I would be fine with the constant events if they don't feel like reskins of each other. They are always just permanent 3 dragons, 5-7 limited tier dragons, and the extra ways to get event currency is usually "Eggy Hatchy, Donations, or nothing at all." Barely any variety. Like at all.
Why not just bring back the mini events like Double Etherium, Off to the Races and Shimmering Solstice, etc?
Also, I believe my luck finally burned out and sizzled like a flame in the rain.
The Game Reps have been requesting mini events, including the Shimmering Solstice, for over a year, since May 2020.
So far, there’s no word from Deca on whether this is something they’ll consider. It will be a new concept for them, so it’ll take a while to either adopt a previous mini event or develop a new one.
Your luck has a couple days to recharge and rise once again.
I hope so on either. Especailly about my luck reigniting on time. Because traited Victory really didn't want to show up all the sudden. And I failed to get traited Enfis.
I would love to see mini events rise again.
BTW, I spent all the remaining event currency on Large Treasure even before the event ended because wait time, more Paradise Habitats, (have 51 now) a Second Chormacorn, and a Tidal Pedestal that I didn't know it would sell for squat. Oops. but it was mandatory to minimize leftover event currency.
I'm pretty fortunate that I don't have to buy a single event dragon I'm missing. Except the octopus cause I got sick of Co-oping it since RNG doesn't want to give me so many 16 hour timers.
Update: Oh hey. Ghostly Kringle decided to pop up on my island without a single Party hiccup. Not the luck I really wanted though.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm ready for another event. So long as the glass is at least half full of koalas, there shouldn't be any problems. 🐨🌿🌿🐨
Is a glass overflowing with koalas too much to ask? 🐨
I bought a couple of large treasure habitats, and as they are indeed the best conversion item, it costs 12 gems each to speed up the time so I could sell them. They really are large, lol, and I don’t have the space to put 50 or so, and I can’t store the habitats unless the construction is complete. They will cost me a 500+ gems to sell 😳
Even though it costs double at 1500 doubloons, I think the giant habitat is what I’ll be buying. Each sells for 100 mil DC and costs nothing to construct. Buying 30ish will surely get me closer to buying another island. ☺️
I've been buying the Giant Treasure habitats, which are completed immediately.I've stuck them in any spaces I can find on various islands, without destroying the look of them. I think I've fitted about six extra, and as I didn't have that many treasure dragons to fill them, I've moved dragons around so each habitat has just two or three. This way they'll earn more money as I can only collect a couple of times a day.
I've been buying and selling the same one repeatedly, but as I had over 43,000 to spend, it's taking a while.
Cecilia at the Duckpond
Same here😊 I had 49000 left and just kept at it for a while lol. Market, buy, complete, sell, yes, market, buy, complete, sell, yes, market, buy…….

PSA: I have some bad news for players. I know you’d rather have this information now, than be caught off guard, so here it goes...
Unfortunately, there will not be a break after Pirates in Paradise. A new event will start on Thursday, August 5th. I asked Deca, and they have confirmed.
I know Deca has been following the pattern of 3 consecutive events then a break for quite a while. But they decided to deviate from this with the next event. I do not know if this is due to Dragon Draw, BEB, the Expansion Extravaganza, or if it was always planned.
While we knew the back-to-back-to-back events was a general guideline and Deca could digress, it is not clear what will occur in the future. Deca has said they haven’t settled on a set schedule, so they may be experimenting.
I know this is not what members want. Your concerns over the last year have been relayed to Deca and it’s very similar to the comments from players on Facebook, Reddit, and Discord. The Game Reps have brought up this topic frequently, but since there were players who wanted no breaks in the Poll Plaza survey, and Deca feels they lose too may players during breaks, it does not look like Deca is willing to budge.
I will stress again, if you are feeling burnt out with the endless events and want a break, please take a break from DragonVale. That is the only way you’ll receive a proper break that meets your needs. Take a couple days, weeks, months, whatever works for you. The longer you play a game that’s frustrating or too taxing on your daily schedule, the faster you’ll grow to resent it. It’s not worth losing something you enjoy because you’re concerned about missing new content. Dragons will always come back to the game, but you will not come back to DragonVale if you no longer love it. So take a break. We will still be here when you return. ❤️
Thanks. Full breaks are improbable, but only buying habitats, decorations and themes has worked well enough for me.

So I do look forward to it, but my engagement will be even less. I had so many habitats to buy this event.
If you do not have the award, but finished the feedback requirements, please message me. I will be sending a friendly reminder to members who are missing dragon ratings.
There’s 24 hours left to shop at the Goods and Baubles market, complete the Rate a Dragon threads, and vote for your favourite dragons. So make the most of it!
Now, all hand hoy! There be new Vale-lubber dragons on the horizon that need some ratin’!
Due to a potential limit on the number of friends a player can have before issues arise in the game, I will only be able to add Forum members. Thank you, for your understanding, and please consider joining us!
I actually don’t mind all the events - I get in two or three times during the day and do what I can, and I focus on breeding to get as many dragons as possible. It’s quite nice having the ability to get some of the dragons that came out while I was on hiatus. I’m not too fussed about new decorations because I don’t have space for them.
Which reminds me, I need to buy all the dragons I don’t have…

Currently breeding for whatever twins I can possibly get my hands on
Is this an even stronger whine or just frustrated complaining at this point? I think my Lucky Koala that was gifted to me is defunct.
I still want that traited Victory and I never got another one since one untraited in the Rift, not even a second untraited one. All I get is a horrible Storm that evolved into a Blizzard of Sonics and when the epic pops up, it's usually a Moon that rises higher to make it stronger.
Have they left my park in a hurricane and left my rift damaged permanently last week? Or is that the pirate have dropped a curse on me?
Yeah, Deca's events are less stressful than Hasbro's, it's easy enough to breed the dragons and collect enough currency to get what you miss breeding and new decos etc, so I don't have to play every 2 hours and scrape up every possible coin or magic or whatever in order to get what I want in the event.. It's much more relaxing, and even possible to ignore a game you don't like (for me, the donation cards; I took what came as fails for the event dragons, but made no effort to breed the donation requests). So the events become more like extra treats added to regular gameplay than time-consuming challenges to try to defeat.

I think the reason why the constant events aren’t too bad for people on the forum is b/c we’ve been playing for so long it’s easy for us to get currency and we have most or all the dragons in the market so we don’t need a lot of currency. For new players or for my new parks it’s a lot harder to get currency even through collecting from habitats b/c it doesn’t have a lot of habitats and it’s missing a lot of dragons so it needs most of the things in the store. Those players could probably use a break from events. But I’m like you and I only play 1-2 times a day, my new parks are never going to grow 😅

Well, for me personally, the reason why I don't mind all these events happening so soon is because I don't try to collect every dragon, pedestal and decoration that comes with each new event. If you're trying to get everything then yes, that's going to be a lot of work. Especially if you're trying for pedestals, traited dragons, multiples of the same dragon and twins. Which is something I've never done.
Take Yarr and Trove for example. I don't like them, so I didn't buy them and I didn't try to clone them. Not trying for dragons I don't like gives me a break during the event. Those limited dragons have a one week timer. So for every dragon I don't want, there's another week for me to collect currency and try for something else. Like maybe another gemstone dragon.
We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.
Personally, my reaction was, “Oh no, not ANOTHER event so soon!” I really miss the good old days when I had a few weeks between events to enjoy my parks in colour and quietly try to breed a single new dragon. Events used to be a special treat, rather than a relentless, monochrome chore. I miss those days.

DragonMoonX , That’s a great idea. I play the events that way.
Speaking of trying to breed gemstones, it’s a bear isn’t it? Tried all month for darling Ruby in my baby park. However I got some great new ones including three of Enfis, yay!
PS. Have a good laugh with me if your spell checker changes “Enfis” to “endoscopy!” 😆
Is anyone having trouble logging in? I crash after the Deca Screen.
I didn’t crash, but it is odd that my 2 adopted parks reached level 150, while my own original stayed at level 140, when I opened the game this morning at reset. They were all at level 140 last night! 🤷♀️

If you haven’t already seen adlerist has a post under bugs, glitches and fixes that there are some major bugs. Some parks went up to 150 at reset and others will need to be leveled up by players. Also do not try to buy second storage tower it is a duplicate of what we already have will make game crash.
