I just spent a wish on the overgrown island (i have rift plans for it when we get to Halloween) and the warning before spending my wish gave me pause, even though I still have 12 😅 but there are no trees to clear so I guess I didn't need to do it now anyway!
. 12 Wishes…. Even tho I don’t need anything, I would probably spend 10 of those today! LOL

I saw the last DECA announcement, I ‘m so glad with this water/summer/holidays new event! But…. Can somebody translate me the sentence « a new NPC » please?

NPC = Non-playable character, effectively any character in the game that isn't you. So Nogard is an NPC, so is Lumi, etc.. There will be a new wizard/witch introducing us to the next event like Glumi did with Into the Screamhouse.

I’m posting this here because it seems I’m not permitted to post on the DECA Announcements thread…
Re: The new, forthcoming Deepest Depths… I sure hope this is just another Event and not some new version of The Riff 🙏🤞🙏🤞
Apologies for the inconvenience. The Deca Announcements thread is supposed to be for their announcements only. If members post on it, the announcements become lost. Also, we don’t want the Deca Community Managers to feel like they have to keep track of the thread and answer questions.
The only time the thread is unlocked is to let players post AMA questions and to say hello to Willow, the new Deca CM.
🎃 All winners of The Spoiler Contest will have the animated ghosts on my mini-profile added to their profile for a month. G’luck! 👻

Would there be a list of all the witches and wizards of DragonVale?

Looks like dragonvale.fandom.com/wiki/DragonVale_Characters is up to date, since it has Glumi. I don't think we've had any new characters since then since it went Kaleni > Lumi > Gardenia > Blumi > Kai (at least I think it was Kai? I have to admit I don't pay attention to the event intros since they're the same every time. 😅)

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for.

Oooh, I'm like the look of the new event. I love the new pink, octopus looking dragon. He looks like he would only be found at the bottom of the ocean. 😊
Oooooo ... hoping for some new watery decorations for one of my brand new islands. Agree with jodragonvale that the underwater coaches are beautiful. i see a lot to like and am looking forward to tomorrow!!!
The new event looks like it'll have some really awesome dragons! I'm already in love with the one in the top right corner. I'm hopeing I'll complete the Dragonarium this event, cos if I do I'll definitely be going out with a bang.
***sigh*** i haven't been scuba diving since i was in my 50's but the beautiful colors of this event bring it all back ... thank you, adlerist for reminding me of some of the most incredible memories of my life. Best event ever!!!
If you’re using gems to speed up breeds during Twin Weekend, sometimes the game has difficulty keeping up, and you can lose them. Here are some tips to ensure you receive all your twins.
HOW TO ENSURE TWINS ARE DELIVERED TO YOUR MAIN PARK WHEN CO-OP BREEDING WITH A SECONDARY PARK ON TWIN WEEKEND
I did a number of Cooperative Cave breeds to test the issue of twins failing to appear in a park while breeding in the co-op with a secondary park. Since speed breeding is a large part of the problem, but is widely relied upon during Twin Weekend, I sped up all the breeds with gems in these tests. This is what I discovered...
USING ONE DEVICE
If your secondary park is on the same device as your main park, and you’re trying to breed twins for the main park — you’re in luck. There doesn’t appear to be any issues with the delivery of twins.
I sped up 26 co-op breeds in a secondary account that’s on the same device as my main park.
• After 4-6 co-op breeds, I checked my main account to ensure the twins were delivered. They were all in my Gifts.
• Remember, there is a limit of 10 twins that can be waiting since your last park visit, so don’t leave your park unchecked for too long.
• To be extra cautious, if I received the breeding time for a twin I needed, I switched to my main park to empty the queue for twins, went back to the secondary park and sped-up the breed, then returned to the main park to ensure the twin was delivered.
• From the 26 co-op breeds performed, I received all 26 twins in my main account.
USING TWO DEVICES
This method applies if you’re working with a friend to help each other breed twins, or if you’re trying to breed twins for your main park and your secondary park is on a separate device.
When I initially performed these tests in January 2021, the iOS twin push notifications were disabled, so it was extremely difficult to tell if a twin was successfully delivered to your park. Deca Games has restored the twin notification (thank you Deca!) so I’ve updated this section.
Please note: Twin push notifications have been disabled on Android. Deca is aware of the issue and the last we heard they were working on it.
Back in January 2021, without notifications, I made an interesting discovery about the delivery of twins when two devices are used.
I sped up 33 breeds on an old Android device that has a park, which is not associated or linked to my main park (main park is on an iPad Pro).
If I kept my main park open and bred a twin on the Android, my main account would receive the in-game pop-up message for the twin about 2-3 minutes after completing the breed. After breeding about 6-8 consecutive twins, the pop-up stopped showing and twins are no longer received. Only force closing the app, then restarting the game will allow the delivery of twins to resume. Also, if I closed the main park before the twin pop-up appeared, the twin was lost. And if I continued to speed breed in the Android park before the pop-up showed, the twin was lost.
Based on my previous findings and now equipped with twin notifications, here’s my recommendations.
I. Using Two Devices to Breed Twins for Your Main Park (one person, two devices)
If you’re using a separate device to breed twins for your main park, after you breed a twin, wait until the twin push notification shows on the other device (if you’re on Android, wait a couple of minutes). Then, breed another. If you breed another before the notification shows there’s a good chance the first twin will be lost and never appear in your Gifts.
After breeding and receiving the notification for 6-7 twins, open your device so the twin queue is cleared and check to be sure they’re in your Gifts. Even though Backflip stated that you can have up to 10 twins waiting, my tests showed that when gems are used to speed up several breeds in a row, the game has a difficult time keeping track, and you may stop receiving twins sooner.
II. Breeding Twins with a Friend (two people, two devices)
Use the Twin Weekend Cooperative Requests thread to coordinate with your friend and agree on a time to start breeding. Since you won’t know when your friend received a twin push notification, wait a couple minutes between each breed. If you breed a twin before they received the push notification for the previous twin, the twin may not be delivered. When you receive the timer for the target dragon do not complete the breed. Notify your friend so they can open their game and clear the twin queue. After they have done this and closed their game, speed up the breed and inform your friend the twin was sent. If you’re not speeding up breeds with gems, notify your friend before finishing the breed so they can clear the queue.
DOES THIS MEAN I’M MISSING A LOT OF TWINS DURING TWIN WEEKEND OR OUTSIDE OF TWIN WEEKEND?
If your friends are speed breeding most or all of their co-op breeds with your dragon, rapidly and in-a-row during Twin Weekend, you’re probably missing some of the twins they bred. However, if they’re not speed breeding, it’s likely you’ll receive those twins — provided you don’t have more than 10 waiting for you between sessions — but it’s no guarantee. When Twin Weekend is not running, it’s much less likely you’ll be missing twins. The probability of twins eliminates the possibility of receiving a lot of twins in a row, so speed breeding and non-delivery is no longer an issue. But again, it’s no guarantee.
IMPORTANT: After you successfully breed a twin, especially if it’s a dragon that’s desirable or difficult to breed, always take a screenshot. If it’s not delivered, you will have evidence of the twin and a time stamp for when the dragon was bred that you can submit to customer support. Screenshots are a great habit to continue even when Twin Weekend is over.
Twin Weekend starts at 14:00 UTC on 27 July and ends on 29 July at 14:00 UTC. During the 48 hours, any dragons bred at the co-op will result in a twin. The breed must begin after 14:00 UTC on 27 July to be a twin. And as long as the breed is started before 14:00 UTC on 29 July, it will be a twin, regardless of when the breeding completes.
To help make your Twin Weekend productive, here is a list of every Galaxy dragon and limited dragon with a double cloning percentage of 20% and 15% at the Cooperative Breeding Cave (double cloning example: Ahoy + Ahoy = Ahoy). I’ve included their breeding times since many players will be using gems to speed up their breeds. The first tab lists the limited dragons with 20% double cloning. The second tab lists the limited dragons with 15%. Most evolution dragons (Aubergine, Avarice, Blotato, Burglehoo, Curlyleaf, Gulletail, Jadice, Karroot, Libretto, Lokilure, Nibwhip, Porcelain, Saccharine, Sugarplum, Trepak, Vidalia, Wrath) have a double cloning percentage of 30%. Evolution dragons with a percentage lower than 30% are listed below.
If you have one of these dragons and need a twin, or if you need a different dragon, request it on the Twin Weekend Cooperative Requests thread and provide your Friend ID so we can help you. Much luck and happy twinning!

Thanks for the lists adlerist. They are really helpful. Of course all the twins I need are all 15% and below. Bye, bye gems. 😀
Deca have advised that Quad Leap Year will be evolved into a new dragon. If you would like a twin of both, you will need to twin two Quad Leap Years. One to stay as Quad Leap Year and one to evolve.
If you have opened your game every day during the event you will be able to select a free event dragon (not a new release). This will be a twin if you don't already have a twin. If you are planning on on selecting a twin, decide now which dragon you will probably choose. As a suggestion, select one with low co-op breeding odds and a long breed time. Don't waste time during Twin Weekend trying to twin this dragon.
For those that no longer use the Race Track, using it during Twin Weekend may get you some more gems that you can use for speeding up breeds.
