Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons into the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and relevant to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on June 26th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Upheaval of the Medieval dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

Please rate the Nimue dragon on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = worst, 5 = best). If a rating below 1 or above 5 is given, or if more than one number is provided, the rating will not count.

1. Animation - 1 - I don’t know if this is another case of the full animation not being included in the Dragonarium animation, but if this is really it... nothing actually happens besides it swooping down off the screen
2. Rift trait - 5
3. Size (if you don’t own Nimue, please check a friend’s park) - 4
4. Price (15,000 Magic) - 3 - the jumps this half of the event are too big. It feels like an excuse to have some expensive dragons in an otherwise reasonably-priced event. Disappointing, but not too bad in Nimue’s case due to good Co-Op odds and a decent combo
5. How well does Nimue fit the theme of the event - 5
6. Rate Nimue’s design - 4.5 - I personally would have preferred it if the design was more graceful and flowy rather than having the coral-like ruffled edges. As it is, it works incredibly well for what I imagine Deca wanted it to look like, and both of Riptide’s Spellforms give a reason for the corally frills, so I’ll only remove half a point. The colours absolutely save it — they’re stunningly magnificent!
7. How would you rate Nimue’s breeding combo (RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL) - 5 - there are a few long fail times but of those only Riptide has a decent chance of showing up as a fail, so there’s nothing much to complain about here
8. How much do you like Nimue (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) - 4.5 - perfect for what Deca was going for but I’d have preferred something slightly different design-wise
Additional comments: I like that the names of Spoiler dragons usually give enough info that you can get an idea of what it’ll look like (with a quick google search if you’re not familiar with the word, as was the case for me with Nimue) without being too obvious. And Nimue was probably the best choice this event with that in mind. (I could be a little biased given I scored decently though. 😆) Kingstone/Armor especially could’ve worked too this event, but I think Nimue was the best choice, comparing the expectation due to name to its real design.
3. Size (if you don’t own Nimue, please check a friend’s park) 5/5
4. Price (15,000 Magic) 2/5
5. How well does Nimue fit the theme of the event 5/5
6. Rate Nimue’s design 4.5/5 Beautiful head, neck, chest, wings, and tail feather! Tail appears to be a long, thin, lumpy rope??? Upon initial glance my first thought was... "intestines"??? Would have liked to see an actual body. i wish the feet were webbed and attached more securely.
7. How would you rate Nimue’s breeding combo (RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL) 5/5
8. How much do you like Nimue (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5/5
1. 3/5 Hmm, I’m sure it does more in game than we see there ^^ 2. 5/5 Really good placement & very sad I couldn’t breed one in the rift 3. 5/5 Perfectly sized 4. 2/5 Not perfectly priced 5. 4/5 A good fit if you read the description 6. 4/5 My kind of dragon, floaty & ethereal. A point off because the feet are a little odd 7. 4/5 Works for me (except it didn’t actually work in the rift) 8. 4/5 Like Nimue very much. Just needs better feet
2 - I don't know how I would do it to make it better, I just don't think traits work with its design.
3. Size (if you don’t own Nimue, please check a friend’s park)
5 - Perfect size dragon from this event! You did it!
4. Price (15,000 Magic)
1 - Like wayyy too high. I understand dragons released later in the event will be more expensive, but this is a three element non-Epic with a permanent dragon as one of its parents... it ain't worth that much.
5. How well does Nimue fit the theme of the event
5 - Nimue is the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian legend, so it works.
6. Rate Nimue’s design
1 - One of those super busy designs that makes you look at it and go, "Huh?" Also definitely should've had more "lady" and a bit less "lake."
7. How would you rate Nimue’s breeding combo (RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL)
4 - It's fine, I just feel like it has the capacity to be better.
8. How much do you like Nimue (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!)
2 - Dragons with designs like these really bog down the scores for me, I try to like 'em but I just can't.
5. How well does Nimue fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Rate Nimue’s design: 5
7. How would you rate Nimue’s breeding combo (RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL): 5
8. How much do you like Nimue: 4.5
Comments/feedback for Deca: I think the dragon is beautiful, with its blue colors and back story. I really like the sea foam on its neck and chest. But I don’t care too much for that curly coil it is dragging around. The feet also look a bit weird to me, with the feather like thingy attached to it.🤷♀️
5. How well does Nimue fit the theme of the event : 5
6. Rate Nimue’s design : 4
7. How would you rate Nimue’s breeding combo (RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL) : 5
8. How much do you like Nimue : 4
Comments/feedback for Deca : Really like Nimue’s colours and her beautiful big wings. The diving animation is very fitting for the Lady of the Lake who lives in the depths of lakes. Nimue’s body looks quite disjointed and rope-like. I think it is supposed to be serpentine like, but the idea is lost behind the very large wings and the fact that the body doesn’t appear to move at all. The kindest breeding combo of all the dragons in this event.

1. Animation: 1/5, The massive weak link of this design. A dragon that's obviously designed to be flowy and covered in rippling frills with one of the stiffest animations from the event. It's serpentine and covered in thin floating fins, but none of them are animated separately, and it's body doesn't "swim" or move in a way that makes any sense, it just sort of rigidly warps. This is most evident if you take it out for races; it sort of awkwardly drags and crawls on its hands with its body twisted up, as opposed to animations like Sumi which lean more into the serpentine nature of the design. The dive is a nice idea but it doesn't really translate to habitats without water, it just sort of appears to vanish.
2. Rift trait: 5/5, Fun and subtle
3. Size: 5/5, Needed to be quite large to show off all the detail, and lends to the fun idea of an entire lake seemingly riding up to judge a passerby!
4. Price (15,000 Magic): 1/5, awful.
5. How well does Nimue fit the theme of the event: 5/5, Another fun Arthurian reference to go with Kingstone!
6. Rate Nimue’s design: 4/5, I love the jellyfish-like frills and how they contrast with the sharp (but elegant) wings, the whole thing looks like it's covered in waves and makes for a very majestic dragon that looks like it would be hard to spot in the water while it judges worthiness. However, the claws sort of throw a wrench in the design for me, they seem kind of tacked on and ill-fitting, not helped by their weak animation. This seems like the sort of dragon that should be more like a wyrm or wyvern.
7. How would you rate Nimue’s breeding combo (RIPTIDE + TIDEPOOL): 4/5, Makes complete sense aesthetically, but riptide is a bit difficult to get ahold of.
8. How much do you like Nimue: 4/5, A really, really beautiful design for a dragon that's let down severely by the animation.
