I'm an Aquarius and even though I don't care about zodiacs at all, I really want to get the Aquarian dragon (and I really like the zodiac dragons, they are all so cool!) I've been breeding for Aquarian non-stop since the beginning of this event, but I finally realized I should just get her with my end of the event egg, and try to breed other dragons. She's one of the most expensive ones that I could get from that end of event gift egg anyway, so I think I'll do that. Anyone have any advice? Do you agree or disagree with my new plan?
Also, it took me ages to breed Tourmaline. I was so happy to breed her. I studied geology in college, so getting all the gem and crystalline dragons (or any other ones related to geology) is a pet project of mine.
I agree with your plan! Any of the new dragons from last year are great picks, since they’re the most expensive in the market and fairly difficult to breed. Plus, if the dragon is your sign — bonus! All the more reason to select it.

Gravity…. Does “only in co op” mean that there isn’t a Traited version? Or will a Galaxy mystery egg possibly give me a Gravity dragon? Could it show up in the gift list on the last day? I have a Twin so if it’s there might I score a Rift Gravity?
Sadly, selecting a traited Gravity dragon from the event’s final prize is the only way to obtain a traited version, unless you’re willing to spend oodles of Etherium on the Galaxy Egg of Mystery or get super lucky with the daily rewards Galaxy mystery egg every 100 days.

Three weeks ago, a giraffe at the Brights Zoo in Tennessee was born without spots! This is the only spotless giraffe in the world. The all-brown, perfectly toasted-marshmallow-coloured giraffe looks a lot like the centaur horse of Sagittarian. Just look at those long front legs they share! Everybody knows a giraffe is a looong horse.
Giraffes are one of my favourite animals, so this gives Sagittarian a notable boost in my opinion.
The Brights Zoo is holding a contest to name the Melba-toast-tinted giant. There are four names you can vote for on their Facebook post. Sadly, 'Spot' and 'Giraffey McGiraffeface' are not options.
Sagittarian does look like a giraffe with those legs lol! I heard about this baby giraffe in the news. She’s so so beautiful! Aww 🥰 I love that she doesn’t have spots that’s so rare. It’s weird because there isn’t even an outline or shadow of where the spots would be. She’s completely brown except for the typical white belly.

. Thanks! I’ll be watching for it at the end of the event prizes.
At the end of the Silver Age, the gods departed from the Vale and rose to the galaxy. Virgonian was the last to say farewell. When the wizards pleaded for her to stay, Virgonian assured them that the gods were not leaving because they were angry, but rather that they were no longer needed. She rested her wing on the land and beckoned the wheat for the final time. And with the promise of endless crops that still grow to this day, Virgonian ascended to the stars.
Virgonian is in the co-op teaching the grace and manners of the gods. Koala goddess to all!
Breeding hint: APERTURE + earth
Incubation time: 29 hours
Status: Limited tier, 7 days
Habitats: Zodiac, Earth
Contributing elements: earth, cold, water
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 3.3%; co-op clone 4%
Cloning dragons:
Elders • Earth, Cold, Water
Hybrids • Mud, Ice, Iceberg
Many cheers to MinyaZ for the cloning dragons!
PRO TIPS
Since Virgonian already contributes the earth element, if you clone Virgonian with Aperture in the co-op, you can receive both cloning and breeding percentages — 7.3%!
For breeding in the Rift, Arctic and Geode are the best dragons to breed with Aperture to maximise the amount of Star Dust you can earn from breeding fails.
Edit: I bred Aperture + Arctic (both level 20) in the Rift and received a traited Virgonian on the first try! (tears of utter joy)

I believe the giraffe does have spots. It’s one gigantic spot!

DECA is spoiling us with these dragons, they are BEAUTIFUL! 💖 I got it after only a few attempts in the Rift (same combo as you)! Well, back to trying for a traited Stygian, third time's the charm...

You can also get lucky in Dragon Draw and win one.
You don’t need a tent when you’re camping under the stars. But if you want to capture the starry magic of the night, the Noel dePlante-approved Stargazer is a requirement. Don’t be left without the celestial details. Simply rate all the new Camping Under the Stars II dragons before the event concludes, and you'll be marvelling at the constellations every night!
Since we have completed two full years of Rate a Dragon there are now two previous camping awards to offer. Instead of the Stargazer, you can choose the Astral Spire from last year’s Camping Under the Stars or Bluetooth the Bluebird from Camp DragonVale. When you’re done rating the Camping Under the Stars II dragons, message me, and Astral Spire or the beloved Bluebird will be placed on your profile instead. Please be aware that awards will be added to profiles up to 12 days after the event concludes, depending on how busy the next event becomes, bug reports, schedules, and real life. Thank you for your patience.
To give you a head start in the stars, here are the first two Rate a Dragon threads

I really like the design and colors of Virgonian! Very nice! I just wish the adult wasn’t so blurry. This is an ongoing problem with this artist’s designs. But the baby is perfect!
Yesterday was my first wish since I started playing again, and I used it on the Gargantuan Island because I desperately needed space! Now my Iden farm can have its own island. This morning, I also got a cold-traited Virgonian after like 6 tries with Aperture + Glacier! Wishing koala to all of you as well!
Virgonian must have brought a hoarde of koalas with her. I've seen so many people getting it first try with low-level dragons (best so far is level 7 Geode with level 7 Aperture).
Hopefully everyone gets a share of the koalas. I've sent some of mine to find new parks, since I'm not trying for anything currently.

Thank you for the Pro Tips! I will give Arctic a try too!
Well, I just remembered that I sold my only traited Aperture a while ago. 😅
Breeding it again in the Rift(hopefully) won't take too long with two Reminiscences on my side.
What's the fastest/easiest way to breed an Aperture? You use Reminiscence? My sister is also trying to get a traited Aperture in her rift so she can breed the Virgo dragon (her sign).
This is definitely Sagittarian’s quest. And they named it after hawk ! DragonVale loves Hawk!
Lol I saw that too, but pretty sure they’re playing on Hawkeye, the archer. It would be a nice nod. Alas, I’m sure it’s a coincidence.
There are no coincidences in DragonVale! 🦅

Trying to get a traited Stygian dragon was an ordeal. Guess what my first attempt for Chomp was! 😂😭
In other news, I've been breeding for Combustion since the start of the event with Mirror + Blazing. You may notice, unlike I did apparently, that that uses the light element, not the dark element. I am so annoyed at myself right now! 🤣

When I first scrolled up past this post, my brain didn’t see the adult giraffe’s head - it saw wings. My brain thought someone has added wings to a baby giraffe photo and it was being compared to the dragon. 🫣
Well, I just remembered that I sold my only traited Aperture a while ago. 😅

The best way to breed for an Aperture is to use an Elder Water and an elder Cold dragon. In the rift, water rift + cold rift is the most basic, and probably the best combination, to use for Aperture.
Aperture can be bred as long as the water and cold elements are present in the parent dragons. Currently I am using two lv.16 Reminiscences to breed for it in the Rift as they only have the hidden elements of Water and Cold when breeding, which allows for a decent chance at Aperture without other elements added.
HOWEVER, there is one huge downside for trying to breed Aperture using Reminiscence + Reminiscence - there's a 30% chance that the result will also be a reminiscence dragon.
One other option in which I have is to breed my lv.20 rifted piscean with Water Rift, as the increase in level allows for higher odds. The downside is that a lot of extra elements are added in which I do not need.
Tommorow, I might just change over to Water Rift + Cold Rift (both lv. 16), to prevent double-cloning of reminiscences.

After long last, I have bred a scorpionian. I used Kairos and the egg is now in my nursery.
When I went to select for Leonian, I forgot -again- to pair it with an elder Fire Dragon. As a result, Capricornian decided to join in on the fun and, guess what? The result is a capricornian dragon! (There are a few other possibilities, although Capricornian has the highest odds.)
