RAGGLESNAGGETTS!!! i have set up an island in each of my parks to hold the Aquarium Habitat and tonight happily bought the first one and then discovered a terrible problem... i want to use the Paradise Habitats with each one but every. single. one. of my parks already has 9 of them!!! When was such a limit passed and why??? Is this a mistake? Can it be fixed? 😭
I have been *struggling* this event. Been trying for a traited Tidal since day 1. Breeding through at least 10k a day, generally 15k.
I've gotten 2 non traited Tidals, not a single traited one after 3 whole weeks. It's supposed to have 2% breeding odds, so there's no reason I haven't gotten it yet except supremely bad luck.
At least this limited gives me a break. Tidal is one of the last ones I need as a parent to other dragons. (The other is Djinni, but I'm gonna get that over the winter event from breeding caves. I've got the regular and regular twin already, so it'll be easy.)
Don’t waste a lot of etherium attempting to breed a traited Tidal. I went through this exact same thing two years ago. The rift breeding percentages are not the same as in the Vale breeding caves and some traited dragons like Tidal can’t be bred at all under normal circumstances. The 2% breeding odds for Tidal mean nothing in the rift. Claim a traited Tidal on the last day of daily rewards or breed one the next time the Runic caves are in the game. That’s how I breed all the dragons I can’t get in the rift.
I got a traited Tidal in probably less than 20 tries. It's all luck.

Most reward habitats have a limit nowadays. I think habitats like Paradise and Surface were originally limitless (possibly others too), but the limits were probably added either to make sure people didn't accidentally spam reward habitats and end up causing their park to lag severely/crash often, or for balancing issues making sure it wasn't too easy to house dragons/earn DC.
That said, Deca's increased limits before, and it's not like the DC/dragon caps are anything farm-suited, so I'm sure if you or someone else asked Deca to consider increasing the limit a bit, they would at least consider it and possibly do it.

I’ve been doing pretty well this event getting at least two of each of the new dragons thus far. Bought all the new decos. Waiting til the end to see if I want to get the huge aquarium habitat. I’m sure I will since I’m a completionist 😅

The Olympics started today, so why aren’t the fire pits on Olympus habitats lit? Did Deca forget to activate this animation? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I requested the activation of the braziers on the Olympus Habitats earlier this week and thought Deca had it covered. Yesterday, I was also very saddened to see no lit braziers. I’ll ask them again on Monday.

The reps requested an increase to the Paradise Habitats in 2020. Deca was still very new to DV and removed the limit. They corrected the error in 2022 and capped the habitats at 9. I can ask them to raise it to 12, but it might be a little late in the event. Maybe that won't matter. If it's not done, I can request this next year.

Thank you, adlerist ! In my request, i explained i wanted them to go with the new Aquarium Habitats (planning 1 for each park) and asked if the limit could be raised for the remainder of this Event.
Meanwhile: i'll work on alternate plans.

Overall twin weekend is going great for me - the Rift bred traited grin and Kaiju today, and I have gotten about ten unique twins so far, bringing the total missing down to 45.
With that said, stringlessworms twinned a gryphus, and one other player twinned a Nubis, which were unfortunately lost in the void. To make matters worse, neither screenshotted confirmation of a twin, meaning that there's no proof for submitting a ticket.

I stopped playing in my two alts some months ago. I only ever collected dragons I liked in those parks but even that became a chore with low odds, so since I was completing the Dragonarium in my main park anyway, I left them be.
Well, at reset today, I decided to double check whether either park had Efreet, the last non new release I need for fire. I wouldn't have actively tried for it due to low odds, but I vaguely remembered possibly getting one in an EoM.
The second one did! And I still had a couple hundred gems left over to try and get a twin with my main park.
It only took me about 20 tries to get a 1 day 2 hour time. I logged in to my main park to reset the twin backlog, then went and skipped the breed.
I HAVE A TWIN EFREET IN MY MAIN PARK!
I just need to get Grin, and the later limiteds, and I will have fire at the end of the event!

Now, I know you can afford 50 gems, and so can I (sped through the Party fail). But I feel so bad for newer players who don’t have gems and tried to send a twin Grin their way.
I hope you were able to grab your twin Grin, Obijuan!

I wish that Deca's Twin Weekend would be for three days the same as BFS used to. They've taken the 'weekend' too literally. Newer players or those with only a few gems will lose the whole excitement of a Twin Weekend if they get stuck with a 48hr or 60hr fail. Often the newer players don't have Kairos fully levelled up, so even he is only so helpful with speeding up breeds. 😊

I totally empathise with the long party and rainbow fails (although I did need the twin party). I had a long fail at the start of Grin’s time in the vale and used Kairos to help it along and was still over a day before he reactivated when I got my twin party ‘fail’

*cry* arrrggghhhhh and I’ve just now co-op’ed another twin Party. Still 12 hours until Kairos reset and then I’ll still have to spend gems to speed up so I can go back to trying for Grin. I’m ready to say goodbye to twin weekend *harrumph* *mutter, mutter*
As twin weekend wraps up, I am really happy to report that I have achieved significant progress towards blue fire. At the begining I was missing 54 twins, and now that number is now down to 31.
There is a likely chance that I get there by the end of the year.
