RATE A DRAGON

Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.

Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.

The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on March 13th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

Helianthus is an awesome dragon! It might be a little weird for some people, but it’s so different, funny, and well made. The design and animation are top notch. I love the art style, it’s a lot like BFS, but even better. Helianthus isn’t over detailed, it has the perfect balance. It is perfect!

Comments/feedback for Deca: I love flowers, although sunflowers are not my favorite. I do like this dragon, and appreciate that its color is not the typical yellow sunflower, but pink instead. Also like that it kind of reminds me of Audrey II. 😛

Comments/feedback for Deca : I like how it stinks up the sun’s energy and then chews it. 🤣 Nice trait placement, fire looks great. Really like the design it is not too complicated. Daffadowndilly looks a lot like Helianthus and not too difficult to breed a very fitting parent. Overall, a really nice addition to the game.

Thine cast judgment upon thee Helianthus Dragon:

Animation: 5/5 The concept for Helianthus is quite interesting, and the animation pieces it together well.

Trait: 3.5/5 I feel like there's a little much. The trait on the belly and back frills look kind of odd, and it should have been only with the spots.

Size: 2/5 Helianthus is really small. I would enjoy it being a bit bigger so I could see its hidden beauty.

Price: 4/5 For a limited, 13k is staying reasonable compared to previous events.

Theme: 5/5 No explanation is needed.

Design: 5/5 The concept of Helianthus is unique, as it never shows its face to others (making it the first dragon in the game without a recognizable face).

Combo: 4.5/5 With only one locked parent and an (epic) elemental requirement, Helianthus is not too much of a pain to breed. The only downside is that every sun dragon except for Sailback adds at least one extra element to breeding, which can cause slight complications.

Preference: 3/5 Although the concept is unique, Helianthus is one of those dragons that I will end up completely forgetting about.
