I had not had any issues until now. The game picked 3 dragons for the 3 runic breeding caves I had open. However all my egg history has disappeared. Should I open a ticket?

And now my support ticket with DECA was closed. No communication, no renumeration, no explanation. Just said it was fixed.
That is not what the email said. The Attachment feature works on all the threads on the Forum. If you post a screenshot of the email it will help to alleviate confusion.
Customer support can only resolve so many issues. They can send DC, EC, and dragons to your Gifts, restore a park with your Friend ID, etc. They cannot fix bugs. The email informs players that the ticket will be closed because it can’t be resolved through customer support (tickets). The bug needs to be fixed by the dev team. So they are notifying players that even though the ticket is closed, the issue is still being worked on. I posted the latest news about the bug on this thread earlier today.
No, sorry to be a curmudgeon, but the email I got was for feedback on support and just said the ticket was closed. When I try to click on the ticket for more info, it wants me to login to their ticketing system. It didn’t even suggest updating or anything. If I didn’t have the forum I wouldn’t know anything based off what I have received from DECA.

I haven’t yet been hit by the bug but I’m a bit paranoid so I’ve claimed a couple of dragons - Twin Scarab and Twin Djinni. They’re both twins I’m missing with long breed times and low odds so they’d be high on my list of claims even if I had more to choose from. I’ve also managed to clone Icecarade and Grandeur so my iceberry needs aren’t huge - I’m trying to be very focused on which drains to breed in the RBCs to give me good choices rather than max EC.
Just trying to truck along here and hopefully come out the other side with more dragons 🤞

• Currently, it is a regular day. The x2 is on the Iceberry icon, and the Double Day pop-up announcement is in the game — but everything is paying out the regular amount.
• The new DV update (4.30.1) is not causing the Double Day bug. I posted details about the contents of the update on the General DragonVale thread (related to ads). You can safely update your game.
• We do not know if/when Double Day will be reinstated. It might be better/easier if it’s rescheduled for a different day this week. We haven’t received confirmation from Deca, but it is getting late in the day for them.

Hi adlerist - I am sorry to report that my Lingo1368 park was hit a third time just a few minutes ago (11:47am pacific time), after your post above. As before, I got 2 random hybrid eggs in my gift, with all the history gone, and no claims left.
I’m specifically talking of how Backflip (before Hasbro was included) handled mistakes, errors or glitches… not the totality of all gameplay. My family & I got pop up apologies and was always compensated well very quickly after the mishap. I never had to over explain the situation or wait for a long period to never end up with anything. Now I did have more trouble when Hasbro was added so I quit even contacting customer service as canned responses was their favorite, and usually there wasn’t help to be had anyway. It’s about the same from DECA for most of my experiences. I have learned to play the game mostly without customer service help with all its bugs, and try to enjoy when I can. I let the last runic cave mishap go, and lost my money, but I will ask apple for a refund this year on principle alone if there is not a suitable fix.
You’re referring to 2011-2013 when the game was much smaller, events were few, and content was minimal. Backflip was still running the show after Hasbro acquired the majority of the company, but as a game grows more bugs and issues will occur. Either the game can end after a couple of years, or it can continue to expand in content and players for 12 years, inevitably developing bugs and needing to respond to a larger playerbase. This can result in problems with customer service. Backflip used to send out 1,000 EC when they made an error. That would not suffice today. It would only upset players for being woefully inadequate. Providing a blanket compensation to everybody might be the easiest solution, but we’ve seen that it angers players. When Deca gave everybody gems for the Halloween compensation, players who were not affected didn’t understand why they received them, and players who were affected felt it was unfair. Compensation needs to target specific players. That makes it more complex. And some players, like yourself, may be accidentally excluded. By letting the developer know they can correct the error for yourself and other players. Playing in a vacuum may prevent you from having to deal with support or the developer, but ultimately, it doesn’t help others or the game.
The Forum is here to assist you. If you don’t want to reach out to customer service because you’ve had a bad experience, you don’t have to. You can let me know, and I’ll pass your information on to the Deca dev team. We didn’t have this option with Backflip, so at least there’s more choice to address everyone’s needs. I understand your frustration, especially with the current situation and the significant loss of the RBCs you purchased. But you’re not alone. You have reps, admins, mods, and players supporting and advocating for you and the game.
Out of curiosity, I checked my email history and I have 32 messages from Backflip support tickets from 2013 through 2019. There were a lot of issues with the game back then, though many of those emails are back and forth about the same issue and providing additional data. So having major issues in game is certainly not new to Deca. Most of the emails are from Mike at Backflip, who was exceptionally helpful. Here is one thing I notice immediately about the emails, even up through 2019: If they can't help because of a bug, they still 'help' and sent stuff to make up for the bug until it's fixed. I have messages where they added gems to my account, sent me event currency, and even a missing pedestal and said they're working on a fix for the long term.
On the pedestal, I think it was one of those rare ones that changed if you put it in storage and that version was no longer available back in those days. I didn't notice it was missing until MUCH later, though I have no idea how long it was gone. I just had it in my checklist and knew I had it. Mike searched recent history, sent back a message that he never saw it on my account but sent me one again regardless and thanked me for playing. That is how you do amazing customer service! I clarified that it could have been way back in time, not recent, so they could find the data there, but that was after they already sent it back out.
While Backflip was top notch in helping players with problems, Deca has a much better presence in social media - on reddit, forums, discord, FB and more. They're better at taking suggestions and implementing them. They have an amazing group of players who help as representatives, and really do so much behind the scenes to help keep the events as smooth as possible. As a player, I feel 'heard' much more by Deca than I ever did by Backflip. If a parent dragon were missing in a Backflip event then just too bad, it's not going to be added. Deca fixes these things (usually). I just wish they would learn from Backflip's personal touches in their support tickets.

This is the generic feedback customer support sends out. It’s automatically delivered for every ticket. It doesn’t provide any info about the ticket, just wants people to rate their experience.

I'm sorry for constantly having this question. I'm looking to clone a Mistletoe in the Co-op cave. I have her in my alt park, so I'm just going to breed with that one. My question is, would it be best to breed with an Elder cold (which should give 10% odds), or should I try with one of her breeding pair (either Tree or Lichen)? Somewhere I read that you could get combo + cloning odds, but then I remember someone else shooting me down when I asked somewhere else (I think it was reddit), so I come to you guys for the real answer!
You can’t obtain breeding and cloning odds because Mistletoe has a locked breeding combo (Tree + Lichen). Elder Cold, Plant, or Earth would be the best to clone Mistletoe.

I get what you are saying, but I am being DELIBERATELY EXCLUDED from compensation by DECA for the Halloween 10-day lock-out. Why? I do not know. I could not collect the 100093 event currency that was sent as compensation—I was late seeing it there and I guess you cannot collect it from your gifts when you can still purchase event currency? I have photos from before and after trying to collect it. I thought they would replace the currency, but after explaining it, they offered me a dragon—that they won’t give me.
Then, other people got their Into the Greenhouse auto-selected day 02 gift replaced. They will not replace mine. What they sent me is still there, in my gifts, right underneath my 2 Motley eggs from this event.
I am having a similar issue. My park reloaded for ‘double ice berries’, but only giving single day amounts. I did not notice until after I sold eggs. Also, my park selected another hybrid dragon from my runic cave and collected event gifts. It seems that it is a REPEATING BUG. (And, like before, I would have selected something else….)

I’ll Deca know. Sadly, it doesn’t not appear the fix worked. There are too many reports on the Forum, Discord, and Reddit. Maybe it helped some, but it’s in no way a solution. I was really hoping they quashed the bug. Thanks for the update!

I am breeding in the RBCs in my bugged park, trying to rebreed the lost eggs. This time, I may as well claim them when I have bred them. A minor consolation is that I have not lost any EC from the bug 🤞🤞🤞, and that I can collect the EC from breeding in the RBC, a new egg type (100) plus the EC for that dragon.
But surely, I won’t be purchasing any runestones until the bug is fixed. 🐨🐨🐨🐨 to all!

I'm breeding. I've collected 3 eggs already - just to safeguard. I'll buy Runestones as needed when I breed the next one that I want. It's not how I would have normally played, but this way, if the bug does affect me, I might actually get to select twice.
