The cauldrons have been lit on the Olympus Habitats
The fiery braziers on the Olympus Habitats light up every couple of years in celebration of the Summer, Winter, and Paralympic Games. They remain lit until the Games end.
FUN FACT: The Olympus Habitat was DragonVale’s first animated habitat.
Pictured above are the Standard, Large, Giant, and Olympus Reward Habitats.

SIDELINE, n. The place where DragonVale park operators stand while watching a Twin Weekend go by with a greater than two-day Party fail in their co-op cave.
Twin weekends often coincide with rainbow dragon family reunions in my park. And 50+ gems is a steep price to pay in order to finish a breed. I was breeding two Grin dragons to try for a Grin Twin. Grin and bear it!
Oh I felt this pain also…second breed during twin weekend, 60 hour timer! For sure a steep price, that I paid because there are so many twins I want. Hopefully you will have koala for the rest of this event.
1. I have a WISH! I am contemplating using it for another island (I have the two colossal islands) OR the Megatat OR the Triplets. These seem to be the most expensive things I've been considering. I have a fondness for dream/rainbow/sun/moon dragons so a few of my islands are getting pretty full of these habitats. I could use another so I'm considering another standard island.
2. I'm STRUGGLING to get the right combinations for the sun/moon + elemental dragons in this the Deepest Depths. (Razzle/Dazzle/Elegant/Monte/Ruckus/Toco) I keep trying with my Sun/moon dragons (Solar/Lunar Eclipse) + dragons that have a bunch of elements. I also try to put my Helios and Sailback/Vibe together. What have other's had success with? I might also post this on the Deepest Depths board too.
Looking for friends on Dragonvale! Co-op Breeding?: Yes! Gem Gifting?: Of Course! Dragonvale ID: MareBare#9751
Check out my park- I take care to organize it well!

I'm not sure what to suggest for the first one. My impulse would be the triplets if you have no gigantic islands left to wish for.
For #2, I'd highly recommend making sure you don't have a total of any more than 4 primary elements in the mix. After that, odds start decreasing.
See below for a sun moon hybrid chart. In terms of getting "into" the circle, Dawn + Dusk can be used to get Vibe or Dazzle, Pharaoh + Moon can be used for Dazzle, or Equinox can be used for Sailback, and it'll only use 3 elements.
Edit 3: From a quick test, it looks like these are possible sun-moon combinations that provide exactly 4 primary elements used in sun moon hybrid combos. Sunstruck + Sunscorch (possible outcomes: Sailback, Ruckus) Equinox + light/plant/dark (possible outcomes: Sailback; light: Monte/Ruckus; plant: Toco; dark: Razzle)

There are lots of recommendations in the Wishes guide that MinyaZ put together. The Triplets, Megatat, or even the third gargantuan-sized islands are all great selections! You can’t decorate the Megatat, but it holds 15 dragons and has a 10 million DC cap. The Triplets have less land than the gargantuan islands, but it is definitely unique from all other islands. So, which island you select will likely depend on whether you prefer aesthetics or land mass/number of dragons/DC earning potential.
The Bright Wild Nights (BWN) enhancement dragons all have the sun and moon elements in their breeding combos, plus two primary elements. To fulfil the sun/moon requirement, it’s best to use one of the BWN dragons because they have sun/moon and short breeding times. If you use Solar Eclipse or Lunar Eclipse, they could be a potential breeding fail with a 48-hour timer. But the BWN dragons are 8-17 hours.

Any sun moon hybrids connected by arrows only have one primary element of difference. If you use one to try and breed the other, you'll only have three primary elements in the mix. This could be useful for making sure you're always using the best possible combo. It also has the best possible "routes in" to the cycle that I found in my experiments. I made this a few months ago so I can't remember if there were other possible "routes in", but those combos have low elements and most of them are easy-to-get parents. Pharaoh's available this event, as well, and really, really easy to breed.
Edit: if you did go down the route of having up to four primary elements alongside the sun and moon elements, plant, air, dark and lightning would be a good shout. Though I'm not sure if there's a way you could do that without adding a fifth primary element. I'll have a look.
Edit 2: Pretty sure it's not possible. I'll see if I can find some sun + moon combinations that have 4 elements required for sun moon hybrids without adding any others.

Why? You didn’t need to remove it. There’s nothing wrong with having several charts. I know from the charts and list of breeding combos I post in the DV communities some people prefer images because they’re more visually oriented, others prefer text because it’s less distracting and provides more info, and others prefer a combo. It’s nice to have a selection for players to choose.

After all these years... Finally, I have them all.
(I can't tell you how long I've wanted to say that.)
Just an Efreet pedestal to go and it'll be fully golden. Amazingly, after possibly over 100 attempts to get Grin first time, I got its pedestal first try with its combo. Both were traited. Luck is weird.
I changed my park to full colour for the first time in many months for this moment...
adlerist , did dragonlover create that chart when the BWN dragons were released? I remember seeing it a while ago. I remember the pink background lol.
No, she didn’t create the chart when the BWN dragons were released. She posted it a year later in 2020.

This is a fabulous chart! I haven't seen it before. I love these Sun/Moon dragons, but they are not the easiest to breed. I had several that I needed twins of and even using two of them, they didn't want to come to my park. 😊

Congratulations kaleni#0146 . Red fire is an awesome achievement. And only one pedestal to go. So close to a golden Dragonarium. 🔥 🔥
Grin is feeling sad as his time in the Vale is coming to a close. His grin isn't as big as when he arrived. Grin and his pedestal will be leaving at reset on Thursday. Don't miss out, breed or buy one now, otherwise you'll have no Grin in your life. 😀😉

jodragonvale and miralen, I’ve moved your posts to the General DragonVale thread where there’s already a post introducing the new update and feature. Please discuss the feature on that thread.
For players that want the full details on the new icon feature, including how to disable it, please see Willow’s post on Deca Announcements. Thank you!

While unsuccessfully rift breeding for the lovely Leviathan, I got a rift fire and rift water as 2 of my fails? Is this an undesirable effect of the upgrade?
