I added a couple people on gizzmo and they accepted it but now none of my friends are showing up from here. My Facebook friend does?
Completely close the app from running in the background. If you don't know how double click home button 2 times quickly. At the bottom all apps that are running will show up. Hold down one of them unitl the " x " shows and then click it. That will close it completely. Re open the app and see if that helps.
I've been lurking these forums for a while, but thought I should pop up now. I've added a few of you as friends; feel free to hit me up if you're looking for another Gizmonauts buddy. GCID: DarianWebber
Level 10 is the big level; once there, I can clear every tree/rock/hill that I've seen so far, plus gain access to the battle arena. Every 2 hours, you can use the arena to send two of your bots (level 5+, higher is better) against the bots the computer picks. You choose a main (melee) fighter and a support (ranged) for the battle. Winning seems to get you a bit of cash/xp/sometimes food/supposedly a chance of an artifact (haven't seen one yet); winning ALSO gives the bot a bronze badge worth +10% money. Winning a second time with the same bot upped that to a star badge for +20%. Frankenbot level 8 with the brains upgrade is a beast in the arena in the main slot.
For money-making, I'm going with three performance zones (to hold two Frankenbots and one each of every other performance bot). Early game, having multiple large builder zones filled with level two builder bots will very quickly pay for themselves.
The friend time-boost definitely depends on how much time is remaining. Seems to be about 25% (took three hours off of my nature zone yesterday, and when I clicked on something with 148 minutes left it dropped it to about 108 minutes if I'm remembering correctly).
Yep, breed basic bots to get more specialized bots. No, you don't have to buy Frankenbot, you breed builder + performer bots together, 12 hour breed time. I have one baking right now.
Where do we breed them at? Geez I feel stupid! lol
Also I don't know if anyone seen but how do we send messages to friends within the game or did I misunderstand that?
You breed in the Breeding Lab available in the Services tab in the Market.
Shellee, messages are automatically sent to the friend where you tapped and accelerated something and if you gave a gem. There is no possibility to send a personal message for ex.

Glad to see you came out of lurkdom, welcome!
The hab earning power in the early stages are deceiving. Have a neighbor with special powers and took a look at all the large habs he has.
Another good thing with having friends and visiting their asteroid, is to see how they manage. For ex. Saw that Fletch had bought two extensions of "land" but he encountered new obstacles like those two fallon down rockets, which, i assume, you cannot clear and thus have less new space. So i choose two other fields and was lucky, no rockets!
The rockets can be cleared but it's pricey! 10K. I got one - it's staying for now.
I opted to purchase the Halloween decorations though. I have one Frankenbot and one in the lab being built . . . bred . . . Hmmm can you really breed a robot? Anyway, hopefully no worries about missing anything limited for a few days!

I like the Halloween decos, but am going to wait until I have a bit more earning power, maybe a day or two. Congrats on the 2 Frankens! What names did they get? Mine is Fred, lol.

Welcome to the forum Darian! Glad you joined us! Thanks for all the info!

Ok thanks Viv! I remember us chatting about it would be nice in DV to be able to send a message or have a "chat session"
The other option, of course, is to not worry about it. It's really pretty meaningless. Just gift to people. It will all work out in the end.
Yeh, I guess you are right. I'm gonna try to do what Becky suggested. While playing I noticed I had mail from friends so I went to take a peak. Babybuddyblue sent me a gem so I went and returned the favor without actually clicking on that particular notification. Then I click on it to get rid of it. Maybe that will work? Guess we will see.
Fletch has a great point! I'm going to try the waiting to collect strategy for a minute. Only problem is, we don't get the gems until we click the notification. THAT could be a problem down the road! At the moment I'm saving up to upgrade my Baby Bot Station so I can handle it. I also suspect as everyone settles in we will establish who we trade with day to day much like we did in DV and things will smooth out.

I'm just going to rotate through my neighbor list until some drop away, or never return. Like you say, we will develop a good trading list with time.
Regarding gems you receive, there is a button saying "collect", thus the gem is only added to your account if you push the button. Something else I kind of like in that game, you only know the level of your friends, not their cash, gems or treats amounts
I kind of liked seeing that because then I would know where I'm at in comparison. Perhaps I'm just nosy, but I liked being able to see those. I liked being able to see the levels of other peoples dragons too. I just like knowing how everyone else is doing and what I'm doing in comparison. I was able to develop strategies better that way.

Seeing the cash/gems/food also gave us a way to spot obviously hacked accounts.
As far as where I stand, I've got about 150k cash saved up and am about to hit level 11 (when Large Nature zones become available). I've got one bot of each type that I've bred sitting at level 7 or 8 and have just pushed my Frankenbot to level 9. It gets a lot more expensive to level past 9; jumps from 1000 (8 -> 9) to 2500 (9 -> 10).
What's it take to get a frankenbot? Will just the builder/ performer work....
Any combination that contains builder and performer works, just like the bone/ghost in DV.
