I have some questions for the community: 1) what can I find in one spring chest? ( how many decorations per chest?) 2) what is the better way to get Glyph, hedera and Pixie: buy them = 23 491 eggs or evolve = how many spring chests? ( 1 500/one chest)
You get one decoration per chest, but bear in mind that you can get them from golden chests in event mini games (that's Name the egg/dragon, dragon drop, wheel of chance). If you want to go down the evolution route, wait till the end of the event, since the Spring Chest guarantees a new decoration while the golden chests don't. But make sure there are no decorations in your gifts when you buy the spring chest. If you want to get all decorations eventually, it's cheaper to buy the spring chests than to buy the evolution dragons directly. If you want an evolution dragon in the Rift then it'll be easier to get one if you have the decorations. If you're getting close to the end of the event and have a lot of evolution decorations and the base dragon, then go down the evolution route. Bear in mind that evolution itself costs 1000 eggs, and if you don't have the base you'll need to buy that too.
If none of these apply to you, it's cheaper to buy the dragons directly (this is the case for all evolution dragons).
I can confirm that buying spring chests DOES NOT guarantee a new deco. I blew through 4500 eggs (3 chests) before I realised I was getting duplicates, when I should have received the last shell I needed. I am content with burning through gems for golden chests as it is known that the rewards are a lottery. But I am very upset that I’ve wasted precious eggs on chests that are supposed to guarantee decos. I don’t think it’s fair at all to spend 1500 eggs on a “lottery”.
I will say however that I received 7 of the last 8 decos I needed before I started receiving duplicates. But still, I should have a full collection.
Edit: Not 3 minutes after posting this rant, I received the final shell in a golden chest. Such an incredibly small chance of that happening; I guess everything evened out! So, I guess it’s time to crack out the cheese to have with my wine!

Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

You did place the deco in your park first, right? If it's still in your gifts then the game doesn't recognise it. Event market chests have in the past always guaranteed a new decoration (as far as I'm aware) so I'd be very surprised if they changed it so suddenly.

You could also buy Monolith eggs of mystery in the rift to get them. That is how I originally got all three.
Wait, you got evolve Monoliths in the Rift Monomlith EOM? That’s news to me!

I had them all in my park as I had them placed in order to keep track of them. I played games for gems until I needed less than 10 in total; 3 wooden idols, 1 ivy leaf, 2 roses and 2 shells. I received all of them bar the last shell; I received duplicate leaves and a duplicate idol. It was very strange.

That is odd. However, I just read the chest's description in-game, and it has the line 'You are guaranteed to receive a decoration you do not own'.
If you were buying the spring chest, definitely had no decorations in your gifts and were getting duplicates, that was a bug. They are meant to not give any duplicates, like usual.
I've got a dilemma. I will be able to get all dragons in at least one park by the end of the event but don't know whether to try for Redbeard or Fae in my main park.
Pros of Redbeard: - I want to get Fae before the end of the event. Possibly quite early on. If I don't yet have it, I'll just have to buy it anyway, so the time spent trying to breed it would just be wasted - Since the event is apparently lasting until 1st May, I will likely have enough EC to buy Fae and the rest of the dragons I want to get in my main park - Redbeard's combo odds oare a little more than 5 times better than Fae's (4% vs 0.781%) - I'm using Coldcoil as the hidden dragon so there's only four primary elements, compared to Fae which will have all ten (thanks Snooz 😂) - If I went for Fae I'd have to claim Glasswing from an RBC, and I prefer to save my claims till the end of the event. Plus, I will be trying in an RBC, so that's two claims I'd need for Fae (and just one for Redbeard). Since there is apparently no triple day this event, it's important I spend my claims wisely - I already need to claim Cumulus and Glasswing, and may also need to claim Luck, so breeding for Fae relies on there being at least one Runestone in the event daily rewards - I just leveled up my traited Celtic to level 16, I don't want all those treats to be wasted 😭 - Celtic + Stoneshell has more elements in the mix than Celtic + Coldcoil, and I'd need to breed both Flowerhop and Stoneshell beforehand, so Celtic + Stoneshell in the Rift might not be the best alternative - I want to use Stoneshell in breeding something else so won't be able to use that combo in the Rift throughout the whole event
Pros of Fae: - It's more expensive than Redbeard. If I don't get Fae from breeding in my main park, I will be buying it in my main park - If I were to buy Fae I might not be able to buy any limited dragons in my main park, so if they all have low Co-Op odds that won't be good - It would be far more beneficial to have it in my main park than it would be to have Redbeard - While its odds are about 0.781%, it's pretty much in the top third of highest odds of Glasswing + Snooz. The best odds of that combo are 1% chances for both parents and the highest odds besides that are less than 0.2% greater than Fae's odds. While Redbeard has much fewer results, there are plenty of dragons with a 5% chance (rather than Redbeard's 4%), not to mention both Celtic and Coldcoil have a 10% chance to be cloned - If I manage to get a twin Minchi for androidhelga I can use Redbeard in Co-Op for combo and cloning odds (this one's more luck-based) - If I manage to get Flowerhop in the Rift I will try for Stoneshell, which will mean I can try for Redbeard in the Rift (this is also luck-based) - I'm already trying for Redbeard in a small park, whereas I only have Glasswing and Snooz in my main park so can't try for it anywhere else - While there are a lot of fails, the fact I'm planning to use an RBC for it means that I will often be getting the 100 EC bonus for a new dragon. This is much less likely with Redbeard's combo and will quickly run out.
If I get a traited Stoneshell or a twin Minchi then I'll try for Fae in the RBC, but I'm trying to decide what to do for now. My main problem is Fae's horrible odds, regardless of whether it's using Glasswing + Snooz or cloning. Any thoughts? If I get Bilby (normal cave) and Stoneshell (either epic or Rift) from breeding, I can use the normal cave for one of the dragons and an RBC for the other, but this is very luck-based.
Redbeard has quite decent odds at 3%. I would personally breed Redbeard in a normal cave, and breed Fae in the RBC.

That’s exactly right. However, the Wizards redeemed themselves; it is incredibly rare and almost impossible to get the last required deco from a golden chest drop, which I got. And I did a bit of speed-breeding in order to recoup some of the 3K wasted eggs, and bred 2 of the new event dragons. So it wasn’t all bad!

The thing is, I'm using my caves for Stoneshell and Bilby. Once the limited is released, I'll be using the epic cave for the limited and the normal cave for Bilby. If I have to buy Fae/Redbeard/Bilby/Stoneshell for breeding a limited and get the limited then that solves my issue until the next limited, but there's still half a week before the limited even gets released, and the issue will come back again when the next limited is released if it's Stoneshell or Bilby that I have to buy.
Thanks anyway

I agree with @metaphoricalrobin. The chest should only give you a duplicate decoration if you already own all of them. So if you are receiving duplicate decorations from Spring Chests when you don't own all of them, and making sure that all of them are placed somewhere in the park (the chest description also reminds you to take them out of your gift menu), then it's a bug.
And an annoying one at that-I want to get the rest of the decor I need but if this is happening, I am not sure if I'll be able to.

I have both Mono 6 & it’s twin - can I use a wish to get a twin rifted version?
I don't believe you can get traited dragons with wishes (I think that's one of the features that has been requested). You can however try to get Monolith 6 in an RBC and claim a twin-traited version. Or, Monolith 6 will likely be available in the end of event gift if there is one, and if you use that to claim Monolith 6 it'll be twin-traited.
I personally wouldn't suggest just trying to breed Monolith 6 in the Rift, though that's based on personal experience (I've tried for it over 200 times now), so it's up to you.
I have both Mono 6 & it’s twin - can I use a wish to get a twin rifted version?
As MetaphoricalRobin said, unfortunately players can’t wish for traited dragons. To obtain a traited Monolith 6, you can either (1) breed Monolith 6 at the Runic Breeding Caves and claim the traited-twin version, (2) breed Monolith 6 in the Rift, (3) claim the traited-twin Monolith 6 in the event reward calendar, or (4) purchase the Monolith Egg of Mystery and hopefully receive the Monolith 6 dragon (it will be a traited-twin).
You get one decoration per chest, but bear in mind that you can get them from golden chests in event mini games (that's Name the egg/dragon, dragon drop, wheel of chance).

The compendium lists Dapplethorn at 4% and I believe. It has been tougher than the other two for sure.
That seems right or maybe even less. It’s definitely not 10%. It should have been the easiest, but it was the hardest and for multiple people so it was not just bad luck/rng. I am having trouble even getting seconds using like + like.
Dapplethorn’s co-op single-parent cloning percentage is 4%. Ancestor and Ichigo are at 10%. It should be easier to clone Ancestor and Ichigo.
Kaleen, Logan14325, Lorry, Ney, Obijuan, and Swimmom248 have found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! 🌈
The St. Patrick’s Day luck is strong with the magnificent Kaleen, logan14325, Lorry, @ney, obijuan, and swimmom248! Apologies for the belated thank you, I haven’t had much of a chance to login. But I did send charmed gems and lucky treats to everyone’s Vale. Many cheers! 🍀💚🍀
If anyone bred a twin Ichigo with mine, and I have not sent you gems and treats, please let me know. I may have missed the twin since I was away yesterday. Thank you!
Is Sakura's base chance 5% like the Compendium shows it is? I've been trying to breed a level 16 Tree and Flower in the Rift for one and nothing. I have been trying since the event started and have gone up to 10k for the breeding cost-is it really that rare?
Also, is its chance decreased is you already own it? That could be a possibility to why it's not breeding.
(I am at breed ~#50 and nothing other than one Triple Rainbow). I could clone it in an RBC and claim one for the rift twin, but I only want to do it as a last resort.

The Koalas really are just hanging around your Co-Op cave, huh! 😂 Maybe you need to start growing some traited eucalyptus trees in your Rift to encourage the traited Koalas to show up.
In fairness, a 5% chance would mean roughly 1 in 20, so while you should in theory have got one by now, I didn't get Monolith 6 after over 200 times of trying, which is a similar difference (since its odds are a little less than 1% so I theoretically should have got one by around the 100 mark).
My only suggestion would be to make sure that your tree and flower dragons don't have the fire, water, air or earth traits, since that will avoid the possibility of Rift exclusives. I'm pretty sure the Rift alignment can affect Rift-exclusives that require specific traits (not vice versa though), since I'm fairly sure I once got Yolkwing during a fire alignment without any fire traits, but I might be misremembering. Either way, it might be an idea to avoid those traits in the alignments too, unless someone else can shed some light on that.

That is bad luck. The compendium usually shows if the chance decreases if one is already owned - look at Sumi and Misfortune for example.
And you know about higher level dragons give better breeding chances so I'm not going to mention that. 😉
