Some people call it home, others call it an ice chest. And if you’re really lucky, it’s an Igluit dragon! The Igloo brings the cold winter weather and the warmth of home together. Simply rate all the Frostivale Yulebration dragons, and the Igloo will forever shelter you.
If you prefer ice bears over ice houses, you can select last year’s Polar Bear award. Please message me after you’ve completed the ratings and the ice bear will be added to your profile instead.

Animation: 4/5 The only downside is that there isn't as many animations as usual. I love the smile it gives you. Trait: 5/5 The spots give the dragon life with a trait. And, it may be one of the few dragons that would actually look good with Earth trait. Size: 4/5 Just a little bit too big. Price: 2/5 Pretty expensive. Theme: 5/5 No explanation needed. Design: 2/5 It's a lot more basic than I thought it would be. It would have been a 3, but -1 point for it looking completely different than its depiction on the loading screen-in a bad way. Combo: 2/5 As previously mentioned, I will nearly always give a 1 to any combo which requires an evolution dragon, as it is PAINFUL to get. However, I will give +1 point back as this combo is about the best fit for the dragon, even with the evolution dragon requirement. Preference: 3/5 Overall I like it. Unfortunately, like I previously mentioned before, it looks quite a bit different than expected on the loading screen, so I will have to give it -1 point for that.
Notes: Though I like the dragon smiling, the face seemed to be a hit-or-miss with most players. You could do it again, but perhaps try to make it in a way that's less unsettling to some.
Last Edit: Jan 19, 2023 16:26:57 GMT -6 by Arceus: Added note.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
2/5 The present is the only thing I like about it really. When it looks directly at the screen, that stupid face is not the same head of the dragon, hence why I originally thought it was edited on. It's a lot thinner and that creepy grin is not there originally; it looks more cunning than straight-up insane when it's facing left. I know it's meant to resemble the Grinch, but that face is unnecessarily creepy and utterly out of place.
2. How would you rate Greenge’s Rift trait placement and look (the cold trait is showing in the above video)
5/5 Literally the only good thing about the dragon.
3. Rate Greenge’s size (you may want to check how Greenge compares to other dragons in your park; if you don’t own Greenge, please check a friend’s park)
3/5
4. Rate Greenge’s price (16,300 Iceberries)
2/5 Limiteds are expensive, yes, but this dragon doesn't deserve to be so expensive. At least Kotun and Nature were well-designed, even if they should have been a little cheaper too.
5. How well does Greenge fit the theme of the event?
4/5 It actually does, and I would rate it 5/5, though as explained below it doesn't because of what was shown beforehand.
6. Rate the attention to detail in Greenge’s design
1/5 It looks nothing like the dragon in the loading screen. At all. I understand lighting and the change from 3D to 2D changes things, but it is not the same dragon. The one on the loading screen looked so cool. It was clearly a monstrous dragon from how it was roaring at poor Zumi and Jamjam, but this one is a ball of fur with an unnecessary side of creepy. You don't get so many people agreeing that it went from awesome/cool to stupid/goofy unless there's actually an argument for that being the case. I (and many others) fell in love with Everfrost immediately and was not disappointed; maybe the difference was that we only got the head with Everfrost, perhaps if we saw the whole body it would have ended up looking as different as Greenge does, but the Greenge on the loading screen was awesome and the Greenge we got is meh, if that.
7. How would you rate Greenge’s breeding combo (BURGLEHOO + YULE)
2/5 It makes sense, but using Burglehoo means we're literally using the grinch dragon to breed for the grinch dragon. We already had one, it was vaguely well designed, and this one is worse in every way despite the fact it's not an evolution dragon (apart from the fact an evolution dragon is required, which is rubbish).
8. How much do you like Greenge (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 1/5 But I wish I could rate 0. (It would make up for my infinity for Everfrost!)
Comments: I realise I've been very harsh. I probably would have disliked it less if it hadn't been hyped up to be so cool and then was just goofy. But even if it had been shown to be what it was originally, I still definitely wouldn't have liked it. I know lots of people think DECA should be a carbon copy of Backflip and make their designs cartoon-y, and I certainly don't think it would hurt to have cartoon-y dragons here and there if they were well-designed, but I'd rather they stick with what they're good at, which is designing the cool-looking dragons. Like literally all the others from this event (besides maybe Aisa which was more cartoon-y, I didn't particularly like that one either - though it was definitely miles better than Greenge).

I would like to see something similar to what DECA did to the Frons dragon and update its appearance to match the loading screen. Unlike the Frons dragon, which most everyone liked the original design, a change for Greenge would be much better.

(Just a note: I wasn't playing the game when Frons was added so am not as informed as others)
I'm pretty sure Frons was changed because they basically stole the entire design from a fan-made dragon (or something) without asking permission or anything (like, it wasn't part of a competition or anything like that).

1. Animation 3/5, pretty lively I'll admit, but I'm not a fan of the laugh animation
2. Rift trait 5/5
3. Size (if you don’t own Greenge, please check a friend’s park) 3/5
4. Price (16,300 Iceberries) 3/5
5. How well does Greenge fit the theme of the event 5/5, say the name out loud and you'll have your answer lmao
6. Design details 2/5, I'll give deca credit, this design fits into the game quite well, but I was very disappointed over what could've been
7. How would you rate Greenge’s breeding combo (BURGLEHOO + YULE) 3/5
8. How much do you like Greenge (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 2/5, see comments/feedback for in depth explanation
Comments / feedback for Deca Upon seeing this dragon in the loading screen for the first time, I was excited because 1) grinch based dragon (yes burglehoo is already based on the grinch but I personally don't mind having dragons being based on the same thing) and 2) looked very bird like and I love bird dragons. Upon release date, I was... very disappointed. I am not a fan of the facial features and how it was literally taken from the grinch. I understand that it is just 3D perspective, but oddly enough the horns change colour in game? Great concept, but the result was very underwhelming + disappointing. Not deca's best work I'm afraid

It was. The thing was, DECA said that the old design was actually a beta design, which ended up being changed once the actual design was finished.
What's also crazy is that the Kwall Dragon is also pretty much a copy of someone else's dragon, though its design was never changed. This is what it looked like:

Gastrosnaps were 100% an inspiration for Kwall and its very similar but there are obvious differences and changes to make it their own. IK there's some designs that are a lil iffy but I wouldn't say they stole this design because certain aspects and features aren't owned by anyone in particular, ESPECIALLY closed species like Gastrosnaps.

It's honestly just the colour scheme that's the same, and I guess the fact its eyes aren't open/it doesn't have eyes.
But I agree with gluttonousguzzy that we should take this to another thread if we're going to talk about this more, even though I didn't mean to start a whole conversation. This isn't related to Greenge anymore at this point so it isn't suited for this thread, and is just making it harder for the people who have to compile feedback to record everything.

Comments / feedback for Deca: 5 I thoroughly enjoy the playfulness and whimsy of this dragon. I love having lighthearted beasties added to the Vale. They add a joyfulness that is imaginative, and they help balance out the more serious and intense dragons. Love, love love this critter!
