Animation: 4.5/5 Spelldome has one of the best dragon animations I have seen in quite some time. With that said, the dragon's nose can clip outside of its "protective dome" at times, which is just slightly annoying.

Trait: 4/5 I really enjoy the uniqueness of the trait being mostly in the dragon's animation. That being said, the inconsistency of the trait's transparency within the dome is somewhat bothersome to my ocd, which unfortunately hurts this rating by a point.

Size: 3/5 Could be a bit larger.

Price: 2.5/5 Spelldome is on the expensive side, and its 10% co-op clone odds make it better to simply breed one that way.

Theme: 5/5 Spelldome has a physical connection to magic, in which other dragons in this event do not. Fits right in with the rest of the class!

Design: 5/5 A unique concept paired with an excellent color palate and animation.

Combo: 4.5/5 Although zipzap does have a locked combo itself, it is not terribly difficult to obtain, making this combo not too hard to fulfill.

Preference: 5/5 Spelldome is one of the better releases as of lately.

Comments:

I'm not in love with Spelldome. It's fine. Some of the angularity feels like a lot somehow. The front legs start out with normal quadrupedal joints and then invert. I do like the wings and how they move around. It needs more traiting. Is it hacking up a hairball inside its dome? I'm confused. The parents seem appropriate and I'm very happy Deca used gettable dragons for the breed. The colours are very nice and I like the shape of the baby's horns and how they merge into the supercilium over the eye and then the nose.

Hands down, this is the greatest Rift trait placement in the event and possibly the entire game! Bravo! I love how the trait takes over the dome. Fire dome is my favourite, but cold and lightning dome are quite becoming as well. Spellform is raving at the disco of each element in his own personal planetarium with surround sound and a 360° waterproof experience. Surely, this is the best feature a dragon can have. Spelldome is the luckiest dragon of all!

Spelldome’s description ties it to the event theme instead of its design, but it works okay because everyone is preoccupied with the traited dome!
