Euryale is a cool monster design, but I don't think its design fits the stylistic conventions of DragonVale specifically well at all. Its proportions are humanoid and its small head/eyes make it feel less friend-shaped (except for the baby). It brings to mind Digimon or Yu-gi-oh, or something else along that line; it just feels stylistically dissonant. An additional nitpick - I'm not sure why this dragon is named Euryale, after a mythological gorgon, when it's not actually a gorgon at all? I guess the idea is that octopus tentacles are similar to snakes? But then wouldn't it make more sense for Euryale to have tentacles for hair rather than the weird transparent crest thing? Ah well.
In short: cool design, but in terms of fitting DragonVale's art style, a dissonant execution.
1. Animation: 4/5 Natural and fun. Wish his tentacles splayed more instead of being a mass of squidge. Looks more like a dress
2. Rift trait: 4/5 I quite like what you did here. My issue is actually more with the overall mass of purple tentacles. Maybe the undersides could have been rifty as well since they're mostly just white lines anyway.
3. Size: 5/5
4. Price (11,600 Doubloons): 5/5 Good price imo for a limited. Less awesome when the event currency has been nerfed.
5. Theme: 5/5 Sea Monster - check!
6. Design details: 3/5 Very well drawn creature. The baby is absolutely perfect 5/5. The adult follows Deca's recent move to small details, small head and humanoid body shape though. As classic DV, I feel like this (adult) creature misses the mark. I'm a bit confused by its giant crest (cool crest, wrong creature?). I do really love all of the other horns and the fins coming off the head like hair. The buff humanoid arms and hands aren't my cuppa. His face is really nice though! I just wish it was bigger so I could see it.
7. Breeding combo (MYLIO + IKATAKO): 3/5 I wish we had less locked combo breeds and more with maybe one dragon + element(s).
8. How much do you like Euryale: Adult 2/5 Baby 5/5 (Edit by OboeKade: Overall 3.5/5)
Comments: When I first saw the baby, I was so excited. He was super adorable and I couldn't wait to see what he turned into. But. He became another person in a cosplay outfit. Mine went directly into the FOY.

1. Animation: 2.5/5. Not a fan of the water pool. The tentacles are so detailed it's hard to see what's going on.
2. Rift trait: 5/5
3. Size (if you don’t own Euryale, please check a friend’s park): 5/5
4. Price (11,600 Doubloons): 2/5
5. How well does Euryale fit the theme: 5/5
6. Design details: 1.5/5. It looks satisfying close up, but thin lines - and lots of them - just don't work with the Dragonvale style from far away. The baby reminds me of Flight Rising and the adult is, as Schmacklar notes, absolutely a Digimon. Too much clutter, and I'm not a fan of the almost-pantsy transition between torso and tentacles.
7. How would you rate Euryale’s breeding combo (MYLIO + IKATAKO): 2.5/5. Would be better if it didn't rely on the player having gotten the right dragons like, what, last year?
8. How much do you like Euryale (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 2.5/5. It looks super satisfying as a large image, I'll give it that, and I don't even know why.
Animation: 3/5 Some of the extra details are a bit fuzzy. Trait: 5/5 Great choice of placement. Size: 3/5 A bit too small. You cannot see the dragon's details very well. Price: 1/5 I barely managed to gather enough doubloons to get this dragon within a week, especially with the decrease in payout. Another dragon like this will either need its price to be lowered or its available time extended. Thank goodness that I was able to co-op clone sea shanty, spinky and valeodon or else I wouldn't have been able to get it. Theme: 5/5 A kraken/scylla looking-type dragon. I think it fits. Design: 5/5 You put a lot of effort into it. Too bad its small size hides some of the detail. Breeding: 4/5 Fits well, though ikatako could be slighly difficult to breed. Prederence: 3/5 Though the dragon is beautiful, I don't like the tentacles for some reason. This is certainly a dragon going straight to the Fountain of Youth.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
1. 4/5 Nice, floaty animation. Not sure if the tentacle that pops up belongs to Euryale or something else (but that’s probably just me). 2. 5/5 The fire trait looks really good. Wish I’d been able to breed one in the rift but didn’t get Ikatako despite days of trying. 3. 4/5 A little big at level 20. 4. 3/5 Too expensive when currency is hard to come by. 5. 5/5 Perfect fit. 6. 4/5 On the whole a great design but something’s off. Maybe the muscular arms which are a bit incongruous. 7. 4/5 It looks like the offspring of these two (with extra muscle) but Ikatako is a difficult breed. 8. 4/5 Being slightly generous because I’m not sure with this one. I want to love it but find I keep moving it around my park for the perfect fit & haven’t found it yet!
2. Rift trait: 3/5 There could’ve been a lot more rift trait
3. Size (if you don’t own Euryale, please check a friend’s park): 5/5
4. Price (11,600 Doubloons): 4/5
5. How well does Euryale fit the theme: 5/5
6. Design details: 4/5 There’s a lot of detail in the adult, too much.
7. How would you rate Euryale’s breeding combo (MYLIO + IKATAKO): 1/5 Perfect breeding combo, EXCEPT Ikatako has not been released before so how are supposed to have a rift traited Ikatako??? It takes at least a week to get Ikatako in the rift then there’s no time to get a traited Euryale. 😡
8. How much do you like Euryale (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 4/5
Comments / feedback for Deca (optional): I like the baby a lot. The upside down umbrella that’s attached to the adult is interesting. At first I didn’t like it, but I’m warming up to it. Euryale the dragon doesn’t look anything like Euryale from mythology or what I expect Euryale would look like based on its description. I would’ve liked to have seen a more ferocious looking dragon.

6. Design details: 4.5, there is a lot of things going on
7. How would you rate Euryale’s breeding combo (MYLIO + IKATAKO): 3, the combo makes sense, but with Ikatako’s locked breeding combo, and it’s parent Tidal’s locked combo, it is a difficult, ending with some long fails.
8. How much do you like Euryale (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 4, I love the baby, it is so cute. The adult, not so much.
Comments / feedback for Deca (optional): I appreciate the design and art work of this dragon, but just not a fan of this style that makes the dragon look like a human, with moving arms and walking on it’s legs.

Euryale Dragon
1. Animation = 4.5 2. Rift Trait = 3 3. Size = 5 4. Price = 4 5. How well does Euryale fit the theme? = 4.5 6. Design Details = 2.5 7. Breeding Combo = 4, not too difficult, but not easy either 8. How much do I like Euryale = 3, it looks like a rejected One Punch Man villain with its anime-like stylization and weird human arms.
2. Rift trait - 2 What Rift trait? It’s almost invisible.
3. Size - 5
4. Price (11,600 Doubloons) - 5
5. How well does Euryale fit the theme - 5
6. Design details - 5 Love the jellyfish, crab, octopus combo.
7. Euryale’s breeding combo (MYLIO + IKATAKO) - 5
8. How much do you like Euryale - 5
Comments - A miracle of genetic engineering: an octopus, a crab, and a jellyfish all combined. Pity the poor ship’s crew that forgets to stow some dragon treats.
3. Size (if you don’t own Euryale, please check a friend’s park) 4
4. Price (11,600 Doubloons) 4
5. How well does Euryale fit the theme 5

The baby is wonderful but the adult looks really weird. It would’ve been great if Euryale was an octopus but instead it looks like a crab person.
We never had a chance to breed Ikatako. This is the first time we’ve been given that opportunity. Obviously players aren’t going to have a Rift version, so we have to spend the whole week trying to breed it and don’t have any time to breed Euryale. DECA needs to do BeB or something A LOT like it so we can breed dragons. It’s totally ruining the game when dragons can only be bred during their event.
7. How would you rate Euryale’s breeding combo (MYLIO + IKATAKO) : 3
8. How much do you like Euryale : 4
Comments / feedback for Deca : Baby Euryale is adorable with those big eyes. I like the animation of Euryale levitatating in a bubble. I would have liked to see more happening with the tentacles instead of having them ‘tucked’ under the body. And the tentacle in the puddle is strange. Nice rift traiting – not too much. I love the colouring of Euryale. The breeding combo would be perfect if both dragons had been available to breed several times prior to the event to allow newer players the chance to breed Ikatako and veteran players to get a rift version.
