You can still do it.  Let's explore your curiosity.  Take the plunge for Gizmonauts.  Buy an Ipad.  Have another DV park, imagine the possibilities, a whole new world is just for $399.99.  Connect w/ us!

Love you guys but (and here comes the war) - never will buy an Apple product! Have them here at the studio (which the network bought) but have others to use them for editing. Love my Android toys which would have fit nicely with giz's

My latest goal is "buy and deploy a Hydro Bot" but one of those costs 2250 gems! Am I stuck with that goal taking a slot unless I buy one? I see that there is a way to breed one.

You are stuck with that goal until you breed or buy one. I hope you get one quickly. The baby is hydro is one of my favorite bots.

I'm enjoying this game. Comparing it to DV is interesting. I find myself zooming in on DV to see how much time I have left on the bars... and I want to use the fountain of youth on some bots.

Yeah even though it only says "buy" you can breed it and still complete the goal. And being able to see the time left on progress bars was one of my favorite mechanics that I wish would come to DV.

I totally understand about the bars. I frequently did the same thing. I definitely wish that feature would come to DV, and I also wished the fountain of youth would go to Gizmos. I had to leave my hydro's young so that I could enjoy them as babies. The good news is that money became a non-issue, so it didn't really matter.

I'm still trying for that Hydro bot with no success.

I win some and lose some in the battles. I've found this link helpful:

But don't have the good melee items. I'm up to 42 gems right now, and wondering if I should put some of them into a melee device or two instead of waiting to get 50 and upgrade the Baby Bot station. I already have three bays there and haven't needed a fourth.

With only one breeding station there's not a lot of need for 4 slots. Maybe if you hit a couple of 48 hour bots in a row.

It's been a long time since I battled. I remember Grinder with the red disc was a real beast in the front. Repair bot in the back was good too. You can win gizmos in battles, right?

It is taking me a long time to progress in Gizmonauts, compared to DV. With level 1 bits and not clearing obstacles, I am having to breed, hatch and sell. A slow grind to get to level 9 and the nature bot.

Ohhhh, I didn't realize you were keeping all your bots down at level 1. For some reason I thought you'd build up your park and then replace them with babies.

I have won gizmos in a couple of battles, and while clearing some new spots. Not all have been for battle; some for earning more quickly, and others for ... decoration? I can't tell. They have no little notes explaining them.

There is a grid of gizmos in the first post of the Battle Arena thread, which shows which is which. Some of the pictures are missing because we let the domain name lapse and the links don't work. We are working on getting them fixed up.

I invested in the red disc for the Grinder bot. I'm using the hints from here about maximizing our goals & rewards from them, and the gems from you & Ceme have helped tons too.

And... I got a 48-hour clock while breeding, finally! That should be the elusive Hydro bot that I've been trying for since March 8.

Fletch, I went to your old park, so what I did won't help today, but I sent off a FR to Fletch_smf2 a few minutes ago. I think helping others was my favorite part of the game, anyway. Certainly, the battling wasn't.

Finally reached level 9 and the nature zone/bot. That was a lot of breeding and selling bots to earn the necessary XP. Now a bunch more hybrids + Astro and Steam to breed. Should break the monotony for a while. :-)
