Minor complaint/feedback - For Magic Tap the "How to Play" you get before the game starts shows bombs as red, but in-game they're orange. I reflexively clicked on a flash of orange thinking it was a chest and got blown up. >->
This was reported on the first day of the event, but it hasn’t been corrected. I’ll mention it again.
(I accidentally hit the bomb because of the colour mix-up too. 💣💥)

I think racing is a great way to pick up extra gems, dragon coin, dragon treats and rift energy...whether there’s an event going on or not. I tend to ignore the dragon quests.... so I guess it all depends on your game strategy.
Is there a list somewhere that lists the best dragons for each race??
I was using the wiki list of recommendeds, but there are multiple listed dragons. Even using those listed, I’m only getting one chest, even winning first 😕 Years ago, I was part of another forum, the Dragonvale Breeding Guide. We had a list of each best dragon for each race. But I can’t find that anywhere online. 🤔

I don't know if it has been mentionned before: I had a Quest with lightning and dark which was called "zip-zippe-di-zap" or something like that. I strongly believe that this is Zipzap :D

For many years, the DV Wiki was rarely updated, so we needed to post newly discovered quests on the event thread. But now, the wonderful Tornor and the amazing Schmacklar constantly update wiki. As a result, quests are added very quickly. So from now on, I will only post quests that have not quite made it to wiki. But they will still be added to the first page of the event thread for reference. So please check there.

Is Zipzap the dragon that's "inspired by" one of the community designs, or is it a yet-to-be-released dragon?
I don’t know. So far, all player-designed dragons have been released at the start of the event. If it’s a limited, that will be a break from the pattern. I’ll have to go through the previous contests and read all the submitted descriptions.

I think I'll go ahead and name my Zipzap dragon Ziploc when I get one. Most of my dragons have silly names anyway. Like Taco, Velcro and Pudding. I even have a pair named Creeper and Peeper, and another pair named Flitter and Flutter. So Ziploc will fit right in. 😊

This is the wiki page I was referring to. In most cases, it has multiple dragon options listed for each race. I was using a epic, if available, and even if I come in first, I still only get one chest. Same situation if no epic is listed and I choose one of the regular/hybrids. I’m so confused on what I’m doing wrong. windrider suggested that hitting each race bar “perfect” is also needed in addition to the correct dragon in order to receive two chest prizes. I’m going to work on that.

I want to use my rift cave to try for some dragons I’m missing. A lot of them require the Hidden element, which I don’t have in the Rift. Is there a way to try for a hidden dragon in the rift?

If you're asking for how to breed any dragon with a hidden element, I think that there are a few this time around that just need a specific Monolith dragon and something else; so you have any rifted Monolith dragons?
I do not. I have almost no epic rift dragons.

Disregard the link to the wiki page, I know you already have that info.
What I was trying to point out are the tips outlined in the post. The best dragon to use is an epic that has at least one of the elements required in the race. So if a race requests water, or light, or plant, you can use Bogberry. That means out of the 30 different races, you can use Bogberry for 14 of the races and win.
If you don’t have an epic with one of the correct elements, use a three-element dragon.
But whatever you do, be sure you tap the hidden boost just before the race begins. Without that boost, it’s much more difficult to win.
When you win the race, you’ll receive three gold chests. If you come in second or third, the chests will be a different colour and the rewards slightly less.
Whether you receive one or two chests is purely left to chance. The 'Perfect', 'Great', 'Good', and 'Okay' indicators during the race are telling you how close you tapped the boost line, and how much of a boost you received. It has no bearing on the number of chests you’ll receive or the contents of the chests.

Ziploc and Zipper will be the names for my two Vale Zipzaps. And Zig and Zag for the Rift versions (if Zipzap ever becomes breedable).

I hope you don't mind me saying this, but your droughts have an extremely short duration. I wish my breeding droughts cycled round as quickly as yours do. I think you have a hidden stash of koalas in your park.
Maybe they are just hibernating? IDK. It does feel so good to get three of your targeted dragons or new dragons in one day or one of each of your targeted dragon in consecutive days.
Now if I can convince Apex to join my park, any shape or kind.
I thought it was two weeks since my last success in the pirate event (Traited Alure)
And... Apex get in the rift. But it's not traited... Should I keep going and pray that it doesn't treat me like Victory did?

You could also buy egg of mystery in the rift and hope for a rifted monolith or rifted hidden. It seems like the randomness of eom seems to favor dragons that are in the event tiers, but that might just be a red car syndrome. (Red car syndrome is: you buy a red car and suddenly every car you see on the road is a red car. In actuality they are the same color distribution it always is, you just notice the red cars more.)
Well, I just got the timer for Ziploc! :D (Used WISP) Still no Burrow! Breeders, anyone?
I used Wisp to clone Zippy as well! For Burrow, Ghostly Earth elder did the trick. Even though Burrow’s cloning percentage is far lower than Zip’s, it was much easier for me to clone Burrow. Maybe it’s luck, or maybe it’s that elder magic! ✨
