Perhaps it’s a little late for a whine, with only one day left to get a traited Kingstone, but here goes…
<🍷🍷🍷> Really, DECA, really? I just bred my third and fourth untraited Kingstones today in my Rift. This is really gotten out of hand. I do love DragonVale, but this is my biggest issue with the game. Why is it even possible to breed untraited dragons in the Rift? Untraited dragons can’t be in the Rift, so how can they be born there? As much as it’s occasionally nice to breed an untraited dragon in the Rift, I’d gladly give that possibility up for some game consistency and to avoid the extreme frustration of breeding four untraited Kingstone dragons. I mean, really… </🍷🍷🍷>
Now, fingers and toes and eyes crossed that some koalas stop by WestWyrm Isles Dragon Sanctuary tomorrow for a quick visit. They know they’re always welcomed here with open arms and all the eucalyptus leaves they can eat!

Oh goodness, that is very frustrating.
I will send some koalas overnight to help you breed a traited Kingstone tomorrow.

Ahh, I love it when a good whine works. I finally got an air-traited Kingstone on my second attempt in the Rift today! Thanks for sending over the koalas, MinyaZ. Hopefully they don't spend too much time at my eucalyptus buffet and can move on to wherever else they're needed. Cheers!

The intrepid NIMUE immediately dove into the Crimson Sea to locate Polarus and his metallic shard remains. The wizards and dragons were sceptical that a sorcerer as prodigious as Polarus could be quickly defeated. At the bottom of the sea, Polarus’ magnetism pulled his pieces into formation. The rust-inducing seawater was not friendly, so he moved with great pace. In the distance, he spotted the Mogok Caves and headed toward their shelter and dryness. Dramoria Mines would only be a dash away, and he could quickly regain his strength from the heavy deposits and lead-bearing ores. Nimue caught Polarus as he approached the caves. She brought the waves of The Seven Seas, and they encircled Polarus in a frenzied tide pool. Polarus grounded himself to the sea floor with his metal strength, but his magnetic powers had little effect in the water. He was trapped in a whirling watery cage.
Over the centuries, the tide pool has gradually subsided, and the remains of Polarus have evolved into the Shimmering Isles. Today, travellers visit the jutting archipelago with steep inclines and flat surfaces. The land glimmers in the sun with brilliant metallic hues that dance and dazzle from the shore to the hills. Wizards and dragons are endlessly drawn to the islands' glinting beauty and light — and the undeniable magnetism.
Nimue is in the co-op at level 20 making waves. Koalapool to all!
Breeding hint: RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL
Incubation time: 24 hours
Habitats/elements: water, dark, air
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 4%; co-op clone 10%
Cloning dragons:
Elders • Water, Dark, Air
Hybrids • Abyss, Trench, Fog, Rain
Many cheers to MinyaZ for the cloning dragons!
(Bred a lightning traited Nimue on the 10th attempt! Much luck to fellow Valers and Forum members!)
Nimue was The Spoiler Contest dragon! Did you correctly guesses its appearance?

It's my biggest gripe as well. For the past couple of weeks I have been trying for a traited muse. I was just able to breed one yesterday and it was untraited. I would at least like the added option of being able to choose whether or not a trait is included. I have just been told it is part of the rng.
Nimue looks gorgeous. It kind of feels like the colours of Dapplethorn and Misfortune's wings got combined with Everfrost's shape concept and Liveloch's theme.

I am in LOVE with this dragon. I MUST obtain it! First I need to get a Riptide dragon!
With the Co-Op cloning- is there a specific Elder or Hybrid that I should use that has worked for others?
No elders or hybrids work better than others odds-wise, because cloning odds don't change. If you're interested in not adding extra elements, or decreasing average breeding times, the suggested elders/hybrids are best. (The hybrids decrease average time, the elders give slightly better odds due to being level 21 not 20.)

Here we go again...
On my first try in the Rift, I bred ... an untraited Nimue! Shocking! I'm not complaining about getting a dragon on the first attempt. Believe me, that's always special and worth celebrating. I just thought it was funny. It's almost as if the DV gods are reading my posts!
But to continue on my lucky day, I then bred a second Nimue on my first attempt in the Co-op cave! I haven't sped it up, so I don't know if it's a twin, but that's some serious luck. There's plenty of time to keep trying in the Rift. I'll just have to think positively and hope it doesn't get down to the wire like it did for Kingstone. Deep breaths...

Hopefully it'll be a lot easier. Since there are fewer elements, I imagine the odds are better, so hopefully it won't take too long. Fingers crossed!

MareBare, the elders you can use and the hybrids that are recommended (have short breeding fails) are always listed on the dragon’s announcement post that Adlerist posts when the dragon is released. It’s a couple posts above. Here's the link dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/251162

This is my favorite story for the limiteds so far! This one and Darkarm’s story. And Kingstone. But I also really like Arcane’s lol!
I guess I love all of them. Great work! Love the map!

Snap! I did exactly the same thing. First breed in the Rift - but untraited. 😲 It is exciting and disappointing all at the same time. 😊
My luck finished there, but it is the first day, so I'm optimistic that we'll both be able to bred a traited version by the time Nimue has to head back to the watery depths. 😊

Oh goodness. Every week when I read these stories, I think that the next one couldn't possibly be as good, but each week they get better and better. And this week we get a map as well. Just brilliant. ❤️️
I'm so pleased to hear that Polarus has been vanquished and will never be seen or heard from again. 😊
Maydaytaytay was the main person who worked on it I believe, but I'm pretty sure there was a bunch of other people involved as well. There's so much lore that I haven't even scratched the surface reading that doc, but what I've read so far is very cool!

I’ve seen this doc. But it just copies and pastes the descriptions from the dragons, decorations, etc. There’s no story woven to link the dragons, decos, and places. I was referring to written lore, a history, creative writing. There has been some fan fiction, but that’s it. Adlerist has been the only one creating lore for many years.

I appreciate you digging this up, but the wiki fan lore has been dead since 2017. I remember the site from back then. As I said, Adlerist has been the only one creating DV lore for many years.
Thank you so very much, grahams, nagini, WarmToast, and Dsil! The swan-like Nimbues will be simply stunning on the Vale’s synchronised swimming team. Grateful gems and waterproof treats have sailed into your park. Many cheers!
(If anybody else sent a twin Nimue, please let me know. Thank you!)

I couldn’t have agreed more! As a big fan of mythology and fantasy fictions (love Le Guin and Pullman’s works among others), I love the stories adlerist had created over the years. adlerist, maybe when you have spare time (ha, like you have any🤣), we would be so lucky to read a published novel with all your DV lores! 🤩
