1. Animation = 4
2. Size = 5
3. Price = 5
4. Theme = 3
5. Attention to detail = 3.5
6. How much do you like Zilla = 4
7. Comments Zilla is a little blurry this seems to happen a lot with the adult versions of DECA’s dragons. There are a lot of cool mythical water creatures that would have been a better fit for the pirate event. I really like the idea of Zilla but I think it would’ve been better in a different event for monsters or giant creatures that crush buildings.
1. Animation is smooth but the water puddles don't match the colors of the habitats 3 2. Size is great because he's supposed to be bigger than the other dragons 5 3. Price is good 5 4. Event theme fits because it is a water dragon 5 5. Attention to detail 5 6. Like it 4 7. The sneaking footsteps and wiggling tail make it more like a cat and don't really match the idea of Godzilla.
1. 4. It's fine, not something that makes me go "yoo I love this" but there's nothing wrong with it imo 2. 5. He is a BIG MAN 3. 5. It's cheaper than some of the other event dragons you can breed and get for "free" which is curious, but that's great and I appreciate that so I'm giving the price a 5 4. 4. He definitley relates to water, and I guess the X on his chest and the anchor relate to pirates and the sea 5. 4. The design is cool, i like the X on his chest and the fact he has an anchor on his leg, those are some cool details! (not sure what i think about the tentacles on his beard though) 6. 5. I'm saving up for him! He's cool
Animation is fine, but doesn't have anything really unique about it. I also don't like when it jumps into the puddles; it would be better if the puddle had the same color water as the habitats. 3/5
Size is a bit big; I understand that it's a Godzilla/kaiju dragon but it's still big. At least it makes sense for this one to be big. 4/5
Price is fine; exactly as expected for a non-limited new rare dragon. 5/5
It fits the theme well. It's a sea monster, and no pirate journey is complete without a sea monster. 5/5
I like this dragon's overall design, from the fins to the color to the X on it's chest. 5/5
This dragon works for what it's intended to be, but it doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Bonus points for the lore included in the description! 3/5
Overall, this dragon is nothing to write home about but is still a nice addition to the Vale (and to this event). I really don't have many problems with it. There are just other new dragons I like better.

1. Rate Zilla’s animation quality.
There are some minor issues with the animation here. I noticed that when he's swimming and he's in a smaller habitat, part of his tail gets clipped off by the sand. It's like the sand and plants cover up most of his tail when he's nearing the edge of the water. --- Giving it a score of 2.
2. Please rate Zilla’s size.
This is another dragon that's way too big. But considering the name Zilla, he's probably supposed to be a huge sea monster, so I guess it makes sense. Not too thrilled with it, though. --- Giving it a score of 3.
3. Rate Zilla’s price (9,750 Doubloons)
This is a fairly decent price. Maybe 9,500 would have been better so it isn't inching up there towards 10,000. --- Giving it a score of 4.
4. How well does Zilla fit the theme of the event?
I think he fits in very well. Can't have a pirate themed event without a gargantuan sea monster. --- Giving it a score of 5.
5. Rate the attention to detail in Zilla’s design.
He has a fair amount of detail in his design. I like the anchors that were drawn on his knees. It's a nice touch, like he's got some sailor tattoos. --- Giving it a score of 4.
6. How much do you like Zilla? (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!)
He's okay. Not my favorite in the event, but not bad either. --- Giving it a score of 3.5.

1. Animation quality - 5 2. Size - 4 (For a godzilla dragon, it should be bigger - ideally the same size as the kaiju dragon) 3. Price - 4 4. Theming - 4 (I don't associate kaijus with pirates much but I suppose it's still pretty fitting.) 5. Attention to detail - 5 6. How much I like it - 5 7. At first I didn't like Zilla because we already had a Godzilla dragon in the Kaiju dragon. But then I realized that in the Godzilla film series, Zilla was created as a reimagining of Godzilla that later became its own character, a knockoff Godzilla. So then I grew to like this dragon, especially when I paid more attention to its appearance and saw its animations. Plus, Zilla is kind of better because it isn't limited to a surface habitat. It's cool to see Deca's take on a kaiju dragon.
1. 5 2. 3 3. 3 4. 3 - None too sure about suitability, maybe just incidental. 5. Full 5 on this one. 6. 4 - I'm not too comfortable around monsters or would-be monsters. 7. Ummm, now that you mention Kaiju, I prefer him...
Zilla Please rate on a scale of 1 to 5. 1 = worst, 5 = best. 1. 3.5 (animation quality) 2. 4 Bit too big. (size) 3. 3.5 (price) 4. 3.5 (fit with event theme) 5. 4 (attention to detail design) 6. 3 (how much do you like) 7. / (opt. additional feedback)

It's another day in the Vale, and I think it's about time that I continue my Rate a Dragon journey. This time, I'd like to finish up the event debuting trio and rate the Zilla dragon!
No hesitating, let's get into it!
1. Rate Zilla's animation quality:3/5
Now I may be a little spoiled thanks to the Ahoy and Ikatako dragons' fun and quirky animations, but the Zilla dragon's animations are... just okay. They're good in actual visual quality for the most part, since the limbs aren't stiff or jittery. They have pretty fluid motion for a DragonVale dragon, and I appreciate how the Zilla dragon isn't animated like some boring, constrained action figure. However, in terms of personality, there just isn't much going on for the poor dragon. Most of its animations are generic, as if the person behind them was just following a basic checklist. "Okay, this is how it walks. This is how it breathes its elemental breath. Here's an idle animation." Not every dragon needs to have a bunch of unique or complex animations, but when compared to the other two dragons that debuted alongside it--Ahoy and Ikatako--the Zilla dragon lacks a lot of personality. I feel like there could've been at least one additional animation, like maybe it stomping around like the giant kaiju-like monster it's meant to be, or it accidentally destroying something due to its massive size.
With that in mind, let's cover the one thing going for the Zilla dragon: its diving animation. While this is a fairly well animated characteristic of the dragon, where it falls flat is its execution outside of the Dragonarium. Not only does the puddle of water have noticeably lower resolution than the dragon, but when the Zilla dragon is on display in a habitat, it dives straight into the land portion of its habitat--or occasionally, beyond the habitat borders! Now I don't expect DragonVale to be perfect, especially since dragons have been clipping out of habitats since the dawn of time, but this is just silly. This is likely a negative side effect produced by the Zilla dragon's size.
2. Please rate Zilla's size:4/5
Speaking of size, let's talk about it. The Zilla dragon is an obvious reference to kaijus like Godzilla, so naturally it's going to grow up to be pretty large. Normally I would praise Deca Games for making bigger dragons, but like the Ahoy dragon, I think the Zilla dragon suffers from being a bit too large for most habitats. It's not quite as out of place like the Ahoy dragon is among other dragons, but it takes up a lot of space. Also, as previously mentioned when rating the animation quality, the Zilla dragon tends to dive out of the habitat that it's in, which is a bit awkward. Imagine how the other dragons must feel about that!
3. Rate Zilla's price (9,750 Doubloons):3/5
How do I address this without repeating the exact same thing I've said about the Ahoy and Ikatako dragons? Well, if it makes a difference, I was a bit torn as to how I wanted to score the Zilla dragon in comparison to its peers. With my totally awesome and amazing future vision--and a bit of reading on the forum boards--I was able to figure out how to breed the Zilla dragon outside of parent breeding. I won't say what its combo is in this post, but I can see how it would be a source of justification for the Zilla dragon's price tag. However, at the end of the day, it's still a rare-class dragon. It's the most expensive out of the event debuting trio, coming in at just a few hundred doubloons away from the 10K mark. Not a very good mark for it to be close to, in my opinion. While the prices for the Pirates in Paradise dragons have been better than those of Memories of Paradise, there's still room for improvement.
4. How well does Zilla fit the theme of the event?:4/5
Wow, so this was a very tricky category for me to rate for the Zilla dragon! So as most people have previously mentioned, this dragon definitely looks like an aquatic beast, and what's a pirate adventure without a sea monster? However, the fact that this dragon is also simultaneously trying to be a Godzilla reference makes it a bit out of place. I may not be well-versed in the subject of kaijus and their lore, but I don't think pirates tend to play a huge role in those sorts of movies and other pieces of media. Additionally, the event debuting trio that the Zilla dragon is a part of also includes the Ikatako dragon. Having two dragons at once that both represent sea monsters... it doesn't quite sit well with me. I think the Ikatako dragon is a much better attempt at being a sea monster than the Zilla dragon is.
5. Rate the attention to detail in Zilla's design:5/5
All of my previous criticisms aside, I do appreciate the Zilla dragon's design! I think it's a pretty good one in terms of visual appeal. The colors mesh well, and the overall body structure of the dragon is solid. It definitely looks like an aquatic dragon that I could see in the wild parts of the Vale. I also like how there are anchor markings on the upper thigh area of the dragon. They help it fit into the pirate theme of the event. The x-mark on the chest is a nice touch as well. Not only does it represent "x marks the spot," but it makes the Zilla dragon look tough. Overall, despite the other issues I've expressed with the Zilla dragon, it gets a perfect score in this specific category.
6. How much do you like Zilla?:4/5
While I don't care for the Zilla dragon as much as I care about the Ahoy and Ikatako dragons, I still think it's a pretty great dragon all around. I know it may seem like I have a lot of not-so-positive things to say about it, but it's far from being a dragon that I dislike. There's definitely things about it that could've been improved, but they're not glaringly obvious or game-breaking. Additionally, when Pirates in Paradise began, many people--including myself--were going crazy over the fact that the Ahoy and Ikatako dragons were fan creations made official. The Zilla dragon was the only member of the event debuting trio that didn't share this title, and yet it was still able to make an impressive impact on people. I think that makes it worthy of the rating I have given it. All it would've needed in order to get a perfect score in this category was a bit of polishing up in a few areas.
7. Additional comments and feedback
There isn't too much left I have to say about the Zilla dragon, but I can't bring myself to leave this section empty! I must fill it! Let's see...
So as I mentioned before, I think the Ikatako dragon did a lot better of a job at being the inevitable sea monster dragon than the Zilla dragon. I think one of the reasons this is the case is because both dragons are a bit similar in appearance. Both dragons share similar color palettes, they have tentacle-like beards, and they're both heavily aquatic dragons. The fact that they came out at the same time doesn't really help. Perhaps the Zilla dragon could've switched places with one of the other dragons from this event? That way, it wouldn't be as jarring to have two sea monster dragons at once. Alternatively, a different set of colors may have made the Zilla dragon stand out more when standing next to the Ikatako dragon. The version we got is fine, but it's something that I think should be considered when designing dragons and planning event schedules.
My train of thought dipped a little near the end, but here is the latest edition of my long DragonVale rambles! I hope you all enjoyed what I had to share!
1.) Animation: 4 (Overall a great animation. Suits the dragon well. Only complaint is the water animation where hes like diving is just a bit weird. Especially since hes so big.)
2.) Size: 2 (Oh boy. This guy is huge. ESPECIALLY in a paradise habitat, or when hes level 20 or both. I get hes meant to be, but with that water diving animation he seems way too big.)
3.) Price: 5 (Price is perfect.)
4.) Theme Representation: 5 (I honestly think it fits the theme very well. The "monster in the depths" feel is there with this guy. In only the most piratey way.)
5.) Design Details: 5 (I think the patterns on this guy are awesome, I also love the anchor on the leg and the x on the throat, just adds a little more character.)
6.) Likeability: 5 (Definately proud showing this guy off. Its a cool dragon.)
7.) Really good dragon. I think the water diving animation could use some work though.
4/5 I like the sand diving, even if it is a little off-center.
2. Zilla’s size
4/5 It’s understandable he’s Godzilla-sized, but he has trouble fitting in some of his habitats.
3. Zilla’s price (9,750 Doubloons)
5/5
4. How well does Zilla fit the theme of the event?
3/5 When I think of pirates or paradise, Godzilla does not pop into my mind in either situation.
5. Rate the attention to detail in Zilla’s design
4/5
6. How much do you like Zilla? (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!)
4/5
7. Add any additional comments or feedback (OPTIONAL).
I love the humour behind Zilla. He isn’t the gigantic terrorising Godzilla that smashes cities. He’s the small version who can only stomp on sand castles at the beach.

Animation-3 diving into the pool of water is cool but it’s strange that the pool appears on land Size-4 I typically don’t love the huge dragons but in this case it works with its name so… Cost-4 Theme-5 fits great with the pirate theme Gotta have a sea monster to keep the pirates on their toes! Detail-4 the colors and the x on his chest are cool. Like it-4 I like this dragon especially because it looks like a dragon from the sea.
