The LAST CALL competition is a race to be the last person to breed the next limited dragon. The ‘Winner’ (the last person without said dragon) receives at least a gem from all the participants; a meager reward for the pain of being last.
How to Play
• Register for the contest by leaving your pledge in a post below. The pledge must include ‘last’ with a gem to be paid to the winner. Extra pledges are optional. • Provide your Friend ID if not already known. • Breed for the dragon continuously in at least one breeding cave in the main park for the duration of the contest or until you have bred the dragon. • Rift breeding is permitted, but you must also be using a breeding cave in your main park. • If you don’t have the required parents, it is acceptable to try to breed them and still remain in the contest. • Announce here as soon as you have bred the dragon and any relevant details (Twin, ninja, day of the week etc) • Post here when payment is made for your pledges. It is a good idea to pay pledges as the contest progresses.
Finer Points
• If your park is not a high enough level to breed for the dragon, you can withdraw from the contest. • A pedestal may be bought without being disqualified. But it must be declared here that you have bought a pedestal. • You cannot buy the dragon and remain in the contest. Your entry will be withdrawn, but you will still be expected to honor any pledges made. • You will need to friend the participants that you owe gems to for pledges made. • If something happens and you are unable to participate for the duration of the contest, please let us know and your entry will be withdrawn.
The Contest Ends
• When the dragon has left the market or • There is one participant left who has not bred the dragon (the ‘Winner’)
Any dragon bred by any participant, after the winner is found, does not incur any subsequent pledges. It is at the goodwill of the pledger if they pay additional pledges after the winner is found – eg Twins, Pixie, etc.

Pledges Standard —] one gem to the winner First & Last —] one gem to the winner and one gem to the first competitor to breed the dragon GT —] gem + treats Ninja —] 2 gems to a person who breeds a second whilst the first is still breeding Pixie (Day of the Week) —] 1 gem to whoever breeds the dragon on the chosen day Middle —] 1 gem to the middle person/s to breed the dragon Twins —] 1 gem to the person who breeds a twin. 1 gem to the person who receives a twin. Rulilind —] 1 gem to each person who breeds their first dragon during the last 24 hours it is available. Sympathy —] GT to each contestant that had to buy their first dragon during the last 12 hours it is available. Rift Unrifted —] 2 gems to any player who acquires their first dragon by breeding an untraited version in the Rift. Giddle —] Gem to the 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th and GT to the 4th competitor to breed the dragon. Gluttonous —] Gem to everyone who breeds a second dragon before you breed your first. Odds/Evens —] Based on whether there are an odd or even number of players registered for the contest.

I also suppose this competition will be for the Thurs dragon rather than Shadowflash. Just bred rift unrifted Shadowflash. Good run of breeding posted already, hope this continues for everyone.
This thread is really for the next dragon being released on Thursday. 😊 But I'm happy to do a Shadowflash Last Call.
My only concern is that other players may not want to be included in this Last Call. But we can give it a try. There are already half the usual players participating. 😊

Well, just got a Shadowflash breeding in the ebc. Seems to be an easy one to get. Will be happy to participate in contest for the dragon coming out on Thursday if its not too much to create another template.
I’m going to sit shadowflash out, but I do want to be included in the Thursday release. It was an intense Dragonvale weekend for me, so I need a tiny break.
MinyaZ I didn't think this contest was for this "drop in" dragon. I don't think there was a contest for these in the past. My post was just an fyi.
In the past, this contest was simply for the next limited dragon, even when we weren't getting new dragons on a regular basis. It's evolved into the weekly limiteds because we know they're coming, but I'm happy to do it for Shadowflash

MinyaZ, my caves are tied up and my nursery is overflowing so I will have to sit this out as I wont be able to have a continuous cave going

It is going to be a very quick Last Call contest as most of you have bred it already.
In future, would you prefer that a surprise release did not qualify for the Last Call thread? I don't mind doing a surprise one, but depending on the day it is released, I may not be able to update the table until much later in the day.
I can ask adlerist or another mod who is on around reset to make a post that the dragon is not the expected dragon (or day) and there won't be a Last Call contest for it.
If there are two dragons released on the same day and one of them is a surprise dragon, the Last Call thread will be for the 'expected' dragon. If you are a member of the Spoiler Group you will know which one it is by the breeding combo. 😉
As this Last Call thread was unexpectedly used for ShadowFlash, there has been a new Last Call thread created for the dragon expected on Thursday. Not all players participated in the Shadowflash contest so I have automatically registered everyone that played in the Virgonian contest. There is no need to confirm.
If you would like to withdraw or change your pledges, please leave a comment on the new thread, before the next dragon is released. Thank you. 😊

Shane never updated till later in the day, so it should be no problem to wait. If anything you mods have really been on top of the game with new threads already waiting.
I personally don’t mind a surprise last call. I just had a full nursery and wasn’t going to spend more gems to clear it out( I figure I spent 3800 gems and about 50 time skip tokens this weekend).
In the past when two dragons released the same day it was decided by alphabetical order which it was for. That way everyone knew which to go for (and a couple times both combos were in the spoiler.) The dragon whose name came alphabetically first was for the last call.
You are in charge though and can run however you see fit.
