Weird excitement but I figured I’d anyone would understand it’s here: I have a lot of dv friends from across the years. Many are inactive - either they are sharing the default level 4 Galaxy, or their shared dragon has been the same for literally months. Some of those are useful, I use them in the Pit of Despair etc
Two days ago, one friend was no longer sharing a level 20 Panlong. Yesterday, they sent me a gem and I returned it. I don’t know if they’re on the forum here or if I found them another way, but I’m so excited to see them active again, even if it’s just for a while!

I know exactly what you mean! Whenever I see a DV friend has returned because they send a gem gift or a twin, it makes my heart skip a beat. It’s like they’ve come back to life or returned from the abyss, and you can almost reach out and take their hand.

I have bred a rifted Heavy Metal so can use the rift breeds now for some of the Dragons' Week dragons.
I need a rift Quintessence - do I risk trying for it without including the water element - it would cut down on the number of possible fails, but am I wasting the rift breeds?
Decisions, decisions.
I was trying for Scourge in the rift with decay + misfortune; and all of a sudden out popped a quintessence! I am not sure of the odds, but was pleasantly surprised by this “fail”, which I also need…

Very interesting! Now both you and @jacquirebriggs have bred Quintessence without the water element.

I know. Unfortunately, most of my old Game Center friends has moved on and abandoned the game. I can imagine my joy whenever they suddenly returned to life.
Whew. Went back to Gift and Nether and Second try.
Now to hope traited Delight/Festive/Woolen/Eldritch will show up in these two days. Getting nothing both Gifts and Hybrids so far. *Whips out wine.
Update: Whine half-worked. Got traited Delight and Festive, but Woolen decided to pop up untraited. Eldritch eludes me unsurprisingly. I'm aware Woolen will come back at the Winter event, but I sure would love to breed it now for a jumpstart. 🍷🍷

Final Dragon Week update: My main's biggest clutch ever. Too late for Neyvee unfortunately. (And no I didn't get it in only three rift attempts.) But I get a jumpstart now!
And of course Eldritch still eludes me unsurprisingly.
Adorable animation I've sadly overlooked in 2017...
Dragons’ Week has concluded, that means this thread has been changed to DV Progress and Achievements. Let us know how you’re doing outside the event!
If you have any feedback regarding Dragons’ Week, you can still post it here over the weekend. I’ll relay the comments and info on Monday, October 11th. Thank you!

1) really cool idea, using community feedback to choose them (reminds me of when BFS solicited feedback for the first BeB then brought back ALL of them, but there was a lot less at that point) 2) more manageable than a full BeB 3) having said that, having Aurora and Party, especially as both have been available recently, was a little mean 4) not sure about a few of them being evolve dragons (guess I could’ve paid gems but if they were really available, it’d be nice to have the evolve decos available too if that makes sense) 5) it might’ve been a good opportunity to have a gem sale / package o of some sort 6) thanks Deca, let’s do this again some time!
On a personal note, I was missing I think 15 of the returnees, and I managed to snag 5 - Bounteous, Petunia, Krampus, Bogberry, and TLY. So I’m pretty satisfied with that though I would’ve loved a Quintessence

I specifically asked that the evolve decorations for Aubergine, Burglehoo, Glyph, and Karroot be added to the Market (or pull the dragons, since it’s useless to release them if they’re not obtainable). Before Dragons’ Week started, Deca said they added the decos. I didn’t scroll through the Market. Were they not available?

I did not see them BUT I am missing a lot of decos so I may well have missed them! Did anyone else see them?

I only just got around to updating my spreadsheet of what twins and rifts I need. Totally missed Dragons Week, was too busy with Heavy Metal and Bingo cards. Did try for a shield in the rift, but I don’t know if that was Dragons week or event. I don’t do much in RL, but an event and Dragon Week was too much.
On another note a big sigh. My current numbers are that I need 100 twins and 82 rifts. I was making progress once……
I loved the idea of a mini BEB and I hope that Deca are going to have them regularly. It is nice only have a ‘few’ dragons to breed rather than having every dragon available, which becomes overwhelming.
For future Mini BEB’s, could it please be run outside an event so that players aren’t trying to breed event dragons and dragons that they have missed out on at the same time. If they need to be running at the same time give us another breeding cave for the duration of the Mini BEB. An available Runic Cave would work perfectly.
If Mini BEB’s are going to be a regular happening, there needs to be some kind of structure to the dragons that are released. This first Mini BEB was a very hodge podge array of dragons with dragons selected from all over the Dragonarium.
Make sure that every dragon is released at least once in a mini BEB during the year. (Poor Spooky Thicket can't even get to be released during his Halloween event for the second year running)
If a dragon being released has a locked breeding combo make sure both parent dragons are also available to be bred. ie if Entwined is released, make sure that both Love and Sweetheart are also available to be bred.
Please, please, please allow us to breed the non-available event dragons within a reasonable time frame – no more than six months after their first release.
If evolve dragons are to be available, make it possible for players to obtain the decorations needed to evolve them.

I’ve received confirmation from the Discord rep that the evolve decorations for Aubergine, Burglehoo, and Glyph were in the Market for 50 gems each. He wasn’t sure about Karroot.
Karroot’s only decoration is the Meta-carotene planter, and I recall that costs DC, so in all likelihood it was also in the Market.
That’s a relieved, I’m very glad all the decos were available. Thanks for adding them, Deca Games!
EDIT: last year, Deca changed the Om of Nom evolve decorations to permanent. So that confirms Karroot’s Meta-carotene planter was in the Market.

Speaking of which. Are the Hidden/Seasonal Decos are supposed to permanent on purpose?
I didn't try for any of the dragons during Dragon's Week. I already have most of them, and I've never been the sort of person who likes to collect duplicates. The one exception being Gemstone dragons. Obviously it's good to have a bunch of them, but I'm not sure where to put them right now because I've run out of space for them on my secondary gemstone island. So although I was happy to see them return, I decided to pass on them for now.
The one thing I did collect was a handful of decorations. I'll probably be summoning a new island in a couple months, so I snagged a few of the limited decorations for the next island I get.
For the record, I didn't receive any Auroras or Party dragons. I got two Motley, and once my breeding cave was clogged with a Scorn dragon. But that's about it.

Not even in the Rift? That is some serious luck! I received lots of traited Aurora and Party fails.

Yes, I just remembered this and came here to update my post. Deca changed the Om of Noms evolve decorations to permanent last year. So Karroot’s evolve planter was definitely (and is still) available.
I believe that’s what you’re referring to, but if not, let me know which decorations, and I’ll check.

Nope, not even in the Rift. But then my donation cards have been good too, with a majority of them asking for hybrids and primaries. I haven't even bred a single Dargon, so I think my koalas are working overtime. 🐨🐨🐨🐨🌿🌿🌿
