8. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional): It seems like DECA was as exhausted as we are with all these events and ran out of steam with this dragon. 😄 Enfis is not completely done and it doesn’t really fit the event with a Rainbow element. It should just be a water dragon, maybe that’s what it was suppose to be and it was changed so it could be added to the event. Enfis only earns enough to be a hybrid not a Rainbow epic.

8. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) - needs some special animation (u have spoiled us w/your wonderful dragons, now we expect more ) and needs to make more money for the type dragon & seems like it might go better in different event, just somehow ‘off’ 🧐

1. Animation : 4 Nothing spectacular, but not all dragons need to have many different animations.
2. Rift trait : 5 Water and lightning trait look stunning
3. Size : 5 Good size
4. Price (12,750 Doubloons) : 5
5. How well does Enfis fit the theme : 3
6. Design details : 5

8. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) Enfis is a pretty dragon - too pretty for a pirate event - but it fits the Paradise theme very well. Rainbow dragons are generally among the top DC earners in DragonVale, but disappointingly, Enfis has been given the same DC as Ahoy. Enfis should have been a hybrid and included as one of the first three dragons to fit with the Paradise theme. One of the first three (Ahoy etc) would be more suitable as an Epic dragon.

My journey on the sea is coming to an end. As I pull myself back into the dock, I deliver my final Rate a Dragon post for the Pirates in Paradise event with the one dragon I haven't done yet: Enfis.
I'm going to say it now before I delve into the ratings: I do not like the Enfis dragon. Thus, my ratings are not very positive. I'm going to make sure not to go overboard with the negativity, but I just wanted to put it out there for people who like to read everything I say.
Alright, let's get to it.
1. Rate Enfis' animation quality:1/5
Hm. I'm not really that impressed, to be honest. There's not very many animations for the Enfis dragon, so there's not that much to talk about. However, what I can say is one major problem: the Enfis dragon's animations are void of personality. Sure, they do have bounce to them, so they're not entirely stiff, but there just isn't anything interesting about the Enfis dragon. It roars. It eats some invisible substance off the ground. It sways in place a little bit. What else is there really to discuss?
Also, in the official DragonVale Facebook post showcasing the Yarr and Enfis dragons, both the baby and adult form of the Enfis dragon has mysterious green dots on their bodies in specific locations. I have speculated with other people that these are the puppet joints for the dragon, which explains why the dragon doesn't move much. There aren't that many body pieces to move around and work with. I think the animation team should try to divide their dragons more to allow for more freedom of movement.
2. Rate Enfis' Rift trait placement and appearance:4/5
Alright, something positive I can say about the Enfis dragon is its Rift trait placement and appearance. Dragons with belly traits usually aren't received well due to their lack of originality and thought, but for the Enfis dragon, it makes sense. This dragon doesn't have too many places for its Rift trait to go, so a belly trait makes sense for it. I do also like how the scales on its body get some Rift treatment as well, in addition to the rainbow fins of the dragon. Basically, all of the rainbow parts get the Rift trait. However, I have to wonder what the Enfis dragon would look like if the mane and fur got the Rift trait instead of the rainbow parts. Getting rid of the colorful sections of the dragon makes it seem less like a Rainbow dragon. At the very least, what we got looks good with a fair amount of traits, so there's points for that. Overall, it's a pretty decent Rift trait.
3. Please rate Enfis' size:3/5
The size of the Enfis dragon is just okay. It's about average size for a dragon released by Deca Games, and it's not too small to see in a park. However, I think it should've been made bigger. After all, it's a playful sea serpent, and when I think of playful sea serpents, I like to imagine giant creatures playing with people on ships and occasionally forgetting how large they are in comparison to the boat. I think it would have also made the Enfis dragon better fit the general childhood wonder vibe that it seems to want to pull of.
4. Rate Enfis' price (12,750 Doubloons):3/5
Alright, so the Enfis dragon is another "any four unique elements" dragon. Therefore, its price being lower than most of the other limited dragons makes sense, and I applaud Deca Games for acknowledging this in the Enfis dragons' pricing. However, it's still rather costly given how simple it is to obtain. It isn't worth much now, and the easy nature of breeding it will only make it worth less and less overtime. Also, more importantly, the Enfis dragon was a part of a double release alongside the Yarr dragon, which is very pricey on its own. Double releases should be avoided in the future whenever possible, but if they must happen, then at the very least, make sure both dragons are cheaper so that players have a reasonable amount of time to breed and/or purchase them.
5. How well does Enfis fit the theme of the event?:1/5
Look! A sea serpent thing! ...that's all that the Enfis dragon is. This dragon has absolutely nothing to do with pirates or paradise whatsoever outside of its in-game description mentioning pirates. Even so, the pirate part of the Enfis dragon's description feels extremely forced, like Deca Games wanted to release the dragon earlier but forgot to, and thus tried to tack it onto the current event. Heck, the beginning of the description even notes how the Enfis dragon shows up on ships regardless if it's actually invited or not! Sounds a lot like how this dragon ended up being included in Pirates in Paradise... yeah, this dragon definitely should have either been released separately from the event, or saved for some other future event.
6. Rate the attention to detail in Enfis' design:3/5
So the Enfis dragon's design is... simple. That's the best way I can describe it without being unnecessarily cruel or negative. There's not too much detail, but I also feel as though there isn't enough. It's a bit too bland for a Rainbow dragon, in my opinion. There could be so much more to it, though I just can't grasp what it is. I suppose that goes to show how uninterested I am by this dragon. It's not really that bad, but it's not very good either. Also, I'm not really a fan of the Enfis dragon's face. I understand what the intention was to an extent: it's vaguely reminiscent of old children's media. However, it doesn't really hold that much appeal, at least for me. It doesn't feel like it really works well for DragonVale's style. Plus, the horns on the eyebrows are just awkward, and the egg is another recolor of an existing dragon's egg: the Spectrapod dragon's egg. I can't find many other words to express my feelings in a sophisticated manner, so I suppose I should move on.
7. How much do you like Enfis?:1/5
So... I don't absolutely hate the Enfis dragon, but I'm really not into it at all. It has no place being in the event that it's in, its animations are uninteresting, its design is too basic, and it's another "any four unique elements" dragon that's going to be the bane of many players during Bring 'Em Back in the same way the Party and Aurora dragons are. It's also a part of an unnecessary double release that takes away attention from the Yarr dragon, which should have been the solo closing act of Pirates in Paradise. It really stinks that this dragon is what I had to end the event on, because I feel like that spotlight should've been given to the Yarr dragon. I just can't find much--if anything--to really like about this dragon outside of an okay Rift trait placement. I'm pretty disappointed.
8. Additional feedback and comments
Now I don't quite remember all of the details, but from what info I've gathered, the Enfis dragon has existed in the game's code since the Suncrest Soiree event from 2020. That means this dragon has been in the Vale's warehouse for over a year, only just now getting to see the light of day. Honestly... I can tell that this dragon is very old. It has a lot of design bits--and issues--reminiscent of Deca Games' older dragons. Honestly, I'm surprised that the Enfis dragon even managed to survive not being completely scrapped due to having such a delayed release. However, I don't think the Pirates in Paradise event was the best time to release it. It should've either been held back a bit longer, redesigned in a more modern and advanced way, or completely scrapped due to old age concept wise.
Finally, I'm all done with this event's Rate a Dragon threads! I can finally rest! ...for a few days. I've heard that the next event is starting soon, and... oh man. That means I have to prepare myself for the next wave of text walls for the new dragons. I hope everyone who has read my lengthy analysis posts has enjoyed them as much as I've enjoyed writing them up! I know it wasn't really necessary for me to say so much for every dragon, but what can I say? I'm just really passionate about DragonVale and its dragons. That's why I'm DragonLover! Anyway, I'll be sure to participate in the next season of Rate a Dragon, whenever that starts! Stay tuned!

Please rate on a scale of 1 to 5. 1 = worst, 5 = best. 1. 3,5 Basic animation, but is okay. (animation quality) 2. 5 Normally I don’t like the placement of rift traits across the entire belly, but in this case being placed in thoses scales fits perfectly, especially the water trait. (rift trait placement and look) 3. 4 (size) 4. 4 (price 12750 doubloons) 5. 2 A Rainbow dragon doesn’t make sense in a Pirate theme for me. Would have given it 3 if it was a hybrid with water trait. (fit with event theme) 6. 3,5 (attention to detail design) 7. 4 (how much do you like) 8. / (opt. additional feedback)
3. Size (if you don’t own Enfis, please check a friend’s park) 5/5
4. Price (12,750 Doubloons) 4/5
5. How well does Enfis fit the theme 1/5
6. Design details 3/5
7. How much do you like Enfis (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 2/5
8. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) I think it’s pretty obvious Enfis was added at the last minute it’s egg is Spectrapod’s egg, the animation is cut, and DECA’s Facebook page doesn’t have a drawing of it or concept sketches like other dragons. It’s just a picture of the dragon from the game. It wasn’t good to add the dragon so it shouldn’t have been done.
1. Animation - 3 It's ok, nothing special. Really missed the sneaking opportunity that is in the description. Looks like the writer and animator did not communicate.
2. Rift trait - 4 Rift trait is good, only got docked because it removes all rainbow coloring that sets this dragon apart as a rainbow.
3. Size (if you don’t own Enfis, please check a friend’s park) - 1 Too big, especially if he sneaks in.
4. Price (12,750 Doubloons) - 3 low for a rainbow
5. How well does Enfis fit the theme - 4 He fits the theme well, if he was the sea monster, but reading the description he seems more like a pet or dog. It is weird (points for originality though).
6. Design details - 5 He's cute. I really like the rainbow coloring on him.
7. How much do you like Enfis (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4.5 - The back story is just weird that he sneaks aboard.
8. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) I agree he is too cute for the sea monster but he seems a little redundant with Zilla.
1. 4 - could've been a bit less bland. 2. 5 3. 4 - (I prefer babies) 4. 5 5. 3 - maybe it could've been better adjusted. But I'm partial to goody-goody dragons 6. 5 7. 3 - NOT the monster it's made out to be.
