lisgie you have paid Rysaroni for last - do you also pay her for being number 12 as you're paying evens? (I realise that you may have run out of gems today)

Rysaroni I assume that you exchange gems between your two parks, so baby park has paid main park for winning? 😉
If you have Rift Unrifted or Ninja as a pledge, it would help me if when you pay a gem you state it is gem 1 of 2 (or similar). Most pledges are only for 1 gem, so I forget that these pledges are for 2 gems and I mark it complete on the table when only half has been paid. (I will colour in half the players name that you are supposed to give 2 gems to, so that you know that there is still one outstanding.)

I don’t normally pay evens and last, but normally last doesn’t actually actually get the dragon. I think I will pay her evens and I think I also owe her for pixie Tuesday. So it will take me two more days to finish.

Giddle 12th is for the 12th competitor to breed the dragon. I apply it on top of my other pledges of Last, Sympathy and Rulilind. In this case, Rysaroni is last and has bred Lovesick, so I will pay both Giddle 12th and Last. If Rysaroni hadn't bred the dragon, I would only pay Last.
You're right about running out of gems. I will pay Giddle 12th at reset.

I've thought some more about this and I'm wondering if I have got the rules wrong. I've think I've been too busy paying attention to which pledges have been paid (or not paid) and trying to mark them correctly in the table.
Rysaroni was declared the winner before she bred her Lovesick. And I assume that usually the contest stops at that point - as soon as someone is declared the winner?

Well, you have hit upon a grey area. The only thing I can say that is not grey is that her name and pledge should stay on the right hand side of the table.
The contest ending is a grey area we always struggle with, and is a more personal thing that Shane let people decide on their own if they wanted to pay pledges past someone being declared the winner. I personally decided to pay 12 and don’t feel you ‘made’ me, you don’t need to apologize. I always pay for all Pixie breeds, first or 3 whatever. Sometimes people will still pay twins until the limited leaves.
The mind blowing one is that the last person is actually declared the winner when they are the only one left. Which means that they can then purchase the dragon and still be considered the winner.
The thing to stress is that it is just for fun and to support each other breeding. Don’t stress about it, there are way to many things to stress on.
