He spied the knights one island southwest on the edge of the Meadows of Ulster. It was sundown, and they had found a shaded area by the Vernal Springs to rest and replenish. At midnight, shrouded by the moonless night, Darkarm silently swept through the slumbering knights’ camp. The knights suffered terrible frights that they could not awake from. They were now living in cursed dreams of horror hallucinations and night terrors that plagued them in endless purgatory. Darkarm swiftly returned home, and nobody saw or heard from the knights again.
Darkarm is in the co-op telling bedtime stories. Koalarm to all!

I have finally bred my first dragon for this event! Had no luck in co-op with the three non-breedable event dragons, no luck breeding or cloning Arcane, had to buy with EC and might have cloned one in its final hour but still waiting to see BUT first thing this morning, first breed attempt in the rift I got Darkarm, Yay! Hopefully my luck has turned and my breeding drought is over and fingers crossed I manage to save up enough EC by the end of the event to buy all the non-breedables.
In May 2021, The Spectacular Spectacle introduced Rate a Dragon. Members who have been submitting numbers for the dragons since the start have now rated 179 dragons across 24 events! Pentournal Pagoda
Summer has arrived with house dragons and Olympic games in an arcane and medieval background. Enjoy the valour and jousting from the safety of the Pentournal Pagoda. The symbols of the five DragonVale houses, Blazing Gale, Hidden Bolt, Icy Torrent, Iron Blossom, and Mountain Sun, surround and protect the pagoda with the strength and will of the dragons. The Pentournal Pagoda is the perfect way to remember the Pentournament of the past and the Medieval of today. Simply rate all the Upheaval of the Medieval dragons before the event concludes on 26 June, and you will have access to the most coveted seats throughout the tenth century.
Since we have completed THREE years of Rate a Dragon there are now three previous summer awards to offer. Instead of the Pentournal Pagoda, you can choose Zoom Broom from last year’s Summerthings Magical, or if you prefer dragons over cleaning items, The Hat! from The Dragon Bandwagon, or if you prefer food over dragons, the Popcorn Stand from The Spectacular Spectacle. So many options! After you’re done rating the Upheaval of the Medieval dragons, message me, and Zoom Broom, The Hat!, or the Popcorn Stand will be added to your profile instead.

These dragons will instinctively guard any bridge they happen upon. Be it visitors, wizards or witches, none may pass through their cherished passage. Some valers choose to carefully sneak past the darkarms, others try to wrestle them, but for the dragons it is nothing but a flesh wound and they will be ready for the next encounter in no time. Then there are some valers that just can't be bothered and look for an alternative route.

I will miss the stories too! That is the first thing I read after the new dragons are released. You should write a book about the DragonVale dragons and wizards and all of their adventures! A new lore for DV, since there really isn’t a cohesive story, just bits and pieces from the dragon and decoration descriptions. I would definitely buy your DV book! #1 Bestseller and Pulitzer Prize winning for sure! 📖
ACID REFLUX! Is there a prize for having the most Acid dragon eggs in the nursery at one time? Shouldn’t the potential for getting a Darkarm dragon be pretty good with 2 level 20 dragons? Why am I just getting Acids?

If you're single parent Co-Op cloning I wouldn't be surprised at all because Darkarm has a 1% chance while Acid would have around about 45% (I can't remember the exact odds off the top of my head). Darkarm only contributes dark and metal, so other than itself, only Acid/Promethium/Chitin can be results if you're not adding results with the dragon you're using. If you're cloning in the epic cave I'd be more surprised but even still Darkarm only has a 10% chance to show up (single parent), and Acid/Promethium will still be pretty likely. I think about 40% for Acid still.
If this is combo then it is pretty odd because of the amount of elements in the mix. At least it's not a bunch of Chitins with their 1 day 2 hour times!

I just got my first epic board, though luckily it's only half epic. I need Moon, then dragons with the apocalypse, dream and rainbow elements. I've found all four that I need in my gifts and there's still enough time (about 2 days), so for once, I'm finally able to complete epics! This is only like my third time in any DB events. 😅 And hopefully the one that replaces it when I finish it will be easier.

Thank you kindly for your thoughtfulness, Sylviasylvester, Hetchy, and Singleimage! The dragon stories that accompany the limited releases may be more sporadic. If there’s a strong theme for an event, like this one, then there’s more of a possibility. But I think this is a wonderful opportunity for all players who would like to create lore for DragonVale. We have a writing thread called The Wizard’s Diary. DV has loads of ideas, inspirations, and writing prompts. I don’t know if we have any other creative writers in our community, but whether you’re a new writer or a seasoned pro, we’d love to hear your stories!
