Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons into the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and relevant to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on August 21st. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Deepest Depths dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

Figured I may as well rate the last dragon!
1. Animation 2
2. Rift trait 4
3. Size (if you don’t own Aquatech, please check a friend’s park) 4
4. Price (16,000 Doubloons) 3
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event 4.5
6. Rate Aquatech’s design 3 really fits what it's supposed to be but I personally find it quite bland especially colour-wise
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER) 2 Curse's tree is insanely difficult so Curse should've been changed
8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3
Comments/feedback for Deca Very good choice for spoiler dragon, it was pretty obvious from the name what the concept was but there were many different routes that could've been taken, so lots of varied possibilities.
3. Size (if you don’t own Aquatech, please check a friend’s park) 4
4. Price (16,000 Doubloons) 1
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event 5
6. Rate Aquatech’s design 4
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER) 1
8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3
Comments/feedback for Deca: a tricky design well pulled off, like a lot the cloudy/bubble thing they have in their animation. as someone who didn't have drifter and still don't have curse, it is pretty hard to get and 16k dobloons is too much aswell... overall pretty satisfied.
AQUATECH DRAGON 1. Animation4 2. Rift trait3 3. Size4 4. Price 4 5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event5 6. Rate Aquatech’s design5 7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER)5 8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!)4
4. Price (16,000 Doubloons): 3, a bit steep, but I give it a three since we have 10 days to breed it, and some players may have saved enough EC to buy it.
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Rate Aquatech’s design: 5
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER): 4
8. How much do you like Aquatech: 5
Comments/feedback for Deca: I like the mechanical concept and the back story..With a 5 element breeding combo, the actual odds is lowered. Further, since not every breed in the rift yields a traited dragon, the odds for breeding a rifted Aquatech is even lower! (I am still without a traited one in one of my parks). The 5 elements with metal, lightning, and cold in the mix is leading to long treasure, rainbow and sun/moon fails. There are 21 fails that takes 18 hours or more.

6. Rate Aquatech’s design 5/5
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER) 3/5, curse being a parent stinks, drifter is fine tho!
8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5/5, this genuinely goes hard, was fully expecting this to be humanoid upon seeing the name initially

Comments/feedback for Deca
The Rift traits for every new Deepest Depths limited dragon has been fantastic — well done! Deca seems to have nailed trait placement.
It looks like Curse was added to the breeding combo just to make Aquatech difficult to breed for mid-level and new players. It’s remarkably challenging to breed Curse in the Vale and Rift with its lengthy family tree and low breeding percentages. Please be mindful of a dragon's parents and grandparents when selecting new breeding combos. In addition to the difficulty of breeding Curse, it doesn’t have much to do with Aquatech. Aurum is one of the few dragons that has a metal, mechanical look, and it happens to be in this event. How about Aurum + Drifter?
Thank you for changing the unbreedable Invento to the breedable and lovely lobster, Drifter.
I adore the originality of Aquatech. But his techie looks and tech background were not incorporated into his description, nor does the description explain his appearance. Sadly, there were a lot of missed opportunities for an interesting backstory.

AQUATECH DRAGON
1. Animation - 5/5
2. Rift trait - 5/5
3. Size (if you don’t own Aquatech, please check a friend’s park) - 5/5
4. Price (16,000 Doubloons) - 3/5
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event - 2/5
6. Rate Aquatech’s design - 5/5
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER) - 3/5 Aquatech was very hard to breed! With the treasure and rainbow fails, I never would’ve bred it in my alt park if I didn’t spend a lot of gems. And I have not been able to breed it in the Rift for that park. Curse is not a good choice in this breeding combo.
8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) - 5/5
Comments/feedback for Deca Aquatech is great because it’s very different from the other dragons and unexpected. But I wasn’t sure how a robotic dragon fit this event. Why does a tech dragon live in the deep ocean?
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Rate Aquatech’s design: 5
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER): 2
8. How much do you like Aquatech: 4
Comments/feedback for Deca: Not a lot of animation, but it suits Aquatech. I love Aquatech’s laser breath and the ‘sand/foam’ cloud. The rift placement is excellent. The traited stripey effect on the fins is outstanding – nice job. Getting a bit pricey for an event with no extra way to earn event currency. Curse is a difficult dragon to breed with a complicated lineage of difficult to breed dragons. A nice addition to the game.
1 - Weird to trait some bits of specific colors and not others. I would've preferred a trat on the blue areas.
3. Size (if you don’t own Aquatech, please check a friend’s park)
2 - Too small, should not be smaller than Oasian in my opinion.
4. Price (16,000 Doubloons)
3 - Too high, but for a final dragon of an event and an epic, it's alright.
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event
5 - Perfect fit.
6. Rate Aquatech’s design
2 - A little overly detailed and its mechanical appearance costs it any personality.
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER)
3 - I understand why it was changed but its original combo made more sense than its current one. If I was going to swap out a dragon it would've been Curse not the other one.
8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!)
1 - I just don't like it to be frank.
Comments/feedback for Deca
Even mechanical dragons need personality, this looks more like an object in my park rather than a dragon.
1. 4/5 Not overly animated but good enough 2. 5/5 Perfect placement. I have light but lightning looks great 3. 5/5 Just the right size for my taste 4. 3/5 Pricey but predictable 5. 3/5 Think I’m missing some connection to the theme here 6. 5/5 A great design. A winged, limbless dragon is my type of dragon & love the bubbly cloud 7. 3/5 Curse you Curse & your long fails 8. 5/5 Love it
1. Animation: 3 2. Rift trait: 5 3. Size: 5 4. Price (16,000 Doubloons): 3 5. Theme: 5 6. Design: 4 7. Breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER): 3 8. How much do you like Aquatech (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 4
Comments:
I enjoy many of Deca's mechanical dragons and this one is no exception, but it's barely techy. I love the neck plating in particular and where the fins connect to the body. But I dislike that the dragon wasn't given much of a backstory that really played on its tech. It's like someone said "ooh Aqua-tech .. heehhehehe we need to make a dragon that works so we can use that name heheehehehehe". I mean, fine... but this almost isn't techy enough? The backstory also kind of infuriates me. I got a chuckle from the 'trusty sub' comment (was that a nod to luci's backstory?), but strange flickering lights? What flickering lights? Why is that there? Then he gets hoisted up to the surface. Erg.
I'm not a fan of the cloud. It never seems to go away except in the Dragonarium. I'd like to see the dragon? Is that Curse's contribution to this breed? Because Curse makes no sense otherwise. I like the fins and I like the part in the animation when all the fins drop. He looks tired or powered off. I also like the angle of his neck. That's a beautiful neck arc. The lack of colour is nice too. I never expected beige and grey, or brown, or whatever that is, but it looks good with the blue eye and mouth.

1. Animation: 4/5, I wish we got to see more of the mechanical character of the dragon, like the creepy flickering lights mentioned in the backstory, or clunky/erratic mechanical movement. It feels like it was somewhat ignored despite being specifically mentioned in the description. I do really like the strange aura cloud though, and the way the dragon seems to "fold" shut sometimes.
2. Rift trait: 5/5, really well incorporated into the wings especially, enough space to make an impact but still subdued and connected to the design.
3. Size: 5/5, large enough to clearly display the design and to be terrifying to imagine at the bottom of the ocean.
4. Price (16,000 Doubloons): 1/5
5. How well does Aquatech fit the theme of the event: 5/5, a super interesting interpretation of the deepest depths! I love the idea of this mechanical dragon being designed to protect some secrets hidden at the bottom of the ocean. Maybe we could see some other dragons of similar design from their creator?
6. Rate Aquatech’s design: 5/5! I love the colour scheme with the neutrals and then bright blues, it does a great job of conveying a shell powered by mysterious ancient technology. I also love the giant disk eyes and gaping mouth, it gives the impression it was designed to look scary as a guard-dragon, especially seeing as the face doesn't move much. Everything from the spiky mask-like face to the little circuit symbols and kind of steampunk fin-wings is so much fun! A great balance of complexity and simplicity.
7. How would you rate Aquatech’s breeding combo (CURSE + DRIFTER): 1/5, far too difficult without much of a design aspect to justify it.
8. How much do you like Aquatech: 5/5, one of my new favourite dragons, not just of the event, but overall! I absolutely love mechanical dragons and this one has so many aspects I love, from the colour scheme to the wings to the backstory. Just an excellent dragon!
