Guess I don't watch Wisp often enough to have realized this was a reskin. I was pretty impressed by the animations until then. I've let it stand at a 4 though, because it still is a good animation for a Jester dragon. Jester's design is so well reskinned that I would never recognize it as Wisp on design alone. I'm ok with animations being reused, but I appreciate when they're used in combination with some new content. To that end, what's up with Jester's right hind leg? Is he alright? Is that one of his tricks? Was the original Wisp leg unanimated as well, but hidden behind the tail ball? It's so confusing.
What I don't like, personally, is the 3D rendering. I can't stand it. Jester's face doesn't look like it's from DragonVale. The tongue is also weird and slightly off-putting, but it isn't as bad as Shaper's. The colours being 'a little much' is perfect. This particular goofy expression isn't my cuppa, but at least he has personality.
The price, size and thematic relevance are spot on. I especially like the breeding combo.

Excellent use of Wisp’s animation! This is a perfect example of reusing a dragon’s animation and making it original. The vast majority of players didn't even recognise it. There were no complaints on Reddit, and they are generally very critical about this topic. Wisp was mentioned early on Rate a Dragon, resulting in some negative reactions. But if it wasn't brought up, it likely would’ve gone unnoticed, similar to the use of Neoteric’s animation for Melovine. Melovine garnered top marks from those who generally oppose reused animations and received the highest average rating (4.81) for animation over all the spring dragons. It was a hit!
Like Meolvine, Jester takes an old animation and makes it new by providing personality and depth to the dragon. Pangolian is on the opposite side of the spectrum, where a previous animation was detrimental to the dragon and design. Although Melovine and Jester are spot on, the complaints about recycling animation have a lot of validity with other dragons.
The breeding combo has too many elements for the breeding percentage. Instead of Carnival and Stage, why not Carnival + element, or Stage + element.

This is a really nice use of Wisp’s animation! I love the 3D effect of the ball. It’s more pronounced with Jester. The ball animation looks better on Jester than on Wisp! The only mistake I see occurs when Jester is floating, the back leg was missed, so it looks like it detaches.
Jester’s eyes kind of creep me out a little lol. His tongue hanging out constantly doesn’t seem necessary, it’s too silly. This is a jester dragon that’s named Jester, we don’t need more goofiness. But the colors of his costume are really appealing.
The breeding combo has too many elements, and the dragons don’t fit. Carnival is the Mardi Gras dragon and Stage is a ringmaster. Binky is a better match. They have the same jester hat! Binky + air + light.
