Do we know if all the community rewards are the regular egg of mystery?
I believe the next community prize is a Rare Egg of Mystery, but the ability to see the community prize was recently removed. So I don’t know if the prize will be changed or not. We’ll have to wait and see.

I did not suggest that Deca compensate players with a ton of roses because they'll be missing them due to an exploit being removed. I believe Deca should take responsibility for adding a game that is notorious for being able to be exploited and allowing some players a great advantage over others. There must be notes about this from Backflip. It's seems impossible that Deca wasn't aware before adding this game to the event. And if they weren't it is still their responsibility for such a huge oversight. Now a whole lot of players with fast games were able to accumulate a lot of roses, and Deca has admitted this themselves citing an increase of players using the bug as a reason they had to stop the game. I was not serious that Deca should give players with slow devices extra roses. I wish they would. But I recognize it is a logistically impossible and fairly ridiculous request. But one can dream. Personally I am glad that game is gone. I ran myself ragged trying to keep up using that hack knowing that people were getting far ahead of me in roses because my game is so slow. Now I can relax and enjoy playing normally. I just wish Deca would pay more attention. This was completely unnecessary and easily avoidable although I'm sure many players who were able to get their hands on tons of extra roses are happy that Deca mismanaged this so spectacularly.
I apologise. I thought you were upset about Match being removed, because there weren’t any complaints about Match’s exploit or the unfairness to slower devices that couldn’t take advantage of it. The complaints only started when the exploit was removed.
Deca definitely didn’t know there was an issue with Match. If they did, it would not have been included in the event. But I’m glad you’re relieved it’s been fixed, and it looks like many players also appreciate the quick fix.

I have suddenly realized the ‘list’ where i have written the traits of the dragons for the rose ring is incorrect on some of my dragons. Where is the best/easiest place to go to check my list? I find the way the wiki lists them to be confusing. I used to use the quests list but i must have made a mistake somewhere. For instance; can someone please tell me the traits for razzle & ruckus? I think I have them listed incorrectly. I have lost points recently on the rose ring due to this. Help please. Thanks 😃

You can look up a dragon in the sandbox and it’ll show their elements. But for the Rose Ring, I just use the element filters. I select a couple of the elements required, and it’ll show all the dragon I (or my friends) have available with those elements. This way you don’t need to have a list.
Thank you, adlerist ! So, the cold & lightning i added to each (becuz of the sun & moon) do not count as traits? I think i am going to do what you suggested (using the filters in the sandbox). I bet i have added other ‘inactive’ traits on my lists. Amazed that i have not lost more points on rose ring with my list since i obviously do not know which traits count & which don’t count!

I am very underwhelmed about the Community Collection of Roses gift. It is a twin Rifted Lichen. 😕 I was hoping for something I didn’t have. I know technically, this is a dragon I don’t currently have. I do have a regular, twin and rift version of Lichen. I just don’t collect Rifted twins, or their peds, since they can’t be bred and are collected only through purchasing random eggs. There are so many other dragons that I only have one of, no twin or no Rifted version, so why this Lichen?

ilovdragons as well as the sandbox, if you ever want to know what hidden elements your dragon contributes to breeding, check the Encyclopaedia Dracontine After the breeding combo it lists the hidden elements.
Another great idea! Thank you, MinyaZ ! What would we do without our great mods? You all are most appreciated!

I got a ghostly krampus and assumed everyone got an automatic unlock. Unfortunate that it's not.
Fixing the glitch might be easy if it were just about when the turn is consumed, but the game's just awful. 20 turns instead of 10 could be called a fix.
Just want to chime in on my two cents re: the Match game. I am actually kind of happy that it has been taken away, since now it puts everyone back on equal grounds. Like most of you who posted, I do not have the patience nor the time to use the hack. I only did it once a day, and still felt it too tedious, with the slow reloading, my even slower reflex, and my butter/fat fingers. 🤣
I am glad that now I don’t have to be flipping those cards anymore. Good thing I didn’t use my extra couple thousand roses to buy one of the new dragons. 😅
There's an easy fix to the match game. Instead of taking away your attempt when you pick the second tile to flip, take away the attempt when you pick the first tile. Then the second tile to flip is free. That way if you peek at one, restart the app before the second, you're still down an attempt.
I can't even do this on my park unless I want to wait a couple minutes for each try, as large parks are very slow to load even on newer devices. I don't have that level of patience. They left in the plant farming, which allowed unlimited currency, in previous events. I also didn't have the patience for that but I certainly know of players who took advantage of it and got everything early.
They also need to give 10 attempts on the match game board. Five is not enough. I'm not sure how you best balance that with the other games, although the most obvious way would be to give 10 attempts on all other games but cut the other game rewards in half.
But the attempt score should only go down if the cards don't match; if the cards match, you get another "free" chance. That can't happen if the point for the attempt is deducted with the first pick, since it isn't known whether it will be a match or not. So that "easy fix" would really reduce the interest of the game, because it wouldn't have the enticement of "no cost if the card matches."
I didn't use the exploit, closing and reloading the game over and over just seems too tedious to me, but just by writing down the cards that I turned up so I didn't forget where they were, I found it easy to get most of the pairs with the first go-round of five attempts, and very easy to complete all matches after the half-day reset, because you got five more chances, but the board stayed the same, with plenty of known unmatched cards and fewer unknowns. So by the end of the second go-round it definitely gave more currency than the reliable Guess the Egg, but not always after the first round. Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot, but I can see how the exploit was a problem.
Just give the point attempt back if they get a match.
I feel like we should have had a limited by now (says the person who has basically none of the rifted versions of the relevant dragons, but who's counting )...

The filters I was referring to are the in-game filters at the mini Colosseum (Rose Ring). It’s the easiest way to select your dragons because it eliminates the need for a list, the sandbox, DV Wiki, and the ED.
When you click on the Rose Ring to start a competition, the challenge pops up. On the bottom of My Dragons and Friends’ Dragons, there are filter buttons.
If you click on the filter buttons, you can select elements.
Choose any two elements that are required (in this case dark, air, metal, fire). I selected dark and metal for My Dragons, and air and fire for Friends’ Dragons. All the dragons that match the elements in the filter will show.
As you can see, I chose my Darcowl to challenge MinyaZ’s Sumi, because they’re both level 20 (and because it’s Sumi!). Between the two they fulfil the four required elements.
There’s a couple additional tips to help you win the maximum amount of event currency:
1. As long as all four elements are covered between the two dragons you select, you’ll meet the challenge’s requirement. So you can have one dragon with three required elements and the other with only one required element.
2. Using level 20 dragons — for both your dragon and your friend’s — will help ensure you receive the maximum amount of currency.
3. The hidden elements for epic dragons are recognised and can be used to fulfil the challenge’s required elements (to answer your question, Sun and Moon should cover cold and lightning). So if you don’t have a dragon with the correct elements to match your friend’s, use an epic that has the elements hidden, like a level 20 Rainbow dragon.

In the last event, the first limited was released after a week. I’m sure that the first limited will come soon enough.
Finally got a Canna clone through the CBC. I think That means I bested my effort in the Winter event. Anyway, a couple of days to try for one of the other permanents before the first limited arrived.
Which reminds me ... have you signed up for The Last Call competition?
With respect to the match game, it is my understanding that BFS knew about the problem, but when Daca took over they got rid of all the programmers of BSF, . That led to lacks in the knowledge of the game, resulting in bugs, like the videos inTolzar and others, something we didn’t encounter with BSF. I would assume that the codes are so complicate and intricate that a little change has big implications. But this is the price you pay when you decide that you can easily get rid of knowledgeable employees just for profit. We have seen that in so many companies over the last 20 years. Yes the good ones are gone but the new ones are left with huge lacks of knowledge. The good ones were probably more expensive but in the end it doesn’t pay as the company s reputation goes downhill.

Honestly, that’s all I’ve been doing for years now: grab my own level 20 double rainbow, grab the highest dragon available from a friend (hopefully level 20), and it pretty much always gets me the max. This is true even if the friend’s dragon has none of the required elements - a friend’s elder plant will get me the maximum amount even if plant isn’t on the required list at all.
It’s really not that picky - if you check off all the required elements yourself, all that matters from your friend is a high level.

I thought reusing the same dragon multiple times in a row decreases the chance to get max? Is that just not relevant at level 20?
My own success with using non-matching elders and a level 15 rainbow type has been very, very mixed :/

Reusing the same dragon doesn’t appear to have an effect on your outcome. Level up your Rainbow to 20, and you’ll see much improved results!

Exactly, thank you! The reason why your Double Rainbow works with your friend’s no-element dragon is because the Double Rainbow has all the elements so you’ve covered the required elements. My secondary account uses this method since it doesn’t have a lot of dragons. But for my main account, I use the filters and different dragons to keep the Rose Ring interesting and allow various dragons to be displayed at the Ring. (The key is to always use level 20 dragons, both yours and your friend’s.)

I've seen many company takeovers and staff changes over the years that did exactly as you've said, they bring in their staff, train them up, fire the old staff, or a company outsources its work and it ends up offshored by a group that has no idea how to support the existing infrastructure. I think what happened with Deca is a bit different. Backflip was not outsourcing, was not looking to have a company come in and take over their employees and work, they were just shutting down and closing up shop. Deca is a fairly unique company in that they offer to purchase games that were once popular but are no longer able to be supported by their original developers. They have their own development and support teams and they're not usually looking to bring in new staff along with the titles they purchase, they're just looking to maintain a game for a period of time while their staff gets up to speed with the code. They likely also use this time to determine if the game truly has potential to bring in new money with updates, and if so, they look to add new content.
Deca didn't fire anyone from Backflip. That was all Hasbro. Most of the employees were long gone by the time Deca offered to take the game.

Well that hack has always been there, through BFS, through Hasbro, pretty much from the inception of the match game. DECA has to be aware of it? If they weren't then they are really, really, really not paying attention. And that's not our problem as players. If you put the game in then you should commit to leaving it until the event is over. Never use it again or fix the hack in the future but you should eat your mistake and not pull it in the middle of an event. At the very least wait until reset.
Deca did try to fix Match, yesterday and today, but were unable to so they pulled the game. If you have leftover plays the other mini-games are still available. I’ve asked if they could add Magic Tap, since players prefer that game, but it may not be possible since the event is already up and running.
Backflip fixed the Match exploit by installing a daily currency cap, which included the mini-games. Deca did not want to put a daily limit on currency (which is good), and since they were not able to fix Match quickly, the game was removed.
Rats, I really, really liked Match! I didn’t even know about the exploit. Off to the whine cave I am. Maybe there’s chocolate.
Sorry Amos but that was not the case on other single days. I would have noticed it. This is new.
Gardenia has been in my park twice a day for quite a few days. If you watch the border of visitors box when the outside border is pink Gardenia is in park and the pink border disappears after you tap on her. That is how it has been in my park anyway. Collect her in the morning and they after reset each day.🌹
Yes, exactly. You have to collect early to get the second go around. She has visited my park two times every single day of the event but I get on after reset and after 12 hours later before the next reset.
