I believe the 11th Anniversary Statue, which is 2x4, is the first and only non-square decoration in the Vale! I’m certainly glad they made it that way instead of 4x4 which would have been entirely too large.

If DECA were interested in resizing any other decorations, it could be nice. I’m looking at you, 7th Anniversary Statue. 3x3? Really? So much wasted space! Also, the Arc de Trieggs could be 2x3 instead of 3x3.

For what it’s worth, I believe there is at least one instance where DECA changed the size of a decoration. I’m pretty sure the Cherry Blossom Tree started off being 4x4 and then was changed to 3x3. Anyhow, just a thought…

It looks as though there is a mirror theme to the candy bash this year - or upside down. Da da da da da Bat Dragon!

I am also trying to breed Vaul. I enjoy the breeding aspect of the game much better than just purchasing. I do think the 11th anniversary was a bit lackluster. There could have been more fun stuff for 11 years of a game. I guess the focus was on the events again, but also they should keep in mind other mini events that are important to the players. The Halloween content is amazing though. The combos and dragon names make me have high hopes for a bunch of great dragon designs.

The Cherry Blossom Tree had a whopping 5x5 footprint. Facebook players requested a reduction, and Deca changed it to 3x3 last year. I don’t know if Deca would be willing to put forth the effort for a small amount like 3x3 to 2x3. Also, it was easy to update the Cherry Blossom Tree without making any alterations to the asset. And the tree is a Deca decoration they had recently introduced. Deca is much less likely to change Backflip’s artwork.

I'm currently limited to no wifi since it's 4 am and I don't want to wake everyone up.

Loading DV the first time is taking forever.

Staring at my sim slot at least tells me I did not damage the rubber and this cursed piece of plastic had no right to resist that much. This thing did not pop open. Half an hour of grinding, 1/5 of a mm after the next revealed... unbelieveable.

My park is a hellscape of lag. It's apparently loading apps in the background. Lots of apps. Also no wifi. I hope that's it because if the rift is still a mess on a brand new release with 8GB of RAM I really will be sending a strongly worded complaint

If your new device has 8GB of RAM (not storage memory) it should have no trouble playing DV - it should fly with no lag. You should be able to recover your previous park - the Park ID is really only useful if you need to contact Deca, it is not needed in game.

Deca have instructions on their support page on how to transfer your park to a new device. Transfer park to new device


PS I have bought Vaul for one park. There were too many dragons that I need with a trait that I also need to breed. 😊

I finally bred a vaul today,so persistence does pay off. Used two dark traited aurochs.

On the unrelated issue, when I just got a new device, I had to open a ticket with DECA to get my park to transfer to my new iPad. Dragonvale definitely is lightning fast on a device with 8gb of RAM.

I’ve installed DV on a new iPhone (many years ago), and a new iPad Pro (more recently), and my park immediately showed, because I had my game linked to Game Center.

For Android, you’ll need to save your park to FB or Google before deleting the app. Then you can retrieve your park. If you didn’t save your park, you’ll have to provide Deca with your Park ID so they can restore it.

It is the Poco X4 Pro 5G. I choose the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB memory. This is an upgrade from the 6GB RAM my old phone had.

Now that's it not downloading all of my apps in the background, the park itself is lag free. However, I barely notice any improvement from the rift lag on my old phone. This is a phone that can run genshin impact no problem, but the dragonvale rift is asking too much?

I really do consider it a myth now that 4GB is enough for the vale. 6GB is the minimum to have it running and I still felt like my park could crash with the tiniest bit of bad luck. It took me 4x times until dragonvale didn't crash while trying to load, just to connect to park to google.

On my new phone, loading is ok, rift breeding is faster and normal breeding, too. However, I still have plenty of lag. 8GB is really the minimum to have dragonvale run okay and far from good. I know fixing code is expensive, but having this tiny rift be more demanding than genshin impact is just shameful.

8GB phones are the new 4GB phones pricewise compared to when DV was released. However, the only upgrade currently is 12GB and one 12GB phone costs as much as 3-4 8GB ones put together. This is a thoughly unreasonable expensive for a lag free rift.
