Thank you so much for supporting DragonVale by submitting your feedback. It is immensely helpful, as it provides the Deca DV Team with player responses and recommendations for the dragon designs. Here’s a repost of some friendly reminders to ensure all ratings are accurate and counted.
1. You can add comments to your ratings, but please double-check and be sure you provided a number to rate the dragon.
2. If the following is submitted:
1. 5 2. 4 3. 3 4. 5 5. 4 6. 5 7. 5
But there are 8 questions (or if 8 ratings are submitted, and there are only 7 questions), the ratings will not count because it’s impossible to tell which rating goes to which category. Using the template will help avoid this issue, but it’s not a requirement.
3. Please use a number between 1-5 to rate the dragons. Numbers outside this range will be discarded and not calculated in the rating average.
4. If more than one number is submitted, the rating will not be included.
5. If you change your mind or warm up to a dragon, you can edit the rating, but please inform LadyJ so she can ensure it is accurately recorded.
6. Deca Games asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on. Please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utlilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
7. The Rate a Dragon threads will be locked on August 9th, when the event concludes. If you need more time, please message Adlerist prior to the deadline.
Many thanks to adlerist , ladyj , MinyaZ , and OboeKade for all their work on the Rate a Dragon project! And a huge thank you to everybody for taking the time and providing your feedback on the new dragons. It is greatly appreciated by all!
Last Edit: Jul 27, 2023 11:50:51 GMT -6 by adlerist: Added baby Light thread icon!
Please rate the Efreet dragon on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = worst, 5 = best). If a rating below 1 or above 5 is given, or if more than one number is provided, the rating will not count.

Comments / feedback for Deca
The post below is a template you can copy / paste into your reply so it’s easier to rate the dragon. Please be sure to use the template assigned to the dragon, as the questions may vary.
1. Animation 4 The movements, especially when the dragon appears/disappears, could be a little more fluent, but ultimately the concepts are great. I like how when Efreet is hiding in the lamp it still moves. Not sure why it needs to play air piano - that part could have been replaced by the dragon stretching after being in the lamp. I like when Efreet pokes its head out, though it looks quite weird 😂
2. Rift trait 4.5 Love it! The only problem is there's a bit of red flame that should be traited given the pattern and it isn't, which really stands out.
3. Size (if you don’t own Efreet, please check a friend’s park) 2 I appreciate it being the same size as Djinni, so it gets a back point for that... but Djinni is huge. They should both be a lot smaller.
4. Price (15,200 Spice) 1 Especially given Misfortune would require the twilight tower or buying it and Djinni is hard to breed, alongside the expensive dragons this event. I think 14.4k-14.6k EC is a more reasonable price for a fourth limited.
5. How well does Efreet fit the theme of the event 4.5 The dragon itself isn't that related to deserts, but the description does the job (though a player would have to already be aware that the Cave of Wanderers is in the Sandarra Desert).
6. Design details 4.5 The baby's really cute. I'm not that keen on the adult's face or its oversized hands but the rest of it is great.
7. How would you rate Efreet’s breeding combo (DJINNI + MISFORTUNE) 2 It gets a point for being incredibly well related, but it is ultimately too difficult - if you even manage to get the dragons, which is a feat in itself due to Misfortune's requirements and Djinni's odds, there are a ton of elements in the mix and as such over 100 results. Djinni should have better odds, especially now it's required for three dragons (one of which, Alure, is also required for Curse). In addition, while I definitely don't mind a dragon being used as a parent for multiple dragons (as it means you get closer to meeting 2+ combos with a single dragon), I don't think dragons should be required for multiple combos in the same event. Both parents are now required for three dragons each in the Paradise event; one overlap is already not that fair, but having four other dragons you can't breed for while trying to get Efreet if you don't have multiple of the parents isn't fair at all.
8. How much do you like Efreet (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4 While I definitely prefer the baby I like both forms. Really the only thing that bothers me is the price (which was a problem for all the dragons this event) and the fact that its parents are too hard to breed.
Comments: I think it would be great if all required dragons with abysmal odds could have slight odd increases (one of the most infamous examples of this is Eldritch but there are others, like Djinni, too). Nothing major necessarily but it would definitely be nice if most if not all required dragons could have at least 1% combo odds, preferably a little higher even. Certainly the limited ones, since you only have one event to breed them (and then whatever they're required for) rather than the whole year.

Animation: 3/5 Could use a little more personality.
Trait: 5/5 On the flames is perfect. Fire trait looks especially nice!
Size: 4/5 A little big.
Price: 3/5 It's fairly expensive. Especially considering the difficult combo, it should have been a little cheaper.
Theme: 5/5 It's a treasure. And where do you find treasure? In the sand.
Design: 5/5 I enjoy the take on making a Jafar version of Djinni.
Combo: 2/5 Although the breeding combo does fit the dragon, it is extremely difficult to breed. Both of the parents-Djinni and Misfortune-have very poor breeding odds, which make them difficult to obtain. On top of that, the combo contributes a whopping seven elements, which not only diminishes the breeding percent of Efreet, but also increases the number of excruciatingly long fail times. When all considered, the actual chances of breeding Efreet when using the combo is much lower, perhaps 1%-2%.
Preference: 3/5 I don't really have much of a preference for him. The concept behind Efreet is interesting, although I much prefer the original Djinni.
Comments: I would recommend that the base breeding rates of a dragon be increased if its parent combo contributes more than half of the primary elements. Doing so would counterbalance the decrease in breeding odds due to the number of possible results and would prevent dragons becoming as hard to breed as Dream element ones.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
1. Animation: 5 2. Rift trait: 5 3. Size: 4 4. Price: 3 5. Theme: 4 6. Design details: 5 7. Breeding combo (DJINNI + MISFORTUNE): 1 8. How much do you like Efreet: 3
Comments: Nothing too surprising about the animations with this one. The evil laugh was a nice touch. The traiting works well. His size is a bit on the large side. Price is getting up there, especially considering how difficult this combo is to get in the Rift and how many potential fails there are. Thematically, I guess Efreet fits. No worse than Egyptian dragons being desert themed anyway. Efreet has a good amount of detail and retains the 'DV look'. He compliments Djinni very well. I like the colours. The neck plates matching Saharus don't bother me, but those AND the Saharus arms feels a bit copy/paste. But I'm glad there's some continuity. This dragon's breeding combo is off-putting. I was lucky enough to have both parents in the Rift thanks to luck and Runic breeding caves. Others were not so lucky. A player could work all event for either parent in the Rift and never get one. Djinni and Misfortune are both dragons I'd wait for a twin weekend/Runic caves for, and Djinni isn't even an easy breed that way! This combo is certainly one that will require forethought going forward so players are ready in advance. In fact, it's probably just easier to buy Efreet, twin it and runic breed a traited one than to get the parents and then breed for it. Overall, I like Efreet well enough. I must say though, Efreet's egg is my absolute favourite of the event. It is stunning!

1. Animation 5/5, really expressive, love how one of the animations has it retreat into the lamp and then it cheekily pokes its head out
2. Rift trait 5/5
3. Size (if you don’t own Efreet, please check a friend’s park) 5/5, it's the same size as djinni so it's perfect
4. Price (15,200 Spice) 3/5
5. How well does Efreet fit the theme of the event 5/5
6. Design details 5/5
7. How would you rate Efreet’s breeding combo (DJINNI + MISFORTUNE) 3/5, djinni makes sense, but please, stop putting misfortune in combos, it might be permanent but it's a requirement for 6 dragons now
8. How much do you like Efreet (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4/5
Comments / feedback for Deca Do not care what anyone says, this dragon is great
1. 5/5 Really fun animation. 2. 5/5 Great placement & loads of traits look good. Not usually a fan of water or air but the colours work really well. 3. 5/5 Absolutely massive but Efreet owns its size. 4. 2/5 No thank you. 5. 4/5 Deca have possibly played a bit fast & loose with some of the theming but as good a fit as others. 6. 5/5 Great colouring, bags of personality. 7. 2/5 Makes sense but too difficult & sooooo many long fails. 8. 5/5 Love it (despite the price & breeding odds).
3. Size (if you don’t own Efreet, please check a friend’s park) 3/5. a bit big.
4. Price (15,200 Spice) 1/5. *please.*
5. How well does Efreet fit the theme of the event 4/5. not quite as fitting as the other dragons, but it's got its place.
6. Design details 5/5. has a very fun visual style to it that still fits in the game very well.
7. How would you rate Efreet’s breeding combo (DJINNI + MISFORTUNE) 1/5. this might be one of the worst combos ever.
8. How much do you like Efreet (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3/5. this is just djinni if it was better in every way, and somehow more torturous to get.

Comments / feedback for Deca RE:Breeding Combos It feels like all decisions are strictly individual and no one knows what decisions anyone else makes that affect the whole event. Common sense asks for some kind of adjustment as the number of Dragons increases and affects gameplay.

Comments / feedback for Deca : Efreet has some awesome animations, but he is too big and too expensive. Very nice trait placement. Only having the tips of his mane and ruff traited is a great effect. What was the thinking on this awful breeding combo? Djinni, I guess as it is another genie in a lamp, but Misfortune? Too many long fails with a too low a breeding percentage. Both dragons are already used as parents for several dragons each. Tried all week in all caves plus in the Rift up to E15,000 and bred two Efreet in the Rift – without a trait. Extremely frustrating.
