I like the hourglass, but the dragon’s movement reminds me of those vintage paper dolls that are connected with metal brads at the knees, elbows, and other joints so the doll can be posed. It is surprising because we’ve seen such beautifully talented and creative Deca animation from Davinese to ZipZap. It’s like we’re now playing a totally different game.

The golden hybrids never really fit the event theme because they’re designed for their elements.

I prefer the texture and movement of StringlessWorms’ Rougevent dragon. But I really like the sandstorm / hourglass sand connection and its relevancy to time in Khamsin’s description — very creative!

Again, the magnificent loading screen image set the expectation for this dragon very high (please see my comment for Razortail).
The Rougevent dragon presented an interesting challenge with the constant motion of its dusty swirls. Khamsin didn’t quite deliver this. If part of the dragon’s 'coat' was animated more like Void or Whirlwind, it would’ve embodied the dust devil movement that Khamsin deserves.

7. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) - i like rougevent dragon a lot more. khamsin doesnt look like a dust devil. but its still one of my favorite dragons in the event!
1. Animation 4/5 The animation is too stiff so Khamsin looks even more 2D than other dragons. I like how he raises his foot to change the sand in the hourglass, but it bugs me that the sand at the bottom of the hourglass doesn’t disappear. It stays the same while the top of the hourglass fills up. That doesn’t make any sense, the hourglass is just going to be filled with sand, instead of time moving backwards.

7. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) I wish Khamsin looked more like Rougevent. The colors of Rougevent, the long horns, and the pieces of sand and dust flying off it are really interesting. It’s OK to have flatter 2D dragons but it won’t work for a dragon that’s suppose to be a sand or dust storm. I agree with what adlerist said about the recent event loading screens. Razortail and Khamsin look incredible. I know there can’t be that much detail but a little more would‘ve really help a lot and made a difference.
