Usually I log in once in the morning before I leave for work, once when I come home and once more before going to bed. So I guess about 3 times usually.

I chose the 7 or 8 option. I usually clear almost every hour during the day, but try not to wake up during night to check. That's now, when I first started playing I would even set an alarm sometimes to check out things (can't believe I'm admitting that!). Having said that, I did wake up at 2:30 am this morning, put Metal & Flower back in the cave & wow! 48 hrs! Thought I was dreaming! My first Gold! Hard not to speed it up.
