You’ve analysed and examined every aspect of each event dragon, now let us know which Pirates in Paradise dragons swept you away.
If you’re new to the polls and voting on the Forum, here are some helpful tips:
1. You must be a member to vote. This is a restriction by ProBoards and cannot be altered by forums. An account is required to keep track of votes, and to prevent people from casting multiple votes by repeatedly logging in as a guest.
2. When you vote, it is automatically recorded. There’s no Submit button. Backing out or clicking away from the thread will not undo your vote.
3. If you accidentally vote for a dragon or warm up to a dragon later, you have until August 4th to change your vote.
4. The poll will close on August 4th at 11.00 PM MDT.
If you have any additional feedback on the event, please post it here. Many applauses and ovations for your input!

Well, this event was interesting. Kudos to DECA for trying something new, but I don't feel like the concepts behind some of the dragons are that great. Yarr is by far one of my least favorite dragons in the game, which stinks because I really like the execution but not the concept. I won't go into detail here, but I really want DECA to realize that these dragons are supposed to be wild animals. Sure, they can explain how wizards have begun to use the dragons for work/domestic purposes, but first and foremost these dragons are wild. Previous lore descriptions reference the wizards rescuing dragons from the world below, so please try to keep with the theme of "wild animals that live in a magical world with wizards" and not "animals that act like wizards." Please.
This event was not my favorite because of the reason I touched on above and in Yarr's thread. I like the new event concepts, but some of the dragons simply don't fit into the lore of the game.
I hate to leave on a negative note, so I'll post my full dragon rankings for the event below.
GREAT 1. Ahoy (what Yarr should have been like in terms of the more "human" features) 2. Alure
GOOD 3. Trove 4. Lazuli 5. Enfis 6. Ikatako
OKAY 7. Zilla
"BAD" 8. Gawk 9. Yarr

I voted for Ahoy, Gawk and Lazuli.
I like all three of them, but Ahoy is the most awesome of awesome things. Ahoy is the best, he has the most unique design/animation and I love him. ♥️💕💕♥️💕

We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.
Ikatako is getting a single vote from me. I like it that much that I can’t vote for others. Ha!
This sounds about right to me!

I've struggled with only voting for 3. Lazuli and Alure are beautiful. Enfis is really pretty - the rift traits look very nice. What pirate doesn't need a parrot? Ikatako and Zilla are perfect dragons (although Zilla is a little on the large size). Ahoy and and Yarr fit the theme (I don't mind they like to dress up). Trove does look like it's been straved while stowing away. I like all their differences. Trove is at the bottom of my list. I ended up putting them in 3 categories: pretty (Lazuli, Alure, Enfis); theme (Ahoy, Gawk, Yarr) and most dragon-like (Zilla, Ikatako) and chose 1 from each group. Lazuli, Ikatako, and Yarr (it's animation won me over - I kept trying to watch him reappear. Althought it would have been better with a peg leg).

So this event was a fairly mixed bag. The dragons I did like a lot were really cool, but the ones that I didn't love... either left me with mixed thoughts or left me disappointed. However, I think for the most part, this event's roster was pretty good. It's nice to finally see more Treasure dragons after such a long absence of them. I'm also still really stoked that we got two fan designs in the game at once! I really hope that Deca Games does that again in the future. Maybe it could become a cute little tradition to include one or two a year.
Now in terms of non-dragon prizes? Oh my God, was this event fantastic! We got to purchase the Giant Treasure habitat for practically nothing at all! It costs a lot of gems normally, but having it in the event market allowed me to get all of the Giant Treasure habitats I wanted for a huge discount! Also, at long last, the Relic and Monument of Epics were made available in an event alongside the Celestial and Meridian Habitats! What a huge field day for people trying to get these otherwise difficult to obtain buildings and habitats. Plus, the styles for the rave dragons were purchasable directly this year! This was a big step up from last year where you had to hope you got all the styles you wanted from the minigame golden chests. This combined with The Spectacular Spectacle's enhancement duplication protection makes me really hopeful for future event content being fun and accessible for all players.
Alright, so for my three chosen dragons... I've cast my vote for Ahoy, Ikatako, and Alure. Ahoy and Ikatako are really amazing dragons, not to mention how I just can't get over how they were based on fan designs. That's just so awesome! I got to witness DragonVale history! As for Alure, it may not be a part of that group, but it's a really interesting design that was executed quite well! Also, it's purple. I'm a sucker for purple dragons. How could I not vote for the purple dragon?
Anyway, I guess I'll be here on these forums for the next event. I saw the news, and oh man... this event better be good or else! It's the fourth one we've had in a row, so... yeah.
