So my donation card calls for an Abraxas. The sandbox says the rift must be aligned to lightning in order to breed one. I guess I'll be waiting this one out!

Yes, you must have. With a bit of luck, they will cycle back to being easy again.

This seems to happen a lot just before or during double days — don’t know if it’s necessarily planned that way, but I’ll slow down on the boards before the weekend. The good news is, if you can clear an all epic board, you’ll receive a truckload of Roses for it during doubles.

This is very interesting reading, but I'm confused with the last calculation for breeding Murano and Giddle together. I've interpreted this to mean there is a 4.5% chance of getting either a Murano or a Giddle. But Murano isn't currently available, so surely the co-op breeding chance hasn't changed? Or is this not what you are saying?

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. When breeding with a friends Murano in the CBC you get the ability to try and clone the Murano, as well as the chance of breeding a Giddle. That is where the combined 4.5% chance of getting one of them comes from.
Giddle is a funny name for a dragon, but that's OK, as I bred one in the rift using Sand and Plant. It is now in co-op jumping in and out of being a present.

Oh no! I was dreading that! I have not encountered any yet, but I have been trying to breed the rift versions of the recommended dragons for the last few days, so had not devoted much breeding to the donation boards.

There is clearly a bug with twins. It’s always been weird, but so noticeable with twins weekend. I started up my alt accounts that family had played in the past, and went through maybe 50 breed across 5 accounts tonight with my main park. Some of them while I was logged into the main, others while not. From that entire total, 3 eggs arrived despite them all saying they were twins each time. I know in the past I would often see this happen, and I had a few tricks with closing the app, restarting, etc that would usually get me the egg. Now that isn’t even as consistent. I still get twins from friends, but from talking to others sending them I’m also missing many of those. I never miss gems, just most twins. Makes the attempts for blue fire nearly impossible over the years, as many dragons I needed just didn’t show up.

I've had that experience in previous events (didn't bother to wait, just splurged the gem stash) & boy, was I sorry. There are other ways to get dragons.
One thing, though: there must be a robot telling them which eggs are in the hatchery. I've been keeping unhatched eggs for as long as possible against the donation card demand just in case and they never come up

One of the Game Reps suggested this isn’t a bug and there’s a limit of 10 twins that can be received while a player has the game closed.

Thankfully another showed up from someone else but still I would have had my pedestal too. Thankfully I sent a Giddle to a friend and recieved a Giddle within 10 minutes of release. So are you saying this IS a bug?
We’re trying to determine if this is a bug or not on the Game Rep channel, and define what’s causing the issue. If you’re aware of some information or what could be the underlying problem, it would be really helpful so this can be passed on to Deca and they can look into it.

Managed to get a Twin Giddle from someone breeding with my Murano (who I leeched off another member earlier in the week). No luck with Bingo card as it was a Platinum, Dream and Ghostly Spirit.
PSA: if you are not receiving twins every time you breed in the Cooperative Breeding Cave, please contact Deca Games.
A couple players on FB and Discord have reported they are breeding twins at the normal rate — not every breed is a twin. This appears to be affecting specific parks and is not a bug or widespread issue. If you are experiencing this problem, please contact Deca, so they can look at your game and try to resolve it.
