You’ve analysed and examined every aspect of each event dragon. Now, let us know which Summerthings Magical II dragons brought the class to the event and made the grade.
If you’re new to the polls or the Forum, here are some helpful tips:
1. You must be a member to vote. This is a restriction by ProBoards and cannot be altered. An account is required to keep track of votes and to prevent multiple votes by anonymous guests.
2. When you vote, it is automatically recorded. There’s no Submit button. Backing out or clicking away from the thread will not undo your selection.
3. If you accidentally vote for a dragon or warm up to another dragon later, you have until August 23rd to change your vote.
4. The poll will close on Friday, October 11th at 11.00 PM MDT.
Also, in addition to the dragon ratings, I will include player feedback for the event. If you have any comments, suggestions, complaints, or compliments regarding the event structure, features, etc, please post them here, and I’ll pass them on.
Many thanks to everybody who participated — it is greatly appreciated by all!

Overall this was a good event with some amazing dragons. The breedable dragons mostly had good breeding combos that were not too difficult for newer players. Although some of the dragons didn’t seem to fit with the theme without taking the backstory into consideration. Still trying to decide if the theme was School or Summer.
The way to summon Treebark’s was an interesting addition, but it meant that there were four unbreedable dragons this event. For those wanting rift versions it is an extra one to add to an every growing list.
Thank you for bringing back Eggy Hatchy and fixing the redo button. Please don’t let it be so long before we see Eggy Hatchy again. While it can be frustrating, it is a great way to earn extra EC that doesn’t interfere with breeding event dragons.
We need a Dragons Week or something equivalent to enable us to breed rift versions of dragons that were released in an event but were unable to be bred. We’re about to go into Halloween and the three dragons that were unbreedable last year have never been released since. (Shackle, Eww and Magma) This puts extra pressure on players to try and breed these three dragons in a week before the first limited dragon is released in the event.
had my fun with eggy hatchy, was my first time doing an event with it. i think i got tired of it after 40 days doing it every time i open my phone. i would have prefered if there wasn't the easy 3x3 grid, it's lacking possibility which takes out the fun a little (takes out tickets aswell)... had still so much more interactions with the game, loved it.
anniversary dragons coming back, solare eclipse, equinox... there was so much stuff to unlock, i defenetly didn't ran out of things to do and those zodiacs are gorgeous. really excited about the upcoming halloween themed event, i'm sure we'll have some greats dragon idea/theme

Feiya, treeback and spelldome . Usually, I don't like the new "machine" dragons, I make a nice exception for the spelldome which I find beautiful and amusing, with its dome.

Likes: * Eggy Hatchy. Even though it can be frustrating at times, it is a lot of fun. And you still have to use some brainwork, regardless of luck. 😉 * Thank you for fixing the redo button bug. * Easier breeding combos, with dragons that have been around for a while. Also with less than 5 elements. * Decent breeding and social cloning odds. * Love the new dragon’s flight deco.
Comments: * The summoning of Treebark is interesting. However, there is little direction on how to obtain it, and not even an alert that it is an available new dragon (with it not showing up in the market). * It would be nice if the summoning process does not take 72 hours. Instantaneous would be better, given one already has spent the EC, why make us wait? * The theme is a little confusing to me. It says Summerthings Magical, and even with my imagination and trying to think outside the box, most of the dragons don’t fit the theme. Further, I feel that the backstories of some of the dragons don’t match the dragons themselves, giving the impression that the dragon and its profile are not completed in tandem. * I appreciate the release of Polarus, but not as a last minute surprise. To be fair, its price is not too outrageous, although the 4 element breeding combo, together with the metal element, creates too many 24+ hour fails. * While the addition of the plant generator is much appreciated, is it possible to make it the same size and style as the other weather generators? 🙏
All in all, I have enjoyed this event. I have made more than enough EC for all the items I need and want. Now, onward to the Halloween event! 🎃👻
My votes this event go to Treebark, Spelldome and the long-awaited Polarus.
Unfortunately if Quamera wasn't so tiny I would have voted for it instead of spelldome.
EVENT FEEDBACK:
Pros:
- Eggy Hatchy. I am super happy to see it return after it being gone for so long, especially since this year has been nothing but donation boards (seriously DECA, please consider reducing the number of events with donations in the future, as it removes the ability to release dragons back for etherium.)
- The limited dragons had pretty nice designs overall, as well as Treebark.
- Breeding combos were very easy for the most part, and the odds for each dragon were higher than usual, making them simple to obtain.
- The decorations added were beautiful as usual, including the anniversary ones.
Suggestions:
- Starter dragons were overall worse than usual. Although I won't enjoy every dragon, there have certainly been better starting lineups than the one this event -- which provides a first impression for players.
- Some prices were really expensive, while others were great. With that said, I would rather see a pattern or consistency in buy price for a dragon.
- Although the breeding combos were simple, a few of them had multiple long fail possibilities - and although this is inevitable for most dragons (i.e. painbow), it is always a decent idea to consider the results which are longer than a day.
- Hex had a 1% co-op clone rate, which unfortunately made it extremely difficult to obtain without buying. In the future, all starter dragons should have a higher co-op clone chance as to give players the option to breed them, as such a low chance effectively forces them to buy the dragon.

So sorry, Adlerist, to add to your ratings right at the end. Time got away on me all week.
Secondly, a HUGE THANK YOU to Deca for bringing Eggy Hatchy back!!!!!!!! I admit that Eggy is time sucking and at times, frustrating, but boy did I miss it! It is quite possibly the single most entertaining element of DragonVale, beyond the breeding and in my opinion, the most exciting thing Deca has introduced to the game. I understand not everybody loves, or even likes, Eggy, but I implore Deca to bring it back more than once every year and a half. I feel like Deca did a great job of offering alternative ways for players to obtain currency this time around. So long as being completely successful at the advanced and spiral levels isn't expected when Deca determines new dragon/deco/habitat/etc costs, players should be able to coexist with Eggy Hatchy even if they play lightly (this goes for the Donation Board too). I'd also like to thank Deca for fixing the redo ad issues.
I wasn't too inspired by many of the dragons this event. Some seemed like they might have been floaters that got pulled off the shelf to fill spaces. I did enjoy Treebark's arrival and the way Deca introduced it. I really enjoyed having him fly around all event. There were several comments on Reddit about collecting the dragon too late. I think this is something Deca needs to address in the future. Perhaps the timeframe for getting the dragon down should be more transparent to players prior to paying.
Polarus was also a pleasant surprise, if a tad late to the event. I'm glad I managed the other limited quickly so I could focus on Polarus. It took me a few days to breed a traited one and I was getting worried.
The Gryphus dragon deco was really nice. I like when dragons get added into decos.
I wish some of the dragons had fit the theme better. It was great having the school event return when school returned in real life though. Generally the dragon theming felt haphazard.
Although not event related, Doily was a lovely addition to the Vale. She's really a beautiful, elegant creature. And while I never feel like I have enough time to breed for the Anniversaries, I didn't do too badly this year. I think it helped that Nottub had great social cloning odds. Thanks!
Thanks to Deca and everyone on the wonderful forum team for a great event.
Elements I particularly appreciated: Treebark's summoning mechanism and some very apt, attractive and magical dragons e.g. Alchemy and Nottub. Also delighted with an unexpected Spoiler competition win.
Eggy Hatchy went well for me after the initial week, glad that the redo button was fixed promptly and I think some of the hardest objective boards were removed.
For me, 11 dragons including Doily and Polarus were too many for the event. Some of the many designs felt less memorable. Also, despite good cloning odds I was not particularly lucky and with the reduced breeding time per dragon, I ended up spending event currency for several dragons rather than cloning them. I also had a notably unsuccessful event from a twinning perspective, again perhaps related to the many dragons and reduced opportunity time. I was very lucky with twinning in recent events though, so it probably all balances out over time.
On a positive note, my rift bred successfully, and well before the event finished, I had cleared my missing rift dragon list.
So thank you Deca and Forum team and onward to the next event.
