I’ve never been this frustrated with the ‘Vale. I like a challenge but this is crazy. I can't seem to get a traited Fury, trying up to 10k daily. Can’t get a co op Hyperion, trying with Elder Gh’Plant. Can’t get Hyperion with the designated breeding pair in both other caves. WAY too many fails over 24 hours. No saved Wishes and only on Wish day 43. <sigh> OK, whine over. Back to the game.

Oh boy, time for a little whine of my own. This Dragon's Week has nary thrown me a bone yet considering we're less than 2 days away from it being over. Gave up trying for Misfortune and Narcis in my two regular breeding caves, instead decide to knock out Dusk and Lageto. Proceed to get nearly every longest fail in the game including my 1st Aurora Dragon (yaaayy...). Then starting yesterday morning realized that Dusk has a base 1% breed chance and will probably be purchasable in the next Spectacular Spectacle-type event for only 2000 currency, making breeding for it moot; decide to try for Nightmare and Sunstruck instead. Get back-to-back Wick fails.
My Rift luck is even worse. 4 days in a row breeding up to 1500 Etherium with lvl16 Yolkwing + Pollen hoping to get Trimera and/or Dawnbringer (my fave Olympus dragon). Absolutely zero success yet on neither. I swear by the Rift Cave having lower breeding odds for rares/epics despite what other accredited sources suggest.
All I've gotten from this event are Fireflight and Dartwing, which are two fairly ez-mode dragons to accidentally get. There goes one of my first (and hopefully very few) rants on these forums. With all of this being said, I am ready for DECA to bring on Spring!

Is it better to clone for Hyperion in Co-op, like with cactus or an elder, or is it better to put my Narcis with a friends Fury?
At the moment, I only have one Fury, so I’m parent breeding with my Narcis in co-op. The posted odds of the parents are .5% better than to clone, but I’m seeing a lot of cloning success! 🎉
It’s slight better to use the breeding combo. But as you said, it is only a .5% difference.
I just cloned Hyperion with Ghostly Plant elder in my secondary park. So I join the praise for elders with MinyaZ and samiam.
My park only had one Fury too. I was breeding for Hyperion with Fury + Narcis at the Epic Island and cloning for Hyperion in the co-op with Ghostly Plant elder. Might as well have two caves going for Hyperion.
There’s a lot of luck involved in breeding or cloning Hyperion because the percentages are so low and there’s so many long breeding fails.
Oh yes 🤦🏻♀️ So many loooonnnng fails! That’s it for me as well, just able to breed in two places.
I am still trying to get a Fury in the rift, once that’s successful I feel my odds will greatly increase. 👍🏻

You're not the only one, DragonMoonX, I've been on my Spring Break for my college this week and was thinking the Spring event would start this Thursday so I could have plenty of time to grind for event currency. However, this is nice to have another Dragon's Week, and I know a lot of people have issues with back-to-back themed events, so I'll just go with it.
I’m also looking forward to the next event. I was lucky enough to fill in my last three missing Vale dragons that are available this Dragon Week (howdy to Omen, Fury, and Carnival) and now I’m trying for Hyperion. It’s been hard, but I’m using DV to work on my patience. Right now I’m still working on my first Dragonarium fire and then I’ll proceed on with the additional fire colors. If it gets too crazy then I’ll just stick with red fire and be happy. It’s weird using a game to practice patience, but it seems to be working .
Happy koalas to everyone. May your breeding be plentiful and your Gaia nursery happy!
It's dragons like Hyperion that make me very grateful to have the Rift. With all of the massive fail times, it really feels like I would never be able to breed one in my regular caves, at least not without hugely depleting my store of gems. But with the large number of breeding attempts you can do in the Rift, it at least feels possible.
And sure enough, I did manage to get one in my Rift this morning! The added bonus is that I didn't have to wait nearly 3 days for my Rift Hyperion to hatch. I was then able to put my Hyperion up in my Co-Op cave with somebody else's and got the magical 2:22:00:00 timer on the first try! I'm going to do my best to wait it out and not use gems to speed it up...
🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨
Hear, hear! Long live the Rift!
Kudos on your hyper Hyper luck, Greggerman!
I am hoping that the koalas will be as nice to me. 🙂🐨 Long live the Rift!
Y’all. Today I: - bred Hyperion on my island 🎉 - bred (rifted) Fireflight 🎉 - bred Gryphus 🎉 - summoned my next Island (temporarily reducing me to seven figures of DC) And I haven’t even gotten out of bed yet! (Though I should, I have work)
YOOOO I got enough Etherium for a 15k breed and got Dartwing!!! That’s all of the available ones! Once Hyperion hatches I’ll be 698/702 (Missing Buttercup, Quintessence, Pouke, Spectrapod)
You are right in front of me NinjaKiwi. !! I’m at 688/702. If I manage to get Hyperion then I’ll be at 689! Can’t wait for the next BEB!!!

I have been lucky enough to finally breed a Hyperion!! (In Epic breeding sanctuary with Fury and Narcis both level 20). I have fed him to level 4 and like the juvenile size much better than what I've seen in friends parks. Do I feed him to level 20 and then put in fountain of youth - or do I fed to level 11 and then put in fountain of youth? This is to try to keep the juvenile size. However, the baby version where Hyperion does the bottom up is really cute too! Too bad he doesn't keep it at the next level.

I feed mine up as high as I want it to go for currency or looks purpose whatever ypu prefer and then send over. I have a few times made the mistake of sending one to be a baby and then leveling up further and you have to send it back. I have a fully grown level 20 in the coop and a level 20 twin that I sent back to be a baby on my apocalypse island if you want to see those. The juvenile stage is going to be similar to the adult just smaller. I do wish they were more creative with the juvenile stages.

According to the Sandbox, breeding a Fury with a Narcis will produce chances of getting a Fury .2% Narcis .2% Hyperion .2% Even though the chances are slim, they are all even, right. Then why is Narcis being such a narcissist and not letting the other two have a chance? 🤨 I’ve gotten at least 6 Narcis’ so far, two being twins! Come on now, let’s have a Fury egg, so I can breed in another cave, or even better, a Hyperion! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

Thank you Amos. I have feed him up to 20 and put him in the fountain of youth.

Using the breeding combo actually drops the % quite a bit. Open up a copy of Quil's Compendium, and put in the breeding combo, and you'll see Hyperion's chance is 0.387%. This is because all the set percentages drop when there are so many breeding chances.
Then put in Hyperion + Cactus (or anything) and you'll see Hyperion's chance is 1.5%. That's because the cloning percentage is set, no matter how many different fails there are.
So, trying to clone in the CBC is better then trying to breed in the CBC.

Has anyone bred a rifted Hyperion yet? I have been tying since it came out up to 10,000 etherium (15,000 sometimes) in my two parks and no luck so far. I have the regular and twin versions and the pedestal but the rifted one is really eluding me.
