I would like to voice my disappointment with the traited Party Dragon. Maybe I just got the short end of the stick with the air trait but isn't the point of the party dragon all the colors?? My Air Traited Party Dragon is solely PURPLE. Very anticlimactic. I feel like the beak, wing skin, and tail gem should be where the traits light up (maybe even the body) but taking away all the rainbow feathers makes it very sad to look at- at least with the air trait...
Looking for friends on Dragonvale! Co-op Breeding?: Yes! Gem Gifting?: Of Course! Dragonvale ID: MareBare#9751
Check out my park- I take care to organize it well!

Yeah, many dragons have disappointing traits, but when rainbow element dragons have ones that ruin their rainbow vibe it's maybe the most egregious. Off the top of my head the regular Rainbow Dragon and Enfis Dragon both mess with their rainbow-ness. For the Rainbow Dragon it just disrupts the flow, but the Enfis Dragon loses its whole rainbow just like the Party Dragon does.
All this talk about ELEGANT in the posts has caused me to abandon my efforts for Aurum - and join you all in trying for Elegant. I need a traited version and a Twin! I’ve had koala in Rift lately and just got a traited Aiffa earlier today, so I think I’m up for The Elegant Challenge!
. After 10 days of trying, I finally got a traited Elegant!
Twin Weekend will be here this weekend, so grab your co-op pals and draft your twinning schedule.
Get ready for Blue Fire!

I have been *struggling* this event. Been trying for a traited Tidal since day 1. Breeding through at least 10k a day, generally 15k.
I've gotten 2 non traited Tidals, not a single traited one after 3 whole weeks. It's supposed to have 2% breeding odds, so there's no reason I haven't gotten it yet except supremely bad luck.
At least this limited gives me a break. Tidal is one of the last ones I need as a parent to other dragons. (The other is Djinni, but I'm gonna get that over the winter event from breeding caves. I've got the regular and regular twin already, so it'll be easy.)

Unfortunately, the rift will do that to you. With the twins weekend coming up, one way you can try is to breed a twin Tidal, then claim a traited twin Tidal on the last day of the daily rewards (I am pretty hopeful that Tidal is on the list), if there are no other more priority dragons you wanted to claim. Or breed that twin and wait for the RBCs.
Grin brings the total number of apocalypse dragons up to 24.
With that, the element is beginning to get quite large, and I have begun to have issue housing these dragons.
The current size of the apocalypse element, and how quickly it has been growing recently brings a suggestion - Giant Apocalypse Habitat.
An 8x8 upgrade which holds 5-6 dragons would be perfect, and needed, for the apocalypse element, as it currently takes a total of 12 habitats to house all apocalypse and all twins.

Thanks for Grin's detail adlerist. I'm not sure how I feel about an Aura/Apocalypse dragon. It seems like a rather strange mix.
I think the pairing is cool in theory; I really don't think Aura fits this dragon, though. Even Apocalypse is a bit loosely related, but I'm guessing that was there from before the parent changes.

Don’t waste a lot of etherium attempting to breed a traited Tidal. I went through this exact same thing two years ago. The rift breeding percentages are not the same as in the Vale breeding caves and some traited dragons like Tidal can’t be bred at all under normal circumstances. The 2% breeding odds for Tidal mean nothing in the rift. Claim a traited Tidal on the last day of daily rewards or breed one the next time the Runic caves are in the game. That’s how I breed all the dragons I can’t get in the rift.
