The Dragonarium has a new feature, Gem Milestones! The more dragons you collect, the more gems you earn. After you reach a new Gem Milestone, you’ll receive a pop-up message indicating your reward. The gems will be delivered directly to your gem total (they do not go to Gifts).
Currently, 585 gems is the maximum amount you can earn for collecting 700+ unique dragons, and the minimum amount is 2 gems for obtaining 5 different dragons.
When you open your game today, you’ll receive a pop-up message indicating how many gems you received from collecting dragons.
If you open the Dragonarium, you’ll see a gem progress bar.
If you’ve earned all the Gem Milestones, you’ll have a completion notice.
Check out Deca’s announcement on the new Dragonarium Milestone Rewards feature!
By the time players collect 700 dragons, they will have received 585 gems.
Many thanks to tornorr for putting this list together. I will add it to the Help Desk for reference.

Considering that there are over 800 dragons in the game, I feel like there should be a couple other milestones:
750 unique dragons - 62 gems
800 unique dragons - 65 gems
Obtain every dragon - 100 gems (only given the first time the player acquires red fire)
Aside from that, I do really enjoy this subtle yet exciting addition.
According to the schedule, the rewards are missing for 750 unique dragons and 800 unique dragons. That will probably be added later.
You forgot about blue and purple fires! Those are significant achievements too.
I think there should be very special rewards for reaching red fire, blue fire, and purple fire for the first time — or rather, the first time since the Milestone Rewards was added to the game. The reward could be three dragons of your choice, and it could work like the mystery eggs. If you have the dragon, you get a twin, if you have a twin, you’ll receive a traited-twin. New dragons would likely be excluded from the list, but after the event, the player could select the dragon since it’s been added to the mystery egg pool. This would make purple fire a little more plausible, and it would give a mini boost to players so they can reach the next Dragonarium level.

This would be amazing!
I LOVE the new gem rewards! Very cool idea by DECA. And it definitely made a lot of players really happy today! I do feel that there’s something missing with no rewards for red, blue, and purple fire. Giving a reward for these goals would make more players strive for them, which means they play more, stick with the game, and maybe even spend money. New players don’t even know the fire goals exist.

Thank you Deca for the new Dragonarium Milestone Rewards. It was a lovely surprise this morning on opening my park. 😊
This will really help newer players who struggle to collect enough gems for the nursery upgrades, breeding cave upgrades and the other 'necessary' items that gems are needed for. With the constant events, it is hard for newer players to find time to breed the gemstone dragons which can be difficult to obtain.
I have had amazing breeding luck. In the Rift, I bred 2 Greymatter's, one after the other. What are the odds? Unfortunately, the odds were not in my favour as neither of them had a trait! 😞
Do we know whether Fury will be in the end of event gift? (It seems like most returning dragons are but occasionally some aren't.) I'd like to get a traited version of it but don't have a traited Snowpocalpyse...

We usually don’t reveal the contents of the final egg reward. It’s a little too spoiler-ish. Deca has given approval for some spoiler content like upcoming limited combos and the name of The Spoiler Contest dragon, so we leave it at that.

This went from the most incredible luck to the worst luck in half a second.
What a rollercoaster ride! 🎢
Deepest condolences for the untraited savagery.

I had no idea jrmur24 that the % was lower if I own one. But that explains 9 days of trying up to 5k E and not even a hint of a traited Scourge. I might take your approach with all those listed.
Edit: Next time I will read adlerist ‘s entire post 🤦♀️

I have also been trying for approx. 7 days of up to 10k E with no joy. I was loathe to sell Scourge but it does seem.the most realistic plan percentages ways. Buying it back is a good back-up plan.
I was all set to sell Scourge and try to breed in rift. However I realise I have a Scourge and a twin Scourge, so I think I will play the long game and keep both. I might get lucky and rift breed with reduced percentages. If not I hope to claim rifted Scourge either as final day event gift or in a future event with runic caves.
Wizards arriving late for work today in my park have to clean up both the Sulphur dragon habitat AND the breeding cave where a Zombie dragon was goofing off all week instead of taking care of business. Spent my stash of EC on Greymatter to clear long breeding cave fails before tomorrow’s release.
Greymatter is packing up his massive brain, making sure he picks up all the bits, and heading out of the Vale at the next reset. He will also be taking his pedestal. 🧠 😊
Greymatter has been extremely difficult for me to breed and is still elusive. There is just over 12 hours until reset, and with no signs of the dragon appearing anytime soon, I will likely have to seek help in the co-op.

Greymatter is so annoying to breed with so many elements, resulting in so many fails, diluting the breeding percentage to nothing.

Not to mention the fact that so many long fails are possible when trying for this dragon.
I ended up having to buy Greymatter because my last fail timer is about a day and a half. He's really cute, though. But dang, these prices are ridiculous.

No Greymatter luck for me either....Guess I'm buying it with EC. Feels so early to spend that much EC. Hopefully the next release will be in my favor...
Whitbee was too busy furiously scribbling away to notice Glumi standing at the door. 'What are you working on, Whitbee?' inquired Glumi. Whitbee gleamed, 'A new creature for All Hallow’s Eve that will dazzle and frighten everyone in Halloween joy!' Glumi looked sceptical, 'That sounds complicated. How will it move? Where are the joints?' 'Right here!' said Whitbee as he dramatically swung open the cellar door to reveal MACHINA. 'It will be metallic, and it will be strong!' Glumi peered into the cellar, 'This is true’, she said, 'but it’s supposed to rain on All Hallow’s Eve'. Machina rose from the cellar, 'Must not rust!' 'Yes, yes', replied Whitbee, as he tossed aside the extra Machina bolts, screws, and metal plates for the All Hallow’s Eve creature and returned to the drawing board with a heavy sigh.
Machina is in the co-op with plenty of WD-40 to go around. Koala-bot to all!
Breeding hint: COMBUSTION + metal + lightning
Incubation time: 17 hours
Status: Limited tier, 7 days
Habitats/elements: metal, fire, dark, lightning
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 4.8%; co-op clone 10%
Cloning dragons:
Elders • Metal, Fire, Dark, Lightning
Hybrids • Wisp, Firefly, Scorch
Rift Tip
Combustion already contributes metal, so only lightning needs to be added to the breeding combo. To maximise the amount of Candy you can earn from Rift breeding fails, Lodestone, Copper, and Ocular are the top dragons to breed with Combustion.

Dargon and Motley are here just in time to mess with Plant farming. They don’t exactly have the best timing.

The reduction in odds if you already have one has not seemed to affect my getting numerous basic dragons. However, twin and rifted dragons are on the endangered list!
