I just realised this means I have to update my habitat planning... 😭
So can I check... - Gargoyle, Flowerhop and Terradiem are the only ones that got an element added (only plant for all of them) - Gargoyle lost onlywater, and no other dragons lost any elements Is that correct?
If it is, I need to sell a water habitat and re-organise about 3 islands... *siiiiiiggggggghhhhhhh*
You're like me in how picky your island designs are. It stinks that the Gargoyle Dragon is ruining your plans.
I'm not really 'picky', it's just that I had bought enough habitats to house every single dragon already. I was happy to require additional habitats because that was inevitable and I can just start a new island, but losing the water habitat means there's now a random space on the island that has half fire and half water. (When I reorganised I happened to put elements together, just so that I could keep track of what had gone where.)
I am, however, pretty sure one of my overflow habitats was fire (the other is air, and then a bunch of plant habitats), so it's not awful, as long as it is the case that said overflow fire habitat exists.

I think I must be a very unorganized player! My park would probably drive you crazy in it’s apparently random state. I place habitats where ever it seems good to me, and dragons go where ever they fit. I routinely mix habitats of various types. I have a “university” island, where I think wizards, witches, and their ilk would come to study; besides libraries, housing, a large park, and bars (inns) I have Plant, Rainbow, Zodiac, and Paradise habitats. The students and scholars need access to a variety of dragons. And a great bar/restaurant to gather in for scholarly debates; it’s called The ‘Pod, after the Spectrapod dragon flying overhead.

Oh, my park used to be incredibly random - even the islands that were supposed to have a theme ended up a hodgepodge! 😂 Even now the only order is the layout and the elements, which was just coincidence - the pedestals and decorations just go wherever there's space. And my small parks, well... There isn't even a vague structure, it's just C H A O S.
That university island sounds so cool though! You have much more constraint than me if you've managed to keep it to one theme 😅 I once decorated an island, with four golden pathways stemming from the portal in the centre lined with daisies and yellow trees, but even that ended up becoming a dumping ground for random decorations I'd bought. I had to get rid of the island to make space for habitats when I was reorganising, but I took a screenshot, so maybe I'll remake it all nicely one day.
Now that I have spare islands from the mini event and a wish coming up, I think I'm going to wish for the overgrown island and decorate that to make it look like a woodland. On the other hand I really want to make my first DC farm and have been storing up rainbows for a while now, so I might go for the colossal...
This may not be lovely doubly related, but the Gargoyle Dragon, Flowerhop Dragon, and the Terradiem Dragon now have the plant element. In Gargoyle's case, it no longer has the water element.
This follows about 48H after I made a Reddit meme regarding odd element picks about the plant element, and which dragons looked like plant dragons but still didn't have the Plant element. The post has so far recieved over 300 upvotes, and coincedentally, all three of the dragons that were changed were listed on that post.
Did I seriously change the dragon elements of this trio single-handedly?
(After noticing this, I am moving all three of these dragons to the same plant habitat in which my Gatren Dragon is in).
My Gargoyle is in the paradise habitat. I am never moving it. I love that it's in the wrong place due to the element change.
I’ve been reading old event threads here to prepare for the Luck of the Vale event. Thanks to you all, I’m saving up etherium because I know I’m going to want to try for some Chrysalis EOMs.
Got a question:
I saw it mentioned that you can sell evolve decorations for EC after you use them, before the event is over. I have a Mesmer and a Mesmerus, and all the evolve decoration. I don’t have a twin or trained Mesmerus, don’t think at this point I care to. But what do you think, is it safe to sell those decorations (the ones to evolve a Mesmer) if I’ve already got Mesmerus and don’t care to get another?

I believe they only sell for 50 EC, so that would only be 500 EC. If you will use that 500 EC then perhaps. The decos will hopefully be available in golden chests next Valentine's event so you can get them back if you want to. However, even if you're not currently planning on it, you may one day decide to try for all decorations. Evolution decos have never shown up during Decorators' Weeks as far as I'm aware, so if you sell the decos you won't be able to get them back before next Valentine's event, and you may end up having to buy one decoration (meaning you'll have ultimately lost at least 500 EC).
I would say don't, since the small amount of EC you'd get for it is not worth it. Only sell them if you're 100% sure you'll definitely never want to collect all decorations and if you're 100% sure you'll use that extra 500 EC.
As for Chrysalis EoMs, saving up for a few is a good idea, but do remember that they increase in price FAST. It'd probably be more worth it to use the RBCs (if they are available in the next event) to clone untraited Chrysalis dragons and then claim them to get them in the Rift (it would be even better if you could get a twin version from Co-Op first, since then you'd only have to make one claim).
If you only want a Starwing for Pearlescent then either buy a Pearlescent directly from the event or buy at most three Chrysalis EoMs and if you don't get a Starwing/Glowwing, do the RBC method. If you want to get all Chrysalis dragons in the Rift then definitely go with the RBC method (if they're available) since even if you managed to get the four you need immediately (Starwing/Glowwing and then three from the outer ring of the breeding guide, not all touching) that would still cost a whole lot of Etherium (60k).
Also, looking at the Luck of the Vale event thread, Prism wasn't available last time, so unless that changes, you won't be able to get a traited version (unless you already have one of course) outside of RBC claims. So keep that in mind if you're considering trying to breed for Pearlescent.

So is it me, or is the 10 level tower MUCH harder?
It's taken me about 10-15 tries to beat each level so far, so I haven't had the opportunity to do the daily levels. I've only beat levels 1-3 and am on my 11th try to beat level 4.

Huh. Just this afternoon I was thinking to myself 'My goodness, the weekly tower this week is a breeze compared to the other ones'.
I guess that just goes to show, it is ultimately a game of luck. I'm one stage away from completion in one of my small parks but have only got to stage two or three in another, so it is just bad luck, unfortunately.

My luck is terrible-I try to breed a Primary egg and it gets rid of the primary every time. It's annoying and makes me have to breed it with a hybrid of the required element just to beat the level.
Same thing when "breeding" two hybrids consisting of the target element-the target element is removed about 75% of the time. If all of the target element eggs are removed, I simply quit the level as there's no point in going through with it (since I usually get the points necessary for the next level).
Of the handful of times where I DO get the element requirement, I end up with a total of about 7,000 points, which includes the twin eggs given. I cannot try a redo for the level due to the Chase Banking ad, else it will eliminate both my redo and quit me out of the level, resulting in a wasted ticket.
I also really dislike that I only get about 3-4 eggs with the target element, INCLUDING the primary egg, which really makes it tough. But when I do complete the level requirement, I tend to get ~100,000 points because the "breeds" are just insane (one level I ended with the element requirement eggs, as well as a Surprise, a twin Surprise, and a Twin Magnolia egg).
Still, I think the weekly towers have been progressively harder for me. The first tower was quite easy, and similarly with the second, but the third tower was a bit difficult, the fourth was pretty difficult, the fifth took me nearly the whole week, and this one I may not even finish, even if you gave me a whole week.

Hey Robin, I can always count on a detailed explanation from you, going into every possibility. Thank you. I think based on this information, I’ll keep the evolve decorations for now, 500 EC is not worth much. Might actually get my rift expanded enough to be able to breed a Mesmer in the rift, so that would be worth it.
Thank for the tips on the RBCs. I’m so stoked for those, trying to ready myself.
Any tips on getting the monoliths? I don’t have any, would like to buy as few as possible and breed the rest, but then I might want duplicates to evolve.

I love that I somehow managed to get not one, but TWO rifted Glowwing Dragons from random Golden Bucket minigame drops this event. What's more ironic is that BOTH of them were Water Trait.
I already have a rifted Prism Dragon so if I were to breed for a Pearlescent Pedestal, I would simply have to breed a Starwing and switch the traits over.

Monoliths 1-6 will likely be cheap to buy in the market. If you want rift versions, buy two Monolith Eggs of Mystery. They are guaranteed to give you traited versions. From these two, you can breed numbers 1-6 - traited or untraited.
Pixie, Glyph and Hedera are monoliths but they are evolve monoliths (our favourite way of getting dragons 🙃 ). You will need Monolith 3,4 & 6 to evolve. You will also need ten decorations to evolve each one.
Slightly off topic, Minchi is also an evolve dragon and should be in the next event. If you have any Stoneshell dragons you may want to breed some more to evolve them. And another ten decorations to collect.
The decorations should be in the mini games for the next event.

Don't keep trying to beat the same level. As you open up more levels do them, then come back to the hard ones - they then become easier. No, they probably don't, but you're not as frustrated with them. Whichever level needed the metal dragons was hard for me - I couldn't get the metal element to stick.
I hate to break it to you, but you don't have a week to complete the weekly tower. The tower will disappear on Monday at reset along with the event island. adlerist posted about it earlier. Event final date You will then have two days to spend your roses.
Any tips on getting the monoliths? I don’t have any, would like to buy as few as possible and breed the rest, but then I might want duplicates to evolve.
Hedera, Pixie and Monolith 1 have the same hidden elements and Glyph and Monolith 5 have the same hidden elements. At the moment I think there's the same number of possible results of a combo with two of the first three or Glyph + Monolith 5, so in terms of that it doesn't really matter what you go for.
I'd usually suggest buying Hedera, Pixie and Glyph and then breeding Hedera + Pixie for the numbered Monoliths, but it sounds like you'd rather evolve than buy those directly, in which case my suggestion is different. Buying Monolith 6 and/or 5 would probably be your best option (if you only buy one then you'd need to use another monolith-element dragon in Co-Op to get your second Monolith dragon, since due to a bug they can't be single parent cloned outside of the Rift). The pro of 5 is that it has low odds and the same hidden elements as Glyph, and the pro of 6 is that it has low odds and is required for Pixie. Then breed for Monoliths 3, 4 and 6 to evolve for Hedera, Glyph and Pixie.
Try to avoid evolving till nearer the end of the event, since as MinyaZ mentioned the decos will likely be available in the golden chests. If you only have one Monolith 6 by the end of the event, I'd suggest buying a second (or buying Pixie directly), because its odds are abysmal. I've tried at least 200 times in the Rift and haven't got it yet.
I'd also suggest buying at least two Monolith EoMs as MinyaZ suggested, or (if RBCs are available and you have spare claims) getting traited Monoliths from the RBCs. This will be the best way of trying for Monoliths since you can get plenty of breeds in a day.
Since Monoliths and Chrysalis dragons are permanent, I'd personally suggest trying to breed any limited dragons you want before them, but you'll obviously need the original requirements first.
After some deliberation, I've decided not to buy the Prismatic Pantheon and will instead be spending nearly 15k EC entirely on pedestals. The thing is, I won't actually use the Pantheon since I get enough EC without the hidden visitors and even if I felt particularly inclined to search for them, the edit path trick is enough for me. The only reason why I was considering it in the first place was because I'd specifically left a space on my first island for it. But 12k EC is a lot for one thing and I'd only be able to get about 6 pedestals at the very most afterwards... So, somewhere around 22 pedestals are going to be added to my park. Some of them I don't even have the dragons for yet 😂
It is done. At least there's only one Habitat Island left that needs more pedestals to fill in all the empty space. (There are two islands that are mostly for decorations but they're still pretty much empty anyway.)
I finally got a rifted Mesmer. What would be the best to breed with to get a second?
If you have elder traited Dargon, use that (downside is that Dargon can be a result but it's only 1% chance). Other than that, a high level dragon that doesn't have any elements other than plant, fire, earth, cold, lightning or air. Preferably a hybrid that could be a result of breeding with Mesmer anyway (e.g. Poison would be a good choice, rather than something like Reindeer which isn't currently available but could be a result of parent cloning).
Also avoid the fire, water, air, earth, dark and cold traits/alignments (use the Transfiguration Tower if you need to change traits). If you do, that'll avoid the possibility of all Rift-exclusives that could otherwise be a result of using Mesmer in the Rift cave. Don't use a Rift primary since I believe the Rift primaries can be a result of any combo that uses them (unlike the normal primaries).

I already know there's only four days to beat the tower, that's why I mentioned that I was unsure if I'll even be able to beat it.
I also mentioned why I prefer playing the levels in order, even if I am stuck, as my OCD makes me suuuuppperr annoyed if I play them out of order.
Besides, as I usually quit out of levels if I know I cannot get the goal, I usually can't unlock the next level anyway until I beat the previous one.
Besides, as I usually quit out of levels if I know I cannot get the goal, I usually can't unlock the next level anyway until I beat the previous one.
I'd suggest not doing that then... I've never had to replay a level more than once after I've completed it, so if you bank high scoring eggs on a level you know you can't beat you're pretty much guaranteed to be able to progress once you've completed it.

Do we know when reset is going to be? Do they think there might be issues like there have been in the past?
