St. Patrick was visiting an old friend from South Korea who had a dragon named Rupert. Rupert loved to eat zazzberries and macaroni salad! One rainy spring evening, he walked to the nearest large pasture and planted some incredibly purple mushrooms with golden spots and orange stems. The mushrooms said, “I talk!” and Rupert was shocked. “What do you think of my colorful cap?” asked the mushroom. Rupert was so impressed that he couldn't speak. Instead, he simply blinked and began to dance around, laughing loudly. The mushrooms couldn't believe their eyes. Once Rupert decided he had had enough of dancing around, St. Patrick led him towards the clover patch on the Lucky Knoll. Once they reached the patch of festive clovers, Rupert rolled around in the greens until he got tired. The dragon curled up and yawned, "It's been such a long day!" Rupert slept for twelve whole days!
After waking, Rupert let the sun warm his face. He sat up and stared at the purple mushrooms that had grown so large while he had slumbered. Rupert gasped happily, and asked when they grew so tall and looming. The mushrooms replied, “Eat me.” Rupert was astonished, but very hungry. "Well, all that sleeping has left me famished.” Rupert leapt up and scrambled over some blue rocks to grab handfuls of mushrooms! After feasting, he realized that St. Patrick was looking very hungry too. "Would you like some purple mushrooms?" asked Rupert. St. Patrick quickly nodded and said, "Yes please!" The two walked quickly over to the mushrooms and feasted. With full bellies, they thanked the talking mushrooms for letting them eat them. The uneaten mushrooms said their only aspiration was to sate appetites. With that assurance, St. Patrick took as many chatty mushrooms that he could carry in his large backpack. He transported them into the nearest Ye Olde Buffet, and offered some mushrooms to the chefs. Two visitors arrived at their table and started their lunch. "Hey, have you purple and red mushrooms on the menu?” inquired the visitors. St. Patrick just replied with, 'Of course!'. ‘Eat us’ said the tasty mushrooms! The visitors quickly gobbled them, trying

THE END
Well that ended... abruptly 🤣
It’s extremely difficult to get to a point where someone has added a period, and you can write THE END. So it’s not in the rules that the final sentence must be complete. And we’ll probably have more abrupt endings in the future. Since the story wasn’t going anywhere, it didn’t seem worth it to continue the spring theme when it’s winter.
Would you like to add two words?
