops and not getting the roses or gems. My ad in the Colosseum doesn’t even show any longer which is 2 gems every time. I have stopped keeping track of losses it gets time consuming. The sponsor free gem shows the Oops as well. I wait 15 to 30 minutes between trying to watch ads so there should be plenty of time for the ads to reload.

Same here. I think I only got one Tolzar ad to play this morning before it disappeared and didn’t come back. The colosseum ad froze the game and I had to reload and missed the gems. I’ve only updated my second IPad and have no intention of updating my main game until they have actually fixed the problem. Have contacted Deca.
Will the increase in Aura habitats and Omnitats still be there after the event ends if I don’t do the update?
Edit: Deca’s reply - We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix.
