Strictly speaking going by the rules, yes this is correct. crazyj should withdraw, which would make theresa the winner.
This does seem to be a problem with automatically registering everyone for the Last Calls contests. I 'assume' that everyone sees my post announcing the new thread, but it obviously isn't always seen.
Any suggestions on how to fix this for the future? Should I tag everyone in the post when I create the new thread?
crazyj I'm sorry, but I've withdrawn you from the competition. As you have only just started to breed for Nacre, I think it is unfair on the other players to declare you the winner as everyone else has bred it now. I hope you understand.

I personally think the "original new" system worked well - you liked a comment to show you would be joining in. It avoids loads of "I'm in" posts but makes it clearer whether or not people are joining in. And assume pledges are the same as the last time the person played unless they specify changes.

Would it be to much trouble to have a combination system - first reply in the new contest thread lists players & pledges, and tags them to let them know. Players then like that post to signify entry?

No worries, I understand. I don't expect any gems for a win. My fault for not coming on the forum for a few days. Just didn't expect this last call.

I like the confirmation idea, since that way the last call thread will show up under my 'participated' section. Otherwise I might end up forgetting about it XD
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
It looks like several people like the confirmation/tag idea, so let's try this for future Last Call threads.
The first post will have the rules and the table as usual. I will still populate the table with the players that played the preceding Last Call contest and their pledges. The second post will have players, their Friend ID and pledges.
I'll create a new third post which will tag all players from the previous contest and ask them to like the post to confirm playing and to advise of any changes they'd like to make to their pledges.
If there is a current Last Call contest running, I will also post in there to advise there is a new Last Call thread and provide a link as I have currently been doing. But I'll also tag all players playing that Last Call contest.
I still like the idea of registering players automatically as some players do forget or don't have a chance to get on the Forum. It is probably more critical for the Anniversary type dragons that aren't part of an event.
I won't run a Last Call for the 800th dragon. The milestone dragons tend to be available to breed for a month or so, which I think is too long to expect players to devote a breeding cave to exclusively trying for the dragon. There is going to be another event running which will have limited dragons released every week as usual.
Happy to hear any comments or further suggestions. 😊
