This may be me being thick again, but the Eggy Hatchy tutorial says we can double points by dragging an egg over the ghostly eggs with the plus sign icon during breeding, but I tried this several times and couldn’t drag an egg at any stage of breeding. Is there a trick to egg dragging that I am missing? I couldn’t drag an egg over the treats icon either. It would have been useful to have this demonstrated during the tutorial.

u dont drag an egg over it u have to merge 2 eggs so 1 egg passes over the square w double or treat.

Oh, I see. Thanks. Misleading language in the Help section. To me, “moving the egg over” the icon equated to actually dragging the egg, not spanning the icon whilst breeding.
The DragonVale FB folks are not messing around. They have already found the lovable, fluffible Fluffles quest.

Thpbbt to the hatchy game. I have the Sandbox to tell me what I'd get for crossing X and Y, I'm not memorizing the entire blasted set of possibilities when it's just going to RNG me the least useful result anyhow.
(On a more lighthearted note, you remember the first time around we had this "fun" game and we got comped a few game tokens for it for whatever reason? I never collected them because I don't like the game and every time it cycles back in for an event I have the option to collect 'em.)

Anyone knows of the rewards for completing the levels of the long tower will be doubled on double days? If so, then it might be more worthwhile to only attempt on double days. I wished I realize this earlier; I've completed 4 stages already. Sigh..

You don't need to remember all breeding combinations. If you click on one egg, then the next one, it will give you a maximum number of points that can be obtained for that breed. If you like the points, click that egg again. If you don't like the possibilities and want to change the egg you've selected, click any other egg (not adjoining the one you've selected, or anywhere else on the board for it to become unselected.
Spellform dragons! That mean I can finally costume my Spellforms I got from Mystery Eggs! I'll put up Darcowl or Riptide in case anyone want to mooch off of it.

Aurora gives great points in Eggy Hatchy - there is something good in all dragons!
Thanks Fletch_smf. I know that you compile these early so unaware of all possible outcomes. You may need to rework Undau's breeding results. With four elements, Aurora is also a possible fail and with Cold, Light and Dark being among the elements, Quantum is also a fail. Sorry.

I know, but it doesn't tell you how likely it is to flub (one crazy rare high points result in a sea of nothings might as well not exist but it sure looks pretty on the point spread) or give you something that's not terribly useful and if you need level X of element Y suddenly Y is insanely rare and and and... Also power-ups are never in useful locations.
Basically I don't find it particularly enjoyable and the rewards don't seem worth the effort but it keeps coming back and I'm worried stuff will eventually be budgeted around more Eggy Hatchy completion than I can put up with at which point it won't just be annoying it'll be actively detrimental to my enjoyment of the game.
But enough grump for the moment! I'm still missing I think two or three Rifted versions of useful dragons for this event but woo got Rifted Armament on the second try. :-D

Edit - Sufficiently egregious case in point I'm honestly more amused than anything: first level of Advanced Balancing, just now, and literally not a single breeding involving a light element results in a light element for the egg. This is my life in this minigame, I swear.

You can only get rift dragons from breeding in the rift or thru mystery eggs, daily rewards, calendar choices and/or runic caves as long as you have the earlier requirements for these.
The breeding hint for Lunis and all other available event dragons are on the first page. I will put Lunis below.

PSA: LUNIS AND SOLIS CANNOT BE BRED OUTSIDE OF THE COOPERATIVE BREEDING CAVE
Do not try to breed Lunis and Solis in the Rift or the Vale. Currently, they can only be bred in the co-op. Deca needed to change their breeding requirements due to crashes at the RBCs. They should be restoring Lunis and Solis to their original state so they can be obtained in all locations, but it has not been done yet. I will let everyone know as soon as I receive confirmation. Thank you!

Lunis - MOON + Any Galaxy
On the first page, I put a note on Lunis and Solis indicating they can only be bred in the co-op.
ilovdragons, normally Lunis, Solis, and Rigel are the only Galaxy dragons that can be bred in the Rift. All the other Galaxy dragons cannot be bred in the Rift, so they must be obtained through mystery eggs.
